Project Manager

Have you been a Project Manager in the charity sector working on a large complex government funded project?  Are you used to coming in, setting up project structure: gant charts, risk registers, project plans, governance, funder reporting systems etc?

An opportunity is available to join a recognised Royal College on becoming the project lead for a new government funded project.

This role offers flexible hybrid, mostly home working and an 18 month contract.

The role:

As Project Manager, you coordinate all the varied work streams associated with the funded project.   

Responsibilities:

• Lead on development from high level concept to successful delivery
• Document project deliverables, plans, resources and benefits.
• Facilitate and contribute to project governance structures including steering groups, and boards, and convening, facilitating and managing working groups.
• Drafting requirements and seeking quotations, managing tenders, negotiating contracts
• Volunteer recruitment and event procurement
• Undertaking stakeholder mapping and developing full project communication plans.
• identifying and managing the implementation of system changes
• Providing regular, timely and accurate status updates and assessments of project performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitoring income and spend against budget, highlighting variances
• Drafting, contributing to and editing briefings, committee papers, reports, presentations and other documents

Essential criteria:

• Experience project managing funded projects in the charity sector
• Ability to manage multiple project streams
• Skilled with reporting and stakeholder engagement
• Demonstrable experience producing project plans, monitoring and reporting systems
• Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at varying levels
• Track record in project delivery completion

Salary:  £41,600 - £44,000
Contract: Fixed term 18 months
