· £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
· Full time, 35 hours per week
· Hybrid, working from London office 1-2 days per week
· Closing midnight Tuesday 27th October 2026
· 25 days annual leave plus public holidays and 3 additional days at Christmas
Role
Bowel Research UK are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and people-focused Community Fundraising Officer to develop and grow income from community fundraising and in-memory giving. This role will focus on building strong relationships with supporters, donors and community fundraisers, providing excellent stewardship and helping people to engage with Bowel Research UK in ways that are meaningful to them.
The role will play a key part in delivering fundraising campaigns and activities throughout the year, supporting events and campaigns such as Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, and identifying opportunities to grow participation, income and supporter engagement. Working closely as part of the fundraising team, the Community Fundraising Officer will use their knowledge of supporters and communities to identify opportunities and share insights that can help shape wider fundraising activity.
The postholder will have responsibility for income generated through regular giving and community fundraising, as well as developing the charity’s in-memory giving programme.
The successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated and highly people-focused, bringing experience of building relationships with customers, supporters, donors or communities. This is a supporter-facing role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being on the ground, speaking to people and building rapport through positive and personal interactions.
The Bowel Research UK fundraising team is small but highly effective. They achieve a great deal and work collaboratively, so will offer you the support you need to succeed in the role.
