The Role
Neighbourhood Network Schemes (NNS) are responsible for building community capacity and developing a clear view of the existing community infrastructure and then building connections between assets, statutory organisations and local people. Edgbaston is one of 10 designated Localities in Birmingham. The purpose of NNS is to ensure that citizens over 50 and adults with additional needs can access community support, improving their wellbeing and quality of life. This is achieved through identifying, supporting and developing the community offer provided by individuals, groups, organisations, services and places in the constituency (we often refer to these collectively as “assets”).
Having moved on from the initial phase which was to map the area and build relationships this is now a role that is more about maintaining those relationships and increasing the capacity of these assets. However, there will always be a need to promote the NNS to new audiences and ensure knowledge of the area remains current so the role will continue to include developing networks and stakeholder engagement.

About You
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and empathy with a range of client groups.
You will have:
- A minimum of 2 years working in an engagement or community development role with diverse community settings with statutory and third sector organisations
- Recent experience of working with community/grassroots organisations
- An understanding of information sharing, consent and confidentiality issues and risks
- Experience and understanding of the importance of equalities, diversity and inclusion
- An understanding of the lived experience of individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ communities and those living with disability/additional needs

Purpose of the job: To deliver mandatory training for volunteers and paid trainees and to design and deliver advice training to external organisations to support capacity building within the community.
The Role
Citizens Advice Enfield is a busy service helping around 6,000 clients a year to solve around 25,000 problems. We are open 5 days a week and currently operate a telephone adviceline triage service from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Our priority commissioned areas are Benefits, Debt and Housing and we have a small team of caseworkers for each. Appointments are booked through a combination of self-referral via the adviceline and referrals from funded partners.
Role Description
We are looking to take on a Capacity Building Training Officer to join our in-house training and development team which will form part of the wider Human Resources management function/team. You will be responsible for delivering all mandatory learning for volunteers and paid trainees to reach their competence and to design and deliver advice training to external organisations to support capacity building within the community. This will be both in-person delivered training as well as via online platforms.
This role will be working closely with key external stakeholders across the voluntary and community sector as well as internally with the management and supervisor team.

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Programme Support Coordinator to support the delivery of our Sport England funded national programme that empowers people with a learning disability to get active. You will work across 2 key projects:
· Our Active Community – supporting people with a learning disability and their communities to become more active.
· Mencap Active Community – helping to grow, engage and upskill a national network of stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about health and wellbeing for people with a learning disability, with strong coordination and communication skills.
Mencap are a Sport England funded system partner, and this role is a full-time fixed term contract until end of March 2027. You will sit within the Active Communities team supporting the Programme Lead, Network Development Partner and 5 Community Partners.
What You Will Be Doing
· Liaise with Community Partners and support them with their Our Active Community workload. Tasks will vary but could involve asset mapping, attending forums, writing up meeting notes, creating Easy Read documents, and compiling newsletters.
· Liaise with the Network Development Partner to organise and support national forums, webinars, and learning events to share best practice and amplify lived experience.
· Support with our online platforms for Mencap Active Community, signing up stakeholders and keeping content up to date and engaging. This will include the development of inclusive resources, toolkits, and communications for national distribution.
· Provide coordination support for the delivery of our Learning Disability and Sport workshop in terms of bookings, liaising with tutors, co-trainers, attendees and capturing impact.
· Lead on our communications plan by creating content and promoting our work both internally and externally across various communication channels.
· Monitor our sports inbox and respond to general enquiry emails.
· Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including data analysis, capturing learnings and creating case studies.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Advisor to provide sound technical advice and guidance to ensure high quality qualitative outcome measurement tools and approaches in line with our increasing portfolio in disability and social inclusion in order to continuously improve Sightsavers’ evidence base.
As the MEL Advisor you will lead qualitative project baseline and endline data collection, coordination, reporting and learning to improve the quality of our programmes and Sightsavers impact. You will maintain and further develop Sightsavers’ qualitative outcome monitoring approach across our thematic areas and ensure high quality data collection, analysis and reporting.
Sightsavers has developed and introduced a MEL framework to measure the organisation’s strategic progress - Learning Accountability and Monitoring Progress (LAMP). The post holder will support its processes and make a significant contribution to understanding progress using qualitative evidence.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and strengthening practices

Lead on the strengthening and design of innovative and participatory monitoring and evaluation methodologies and tools to assess outcomes and impact of programmes; support the integration of successful approaches in routine MEL practice.

