We currently have an opportunity for a Team Leader to join the Children & Young People Team within our Homicide Service.

About the role:
Please note: this role is home based, however extensive travel within the region (East of England which covers all of the above listed Counties) is expected. Most weeks will require travel throughout the region as well as nationally when required.
You will lead a team of CYP Caseworkers who deliver support in schools, community settings and homes. We offer a range of interventions to CYP including one to one support (digitally and in person); Peer Support and outreach within the community.
You will need:
- previous experience of working directly with children & young people
- a sound understanding of the complexities of delivering front line services
- knowledge & understanding of the education environment & working with schools and further/higher education establishments
- experience of performance management & producing reports
- to be a creative & compassionate leader who can lead by example, sharing knowledge & expertise to support the continued development of the team to deliver high standards of support
- an ability to work as part of a team, as well as managing your own diary/work priorities is a must
- knowledge of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessments
- ability to analyse & use information to solve problems and report on data quality and compliance
- practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality & safe working practice and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
- demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus
- extensive experience of effectively leading and managing a team, monitoring performance and service delivery to meet contractual requirements.
- to be able to work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands
- good IT skills, able to use a range of software including Word, Excel and Case Management systems
- experience of the impact of trauma and bereavement and the importance of trauma informed practice, especially when supporting children and young people
