Our three coordinator roles are vital components of this project. We want to attract candidates from the South West of England, South East of England and Wales - sound local knowledge (and travel) will be an important part of this job.
Purpose of the roles:
- To be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of Neighbourhood Watch’s partner project involving Neighbourhood Watch volunteers within one of the regional areas.
- Delivering training to volunteers so they can deliver information sessions to community groups.
- Organising community events where information sessions are delivered by volunteers.
- Ensuring information sessions are delivered to the highest and consistent standards, and that feedback requests are acted upon swiftly.
Hours of employment are:
- South East of England 0.6 FTE (21 hours per week)
- South West of England 0.8FTE (28 hours per week)
- Wales 0.8FTE (28 hours per week)
All on a 12 month fixed term contract. Core hours are 10am-12pm and 2-4pm with an unpaid lunch break.
Neighbourhood Watch is looking for someone who can develop a strong volunteering base and support them. The ideal candidate will be a good self-starter and have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and recruit excellent volunteers and mentors who can contribute to the work.
The successful applicant will be motivated and passionate about the work that Neighbourhood Watch does and the positive effect it has on the community. They will be very approachable and enjoy working as part of a wider team but also able to manage their own time and workload. The successful applicant will need access to transport. The successful applicant will have a personal style that is in line with Neighbourhood Watch’s vision and values. Someone who is supportive, approachable, responsible, reliable, and personable.

Job Title: Caring Dads Practitioner
Hours: 22.5 hours per week across 3 days.
Salary: £16,200 per annum (£27,000.00 Full Time Equivalent)
Base: Ashurst / Colocation venues, Southampton
Contract: Part Time - 12 months Fixed Term Contract (extension subject to funding)
Caring Dads exists to change current practice to better include fathers in efforts to enhance the safety and well-being of their children. The practitioner will work directly with fathers with an aim to improve relationships with their children, families, and co-parents/carers. This will include promoting the service to a range of teams across Hampshire and Southampton, to generate programme referrals. You will work closely with Hampton Trust domestic abuse perpetrator service to identify client suitability for the Caring Dads programme.
As the Caring Dads Practitioner, you will be required to deliver the Caring Dads and Accredited Domestic Abuse Prevention Training (ADAPT) Programme. This includes one to one support and group work. Groups are delivered on weekday evenings; you will be required to deliver one group work sessions per week.
You will undertake treatment and risk assessments of individuals causing harm in their relationships; this includes active case/risk management of families living with domestic abuse. Although this position is based in Ashurst, you will be co-located into social work teams across Hampshire three days per week, with an aim to providing support and advice in identifying suitable families for the Caring Dads and ADAPT programme.

About the role:
The Domestic Abuse Services Practitioner will play a key role in the development and delivery of a range of established and innovative interventions. Part of the role will consist of working directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse, including suitability and risk assessments, delivery of interventions, facilitation of group programmes, risk identification, information sharing and preparation of reports for courts and other agencies.
For this role is it essential that you have previously worked with individuals using harmful behaviour in their relationships and/or victims/survivors of domestic abuse. Experience of delivering group work interventions is desirable; however, we will consider applications from candidates who demonstrate an aptitude for the role.
You will need to be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies to deliver the best possible outcomes within a multi-agency setting. As well as being tenacious in support of your clients and adept at problem solving.
IT literacy is a must and candidates must evidence both the ability to use bespoke packages and excellence in their recording practice.

About the Role:
As Victim Awareness Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering training and awareness raising activities in relation to victims of crime. The role will work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Thames Valley Police, criminal justice agencies as well as other statutory agencies and third sector organisations across the Thames Valley.
You will lead on developing this new content for training as well as consulting with stakeholders on their training needs and mapping emerging areas where further input is required. As part of the role, you will be responsible for developing this range of training programmes and keeping training materials up to date. You will maximise the use of social media accounts for training, victim awareness and awareness of specific crime types including Sexual Violence and Modern Day Slavery. You will attend events and presentations to engage the local community and increase their knowledge on support for victims of crime. To assist delivery of your role you will recruit and support a cohort of trained volunteers to perform the roles of Criminal Justice Champions and Engagement Champions volunteers.
You will need to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the training requirements as well as experience of delivering presentations and structured training programmes and talks to a range of audiences. You will need to be IT literate and be effective with your communication.
