The postholder will play a key role in advancing the communications, campaigns and public affairs work of Southall Black Sisters (SBS), strengthening the organisation’s public profile and amplifying its mission to end violence against women and girls (VAWG), particularly as it affects Black, minoritised and migrant women.
The role will support the development and delivery of strategic communications and campaigns that promote SBS’s services, policy priorities and advocacy work, with particular attention to immigration and no recourse to public funds (NRPF). Working collaboratively with SBS colleagues, project partners and, where appropriate, victim-survivors, the postholder will help ensure SBS’s communications are impactful, ethical and grounded in lived experience.
Through creative and strategic use of digital, media and public-facing platforms, the postholder will contribute to raising awareness, influencing public discourse and strengthening protections and rights for Black, minoritised and migrant victim-survivors.

About the role
The Impact and Learning Consultant will play a central role in advancing how the Vitol Foundation understands, measures and deepens its impact. They will build on existing frameworks, tools and processes developed by our Head of Impact, Learning and Strategy who is due to go on maternity leave, as well as bring their own expertise to further strengthen our approach to impact and learning, embedding it into our day-to-day decisions. As our lead expert in this area, the Consultant will ensure that our strategy and grantmaking are guided by emerging data and evidence, and support continuous learning across all our work.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the field of measurement and evaluation, combining strategic leadership experience with strong hands-on technical skills to support Foundation colleagues and nonprofit partners. They will have experience with a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods and working in global settings, especially to support local partners operating in low-resource and/or emergency environments. This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights tailored to different audiences, including Vitol Foundation colleagues, our board and non-technical external stakeholders.
Above all, the candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to the vision, mission and values of the Vitol Foundation and improving people’s lives. They will report directly to our CEO and be part of a small but enthusiastic team of people committed to making a difference. Key responsibilities
Impact measurement and reporting
- Continue rollout of the foundation‑level impact framework across our grant portfolio, making ongoing adjustments and clarifications as it’s being road-tested with a growing number of grantees.
- Design and refine grant‑level impact measures. Develop impact indicators for new grants and review existing ones, working closely with programme managers and partners to ensure alignment with project goals, partner capacity and the foundation‑level impact framework.
- Review and strengthen data quality of incoming partner reports to ensure that progress is meaningfully captured through quantitative and qualitative indicators. Check for clarity, completeness, consistency and data quality, and provide feedback or make revisions as needed.
- Support uptake and adjustments to our impact dashboards in Salesforce to ensure clarity and usefulness for Foundation colleagues. Work with the Operations Manager and external developers to implement changes where needed.
Learning and strategy implementation
- Regularly synthesise and share lessons learned from across our grant portfolio as well as from the wider international development sector. Highlight emerging data, evidence and findings, and their implications for the Foundation’s strategy and grants.
- Conduct rapid evidence reviews to inform sector‑level strategies and individual grants as they are developed or revised. Work closely with programme leads and partners to ensure emerging evidence is reflected in design and implementation, and to identify ways to build credible evidence to strengthen the impact of our grants.
- Serve as a technical expert for externally-led evaluations of our grants, including reviewing research protocols, data collection tools, analysis plans, and consent and safeguarding processes. Note: evaluations will be commissioned by external parties, this role will not manage evaluation contracts or teams.
Internal and external communications
- Draw out insights from impact data, other programme documents and external sources to inform management and board reporting, including regular tracking of portfolio‑level outcomes, key trends and lessons learned.
- Work with the Head of Communications to draft content for internal and external audiences, using relevant data and statistics and creating compelling visualisations that reinforce key messages.
Qualifications
Essential
- Educational background: Advanced degree in a relevant field (for example, public policy, global development, business administration).
- Professional experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in impact measurement, strategic learning, or programme evaluation in philanthropy, non-profits or social impact sectors.
- Analytical rigour and insight: Demonstrated ability to synthesise complex data and strategic insights; proven record of shaping high-level organisational strategies.
- Facilitation and communication: Strong skills in facilitating discussions, presenting insights to senior leadership, and translating complex data into accessible, strategic information.
- Project management and adaptability: Track record of managing complex research and evaluation projects with multiple stakeholders; able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

- Familiarity with using Salesforce as a grant management system.

Community Rail Network is a national not-for-profit organisation supporting a growing ‘community rail’ movement, which helps communities get the most from their railways, promotes sustainable and inclusive travel, coordinates volunteering and place-making, and brings people together.
Community rail is made up of 76 community-based partnership organisations, and c.1,300 station friends volunteer groups and other community-led initiatives around Britain. Their activities range from creative projects for young people, to advising train operators on service improvements, to building travel confidence among marginalised groups, to biodiversity projects at stations, to promoting greener tourism by rail.

