Temporary Digital Communications Manager
We are recruiting for a Temporary Digital Communications Manager for an amazing climate charity. You will be responsible for developing, posting and promoting exciting and impactful content.You will have a solid track record of delivering high-quality content.
Hybrid or Remote Working, but the initial few weeks you will need to go into their London Office.
The Role:
In close collaboration with the wider Brand, Creative & Digital Content team, you will develop and maintain the organisations social media calendar, including drafting and scheduling content for delivery across multiple digital and social media platforms.
Ensure all content going out on all channels is of the highest quality and is accurate in order to protect the reputation of the charity and its network Co-manage the social media channels and live social coverage during major events.
Ensure that the voice across our digital channels is consistent and aligns with the charity's overall mission and the global communications strategy.
In close collaboration with colleagues from the wider Communications & Events department, tailor social media content for the purpose of increasing engagement.
Liaise regularly with colleagues across the organisation to mine great content and stories from cities acting on climate. Create compelling and cohesive stories to communicate to our online audiences throughout the year.
Help to meet and exceed goals for traffic and audience growth and community engagement.
Create toolkits for cities, partners and key stakeholders to communicate about events, announcements and campaigns.
The Candidate:
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in an engaging way to a variety of target groups.
Expertise in how to leverage different social platforms and community channels to drive growth, engagement, and organisational goals.
Proven experience in the development and production of creative and engaging social media content using Canva.
Experience in social media video editing on Veed/CapCut also desirable.
A deep understanding of all social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, and willingness to learn how to deploy stories across emerging platforms; knowledge of and interest in the use of digital media by different audiences.
Expertise with social media listening and scheduling tools like Sprout Social.
