JOB TITLE: Chef de Partie REPORTING TO: Head Chef HOURS: 40 hours per week. JOB TYPE: Full time — Permanent SALARY: £26,000–£28,000 PER ANNUM JOB PURPOSE We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Waverley Abbey. Set in beautiful surroundings just outside Farnham, our kitchen serves everything from relaxed café food to weddings, events and special gatherings. It’s a varied role in a busy, friendly kitchen where good food, thoughtful hospitality and doing things well really matter. You’ll work closely with our Head Chef and the wider team, preparing fresh food, helping deliver events and services, and playing your part in creating the kind of experience our guests remember. You don’t need to know everything already. We’re looking for someone with some professional kitchen experience, solid basic skills, a good eye for detail and, above all, a positive attitude and appetite to learn.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING > Preparing and cooking fresh food for our café, weddings, functions and events.

> Supporting the Head Chef and wider kitchen team across day to-day service and special events.

> Maintaining high standards of presentation, consistency and attention to detail.

> Working confidently and calmly during busy services.

> Following our food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.

> Keeping your section organised, clean and ready for service.

> Being a positive, reliable member of a close-knit hospitality team.

ABOUT YOU You’ll probably have worked as a Commis Chef, Chef de Partie or in a similar professional kitchen role. More important than a perfect CV is the way you work: you care about food, notice the details and want to keep learning. Previous experience in a professional kitchen.

> Good core culinary skills and a willingness to develop them further.

> Able to organise your work and use your initiative during busy periods.

> A team player who communicates well and enjoys working with others.

> Food safety and hygiene training/certification.
