Work setting: Hybrid (1 to 2 days per week from the office)

Salary: between £58,000 to £66,000 per annum

Hours: 18-month FTC, Full-time (possible extension)

TPP are recruiting a Senior Research Delivery Lead on behalf of our client, that believes in the transformative impact that evidence-based insights can have in supporting improvements in education systems, informing policymakers and other key decision makers, and strengthening practice in the classroom. This is a great opportunity if you want to be involved in leading the operational delivery of evaluation and survey projects, making a tangible impact on education research.

The Role:

As a Senior Research Delivery Lead, you will manage and enhance evaluation and survey operations. Your leadership will be crucial in designing and delivering high-quality operational elements for studies involving primary quantitative data collection from pupils, schools, and other educational settings.

Main responsibilities:

Operational Delivery:

  • Lead the definition and implementation of operational models for quantitative data collection studies.
  • Collaborate with the Evaluation and Survey Operations Lead to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Write and cost operational sections of proposals.
  • Oversee programme and project management of operational elements.
  • Ensure clear stipulation of recruitment, engagement, and data collection activities.
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and escalation points for project delivery.
  • Continuously improve operational processes, drive development, and produce business plans for change.

Compliance and Ethics:

  • Ensure compliance with UK data protection legislation and data security requirements.
  • Ensure ethical data collection practices with minimal burden on participants.
  • Maintain clear, engaging, and succinct communication with research participants.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, external clients, partners, and contacts.
  • Manage third-party relationships and ensure relevant contracts comply with policies and legislation.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Work with the Head of Operational Delivery to manage project processes and improvements effectively.
  • Represent survey and evaluation interests in operational process development.
  • Lead and implement organisational initiatives.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in delivering large-scale projects involving participant recruitment and data collection.
  • Experience in line and team management, with the ability to motivate and maximise performance.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in strategic and financial analysis with experience working with complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
