The Role 
 
As a Warehouse Operations Manager you will oversee the Manse Lane Warehouse in Knaresborough, including donation sorting, storage, and supporting the eCommerce and Facilities teams.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will manage the smooth migration of the sorting operation from the Hornbeam Park Donation Centre to Knaresborough, ensuring minimal disruption for customers, staff, and volunteers. Once operational, you will lead stock control and movement across both the Warehouse and Donation Centre, ensuring both sites are well-resourced and run efficiently seven days a week. Although sorting will move to Knaresborough, donation handling will continue at Hornbeam Park, requiring ongoing process review to minimise stock double-handling. 

Specifically, you will: 

Warehouse Setup & Migration – initial objective 

• Define goals, deliverables, and timelines for the new warehouse project. 

• Create detailed project and budget plans with the Finance Business Partner. 

• Identify resources, manage risks, and ensure operational alignment. 

• Design an efficient warehouse layout and manage setup (equipment, tech, logistics). 

Operational Handover & SOPs 

• Develop and implement new SOPs and adjust existing ones to suit the new site. 

• Support the Centre Manager with Duty Management planning and reconfigure the Hornbeam site to reflect its updated purpose. 

Monitoring, Compliance & Continuous Improvement 

• Monitor success of migration via KPIs (efficiency, inventory accuracy, staff feedback). 

• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and oversee risk assessments. 

Ongoing Operational Management - Donation Centre & Warehouse 

• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of both sites, maintaining compliance, service quality, and brand standards. 

• Oversee the flow of donated stock from receipt to final distribution, minimising double handling and maintaining stock visibility. 

Customer, Donor & Volunteer Experience 

• Create a welcoming, professional environment for donors, supporters, and visitors. 

• Maintain high standards of customer service and manage complaints locally where possible. 

Duty Management 

• Take an active Duty Manager role and ensure robust Duty Management across both sites. 

Stock Logistics & Distribution 

• Oversee logistics including donor collections, stock deliveries, and shop orders. 

• Ensure appropriate stock allocation to retail/eCommerce based on demographics and demand. 

People Management 

• Line manage the Deputy Warehouse Manager, Sorting Assistants, Van Drivers, and volunteers. 

• Ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and high standards are upheld across the team. 

• Lead on recruitment, training, performance management, wellbeing, and development. 

Financial & Commercial Responsibility 

• Operate within budget, ensuring spend is necessary and well-managed. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be ideally educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience in a warehouse / operations management experience. 

• To have proven experience in a warehouse operations role at manager level.

• To have experience of managing people and volunteers including recruitment and development. 

• To have previous experience in charity sector or commercial sector is desirable. 

• To have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel. 

• To be highly organised with good time management skills.

• To be able to react to quickly changing dynamics and flexibility. 

• To have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• To have strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and nurture talent.

• To have proof of your eligibility to work in the UK. 

• A professional qualification check and DBS check (to be undertaken once the role is offered and accepted). 

• To have the ability to travel across the Yorkshire region if required.

Role: Self-Employed Form F Assessor

Pay - £2,000 per Form F Assessment plus 45p mileage.

We are recruiting sessional assessing social workers to undertake Form F assessments .  This is a hybrid working role and you will assess prospective foster carers using a combination of video calling and face-to-face visits. We are particularly looking for assessors in the following areas. 

• Central Scotland
• Fife
• Dundee

Key Duties for Form F Assessors include:

• To undertake and complete Form F assessments in the timescale set out in our policy and guidance.
• To visit personal referees as identified on application form for prospective foster carers.
• To ensure that all checks and references are undertaken and completed.
• To provide to the supervisor, regular written updates of the draft assessment.
• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.
• To be available for supervision, consultation or liaison as required.
• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• We will pay £2000  (inclusive of VAT) upon successful completion of a Form F Assessment.
• £33 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

You will be DipSW, CSS or CQSW qualified and registered with the relevant regulatory body (Social Work England, Social Care Wales or Scottish Social Services Council).

TACT is currently seeking  an experienced panel member with a care experienced background or a registered social worker to join our Fostering Panel in Scotland.

TACT is the UK’s largest fostering charity and has been providing loving families for vulnerable children and young people across the country for over 30 years. We are looking for an experienced panel member who have experience of being looked after in a foster family or residential care, or a registered social worker.

The successful applicants must be IT literate, as documentation is shared at online meetings on a monthly basis. The Panel meets using Microsoft Teams on the second Tuesday of each month, but occasionally additional meetings may also be scheduled, depending on business needs.

The successful candidate may need to travel to attend an annual panel business day in person and other occasional meetings and training. 

In line with our values, we expect fostering panel members to ensure that all decisions are made with regard to the interest of 'children in care', foster carers, and the community in which they live. We welcome candidates who are passionate about the success of fostering services and the outcomes for our children and young people. 

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following Fostering Panel Member duties: - 

• Reading the meeting documents carefully before the meeting and to attend the meeting prepared to raise issues and to contribute to the panel discussion.
• Participating in the making of a recommendations, on each case, drawing on both personal and professional knowledge and experience.
• To attend at least 75 per cent of meetings of the panel.
• To be prepared to attend additional panels, if possible, if requested.
• To participate, with other panel members, in advising on policy and procedural matters as required.
• To address diversity issues and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
• To safeguard the confidentiality of all panel papers and panel discussions.
• To participate in panel induction and in panel training, which will be at least one day per year.
• To participate constructively in the annual review of their panel membership, if this is an agency requirement.