Lead on the piloting, implementation and revision of Sightsavers MEL approaches in existing and new projects including strong links with LAMP; support MEL team members to implement appropriate tools.

Contribute to Country Office, Regional and Global capacity building plans and provide MEL-focused training and facilitation.
Technical Support and guidance

Strengthen the use of Theories of Change (ToC) within projects through participating in their development and ensuring clear relationships between ToC and baselines and endlines.

Provide technical support to logframe development during the project design process ensuring strong links with LAMP, particularly for social inclusion and inclusive education projects.

Contribute to project MEL planning by ensuring continuity between baseline and endline data collection tools, and annual monitoring tools.

Ensure the accurate design of evidence gathering elements, including clear and robust rationale, budgets and resourcing.

Maintain open lines of communication among internal stakeholders about project progress and escalate risk when needed. A key focus is to assist institutional funding and senior management with communications on project progress and challenges.
Evidence generation and learning

Lead Country and Global teams to conduct evidence generation activities to support strategic direction including, project baseline, annual and endline data collection, reporting and learning at project and portfolio (strategy) level

Analyse, consolidate and disseminate indicator baseline and endline data, provide technical support to donor reporting when necessary

Support the integration of needs and opinions expressed by people and communities we serve

Collaborate with MEL team members to analyse performance data, write reports and provide recommendations

The post holder is expected to travel up to eight weeks a year locally and internationally. The role offers flexible working from home and the office to be agreed upon with the line manager.
Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate you will possess a degree in a relevant field or subject (international development, public health, social sciences), or equivalent learning and experience. You will have a background in the comprehensive design and delivery of outcome focussed qualitative approaches/techniques including participatory MEL, tool development, data collection, analysis and reporting, and have experience of analysing rich qualitative data from multiple sources including the use of appropriate analysis methods and data analysis software tools.

Summary of the role:
As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK (MAUK) programmes. This newly established role sits within the Talent and Learning team and reports into the Director, Talent and Learning. The Volunteer Manager role will be responsible for enhancing and expanding Provide's volunteering initiatives.
This includes significantly growing volunteer engagement, fostering strong relationships with staff, implementing strategic development plans and creating meaningful opportunities for volunteers and will play a crucial part in enriching the services we provide and enhancing the overall patient experience within our communities.
The main duties of the Volunteer Manager include:
- Developing a long-term vision for volunteer engagement across the organisation
- Contribute to and deliver the Volunteer Strategy
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies across the organisation
- Design and deliver induction, training and mentorship programs to maximise volunteer engagement
- Monitor volunteer attendance and maintain quality experiences
- Co-ordinate cross functional teams to optimise volunteer engagement
- Develop partnerships with external organisations and manage strategic relationships
- Manage volunteer budgets and expenses

The important stuff
Salary: £24,831 FTE (pro-rata - £14,899)
Hours: Part time, 3 days a week, between 9.30am – 5.30pm, Tuesday – Thursday (with some flexibility and occasional evening or weekend work for events such as Spear Celebrations); Initially one-year fixed-term with the hope of becoming permanent
Location: Trinity Cheltenham

Key Responsibilities
Spear Foundation
- Recruit young people onto the course and prepare them to engage.
- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions for up to 15 young people to transform their attitudes and readiness to step into the world of work.
- Work with volunteers to deliver one-to-one weekly sessions to check-in on individual progress, guide and motivate them.
- Build relationships with the young people and keep them engaged.
Spear Career
- Maintain contact with trainees and continue relationships with them to keep track of their progress into employment and encourage them.
- Maintain records through data gathering and data entry into Salesforce.
Relationship management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses and other organisations.
- Participate in job fairs, run taster sessions, recruit and support volunteers for mock interview days, and welcome visitors to the centre.
Church community
- Fully engage with the Trinity and St Paul’s staff teams, including participation in staff prayers, socials and retreat days.
- Be an advocate for the Spear Programme within the life of the church, including the recruitment of volunteers.
- Encourage and build prayer support for Spear.
- Help facilitate connections between the life of the church and trainees (past and present)