About this role
This role is crucial for us, our members and their communities, especially at the current time, with our need to seize on the opportunities of rail reform and devolution, promote wider use of sustainable transport, and bring communities together. You will spearhead our external affairs strategy and plans, building political relationships, influencing decision-making and raising awareness of community rail and its insights, while ensuring effective communications with our members and helping them to have a voice locally and regionally. Skills and competencies

Other information
As you will be home-based, we are flexible about your location. However, you will be expected to travel to in-person full team meetings quarterly (usually in West Yorkshire), and you will need to bring your team together (currently all West Yorkshire based) with similar regularity in between. Attendance at in-person events and meetings is also important. We therefore welcome applications from those with decent public transport links, not too far from a railway station, to enable journeys to be made sustainably.
This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week. We use a flexi-time system with core hours 10am-3pm, and are committed to being a flexible, supportive and understanding employer. This is a permanent position with a probationary period of six months.

6.To use IT tools to ensure that StreetGames functions effectively and efficiently, working closely with the StreetGames IT Manager on implementation as appropriate.

The role:
The Building Operations Support Officer (Hard Services and Projects Coordinator) role has oversight of all external maintenance contractors ensuring all periodical compliance checks are completed, and that onsite contractors are fully inducted and are equipped with the necessary permits to work. This role requires working closely with the Building Operations Soft Services Officer and the Building Operations Coordinator.
The role ensures that Shakespeare’s Globe buildings (on site and off site) are appropriately maintained and in good conditions and working order; and will assist the Deputy Head of Estates and Capital Projects with the implementation of Health and Safety Policy across the Globe estate. This role will form an integral part of the Building Operations Emergency Response and 24/7 call out team.
The team:
The Building Operations and Security (BOPS) team plays a central role in ensuring that the Globe’s environment remains safe, compliant, and fully operational at all times. This team oversees the maintenance and performance of all building systems across the theatres, offices, public spaces, the Swan Bar and Restaurant, and offsite properties, while working closely with The Security team to keep the site safe for audiences, staff, and artists.
Working with other departments, the team supports the smooth running of performances, events, education programmes, and commercial activities by maintaining high standards of building safety, life-safety systems, and operational readiness. As part of this team, the Building Operations Support Officer (Hard Services & Projects Coordinator) plays a key role in managing essential maintenance, coordinating contractors, supporting compliance, and contributing to the Globe’s emergency response arrangements.
The skills:
- Proven experience coordinating hard FM services within a complex estate.
- Practical experience working with and overseeing external maintenance contractor.
- Experience managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and reactive repairs.
- Demonstrable experience maintaining and reviewing compliance documentation and statutory records.
- Experience supporting emergency response, call-out, or facilities-related incident management.
- Strong understanding of building compliance requirements, including Electrical testing, Legionella control water hygiene, Fire Risk Assessment processes.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator and capable of liaising professionally with contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proactive, and consistently promoting a strong H&S culture.
- Calm, reliable, and responsive, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota and attend out-of-hours incidents when necessary.

We’re hiring a Fundraising Officer at WeSwim, this is a relationship-led fundraising role with real ownership and influence.
At WeSwim, we support disabled adults to swim in welcoming, inclusive volunteer run clubs across London. For many of our swimmers, the water offers a new freedom, easing pain, building confidence, and opening up new ways to move and connect. Our work is powered by community, care and people who believe swimming should be accessible to everyone.
We’re now looking for a Fundraising Officer to lead our community fundraising and individual giving efforts and help shape the future of WeSwim’s income.
We already have a strong community of swimmers and volunteers who care deeply about WeSwim. In this role, you’ll work with the community to create more fundraising activitym supporting our members to fundraise in ways that feel achievable, inclusive and meaningful. You’ll be the main point of contact for community fundraisers, creating simple tools and resources that help people feel confident getting involved.
You’ll also work closely with the CEO to develop and grow WeSwim’s individual giving and monthly donations, helping to transform our mix of income over time.
You’ll build thoughtful supporter journeys, create simple and engaging fundraising resources, and help deliver campaigns that clearly show the impact of WeSwim’s work. No two weeks will look the same, but every week will be purposeful and people-centred.
This is a part-time role (15 hours per week) with a high level of trust, autonomy and collaboration. It’s ideal for a proactive fundraiser who enjoys building relationships, thinking creatively and taking ownership. Someone who wants to be close to the ground and see their work make a tangible difference in a small charity.

Key Responsibilities:
Community Fundraising
- Inspire & support individuals and groups to run their own fundraising activities (e.g., bake sales, swim challenges, quiz nights).
- Act as the primary contact for all community fundraisers, including swimmers, volunteers, supporters, and local groups.
- Develop accessible fundraising resources and an annual plan of community fundraising activities, moments and campaigns.
Individual Giving & Monthly Donations
- Lead the development and growth of WeSwim’s monthly giving programme.
- Deliver a high-quality stewardship programme for individual donors including welcome and impact communications.
- Use data to track donor retention, upgrade opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Campaigns, Communications & Community Engagement
- Plan and deliver key fundraising campaigns (e.g. Christmas Appeal, Giving Tuesday).
- Create engaging fundraising content and stories across email, social media, the website and fundraising platforms.
- Build relationships with community groups and partners, representing WeSwim at relevant events.
Systems, Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate fundraising records and supporter data.
- Monitor fundraising performance and produce reports and insights.
- Contribute to improving fundraising systems and digital tools.