A Standard DBS check clearance is required for this role.  This check will be undertaken by TACT on your behalf.  You will also be required to have professional membership of a relevant body if you are a social worker.

About the Role

As a key part of the delivery team, you'll be at the heart of the action, leading the way in one of 3 clubs: Inclusion, Juniors or Seniors.

Your mission? To create an exciting, high-quality programme that’s fun, engaging, and truly makes a difference—all while keeping young people at the centre of everything we do.

No two days are the same, so you'll need to be versatile, leading the creation of the club offer while supporting both the recruitment and development of the delivery team. You’ll also be responsible for the smooth implementation and operation of the club program whilst supporting the rest of the core Youth Work offer as needed.

You’ll be a crucial part of this new Youth Zone for North East Lincolnshire, welcoming up to 250 young people each session and creating a space where they can thrive.

Youth Worker Team Leader (Inclusion): Leading weekly Inclusion, Partnership and project sessions, where external providers bring fresh, exciting activities for members

Youth Worker Team Leader (Juniors): Leading the way in the Junior Club for young people aged 8 to 12 years

Youth Worker Team Leader (Seniors): Leading the way in the Senior Club for young people aged 13 to 19 (or up to 25 for those with additional needs).

About You

Having a young person focused approach, being passionate about the power and impact of youth work and using it as a vehicle to empower young people to become the very best versions of themselves… is crucial!

You will have/have experience of:

• Creating, developing and leading open-access youth programmes creating a safe environment to deliver engaging programmes for diverse youth demographics (ages 8-19, up to 25 with additional needs/disabilities)
• Safeguarding, ideally as a designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all young people with unwavering commitment and proficiency in related referral processes.
• Managing clear behaviour standards and managing conflict between young people.
• Management with a solid understanding of basic HR processes related to people management, attendance, and staff performance.
• Project management of youth programmes, including H&S requirements, staff scheduling and budgeting having the ability to prioritise deadlines to achieve impactful outcomes.

The Scotland team are seeking a Fostering Panel Vice Chair with Social Work background to support the Chair in conducting monthly virtual panel meetings held on second Tuesday of the month via Microsoft Teams.

In line with our values, we expect each panel member to ensure that all decisions are made regarding the interest of ‘children in care,’ foster carers, and the community in which they live.

The successful candidate may need to travel to attend occasional in-person meetings. 

As a Fostering Panel Vice Chair, you will be able to evidence:

• Your understanding of the fostering process and practice within the legislative framework or similar.
• Have at least 2 years’ experience of sitting on a fostering panel.
• A history of employment experience at team manager level or above, ideally in a social work or family placement setting.
• Having substantial experience of chairing meetings.
• An ability to evaluate complex reports and assessments while maintaining clarity within the decision-making parameters.
• The capability to develop, monitor and maintain policies and procedures to the highest standard within TACT

As a Fostering Panel Vice Chair your duties will include:

• Occasionally chairing Panel meetings, in the absence of the Chair, ensuring that multifaceted issues are thoroughly considered and recorded, having undertaken thorough preparation for meetings.
• Co-ordinating and directing the work of the Fostering Panel and ensure the quality of foster carers recruited, meet relevant standards.
• Facilitation of the active participation of all panel members alongside the Chair of Panel.
• Regular liaison with the Chair of Panel, decision-maker and with other senior managers as required.
• Participation in the recruitment, selection, and induction of new panel members.
• To assist the Chair in regular planning of training for and appraisal of panel members and support with Ofsted Inspections as and when required.

AllChild is looking for a Delivery Partner Manager to further develop and manage the AllChild partnership of voluntary organisations to ensure excellent quality specialist support which drives positive outcomes for children and young people. Location: Home-based, with occasional travel for meetings and events. We provide equipment to support you working from home and pay reasonable expenses when you need to travel for work.

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 a year.

Job overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing strategy for our conferences, events, membership and consultancy services within the education sector. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting the CST brand, increasing attendance and engagement at our events and driving membership and business growth through strategic marketing activities. Key responsibilities

Bereavement Support Services Lead (Digital). This is a rewarding and key role in the Bereavement Support Services team. The team provides a wide range of services, including the Helpline, Online Community, memory making, and print materials. The aim of this post is to provide operational and line management so that the BSS team can provide consistent, high-quality emotional support to bereaved families who seek support from Sands, as well as supervising the work of the Bereavement Support Officers on the frontline. As our digital support continues to grow and develop, we are looking for someone to support and inspire the team in this expanding area, working closely with Sands’ Bereavement Support Digital Coordinator. The Bereavement Support Services Team offers 1-2-1 support via telephone, email and other digital channels, and is usually open from 10-3 from Monday to Friday and 6-9pm from Tuesday to Thursday with occasional extended opening hours. Support is also available through digital channels; our Online Community, direct messenger on Instagram and Facebook and various closed groups on Facebook which need to be regularly monitored and moderated to provide a safe, user-led space accessible to all. In future a wider range of channels may be used. There are three Bereavement Support Leads (BSLs) including this post holder, and between them they are expected to cover all regular opening hours on a rota basis. Each shift will start 30 minutes before the helpline opens and end 30 minutes after the helpline closes, and BSLs will divide up the week in order to be present during shifts and ensure at least one BSL or the Head of BSS is available to the team 9am-4pm Monday to Friday and 5.30pm-9.30pm Tuesday to Thursday for safeguarding and general support.
