We are an award-winning national charity which trains over 9,000 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid through a team of 300 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. About the role:

As a fully trained Homicide Family Caseworker you will be responsible for managing your own complex caseload to the highest quality standards. You will need to be able to travel to home visits within, and occasionally outside of area, and therefore a driving license and use of a car are essential. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.

You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience. Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.

About the role:
This role is home-based with egular travel to our office in Plymouth & throughout Devon and Cornwall. As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker you will:
- Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime (primarily domestic abuse) who accept ongoing support which will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users
- Work alongside and oversee the casework management of a small number of volunteer supporters
- Liaise and actively engage with other local domestic abuse providers to share information on the VS service offer and options for survivors
- Take part in wider VS development around domestic abuse
- Working as part of a team with staff and the volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients
You will need:
- Understanding of the impact of crime on victims such as domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime and anti-social behaviour

- Ability to balance competing needs and priorities

About the role:
You will be support victims of ASB, working with a multitude of partners across all local authority areas to ensure their expectations of services are clear and their personal needs are met. You will work with both adults and young people & work closely with partners. Ultimately, you will help them cope, recover and move forward from their experiences.
You will provide high quality support to all victims of Anti-Social Behaviour managing a caseload and offering support over the telephone and in person, including home visits. You will assess the victims needs and provide emotional support, advocacy and practical help.
You will also mentor and be responsible for volunteers who will assist you with your caseload and support lower risk victims.
You will work closely with the local Council(s) ASB team and environmental health department, police, housing and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for victims, as well as a wide variety of people including people with additional vulnerabilities and repeat victims.
You will need to work well in a multi-agency environment, be dynamic, organised and flexible in how you work and support our clients.

Cranstoun are proud to work with the West Midlands Police Crime and Commissioner to deliver the Cranstoun Arrest Referral Service within the custody suites of West Midlands Police, and West Midlands Courts, offering drug and alcohol using offenders the opportunity to break the cycle of substance related crime.
Are you currently working as a substance use worker, probation officer, or could you bring transferable skills and experience to our team? Are you a good listener? Can you motivate people to change? Are you comfortable working with vulnerable people? This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on peoples’ lives!
You will work between police custody and criminal courts. You will assess, advise and refer offenders, providing them with the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use. Working with courts, you will promote the use of Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (Drug Rehabilitations Requirements and Alcohol Treatment Requirements) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributing to Pre-Sentence Reports and advocate for our service users.
You will be responsible for delivering all elements of substance use work, including assertive engagement, harm reduction support (including naloxone provision), as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by people who use drugs and alcohol, and who commit crime, and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to make positive changes to their behaviour, health and well-being.

Cranstoun is a social justice and harm reduction charity empowering people to empower change. We offer a wide range of services across England within drug and alcohol, domestic abuse, children and young people’s services, criminal justice and housing.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the children and young people’s team for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to be part of shaping and delivering a new early support youth hub pilot within Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Dudley. The hub will support people aged 13+ and those who feel they still require a young people’s approach up to 25. It brings together the specialisms of Cranstoun, complimented by wider partnership delivery and lead areas of responsibility.
We have three positions, each to have a lead theme area, including relationships, youth engagement and emotional health and wellbeing. As this is a pilot, these lead themes may change and develop depending upon the needs of young people and the service. (Please state your preference during your application).
You will be the first point of contact within the youth hub, providing initial information, advice and guidance and facilitating connections to other support or specialist services. You will be expected to provide a range of planned engagement activities/clubs and undertake wellbeing coaching for those who need help. This early support youth hub will play a crucial role in providing: -
· Accessible open access information, advice and guidance.
· Tailored emotional and practical support that is trauma informed.

· Preventing escalation including wellbeing coaching to those who access the hub that may need short term goals focused support.

West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC) is looking for an individual who has experience of the sexual violence sector or an aligned field and a knowledge and understanding of sexual violence and its impacts.
You will be part of a supportive team that brings together all the skills that WMRSASC has to support survivors of sexual violence
- The Culturally Responsive Independent Sexual Violence Advocate will have a caseload, which will include supporting survivors from Minority Ethnic communities.
- This post aims to identify clients from Minority Ethnic communities who do not access the Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy service, identify barriers to them seeking support, and find innovative ways to overcome those barriers, so that they feel able to access the service if they wish.
- The role will aim to promote self-referrals and to reach out to Minority Ethnic communities. Making sure that the role meets the diverse needs of the communities.
- The role will raise the profile of and promote the Specialist Minority Ethnic Service across statutory and voluntary agencies, and establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with partner agencies to create straightforward referral pathways for clients from Minority Ethnic communities.

We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund and are now starting the process of establishing a new bereavement support service in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Child Bereavement UK as we look to recruit two full-time Bereavement Support Practitioners to join the new service in Birmingham which will provide bereavement support to individuals, couples, families and in group settings.
The post holders will support the Bereavement Support Service Lead in the provision and evaluation of a service that ensures families and professionals can access high quality bereavement support in situations where a baby or child of any age has died, or where children or young people up to the age of 25 are bereaved.
The Bereavement Support Practitioners will:
· Work with the Bereavement Support Service Lead in providing and evaluating the service to support parents bereaved of a baby or child, of any age or children and young people up to the age of 25 bereaved of anybody important to them.
- Support the Bereavement Support Service Lead in developing and establishing Child Bereavement UK’s service as a source of advice and support for families and professionals across the region.
- Manage a caseload and provide a programme of individual and couple sessions and to develop and provide facilitated Groups for Parents bereaved of a baby or child.
- Contribute to the provision of a programme of individual and family support sessions, Groups for Families, Groups for Young People and school liaison.

It includes Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Peer Mentors, Substance Use workers and Social Workers. Each service user will have an allocated Care Coordinator and Responsible Clinician who monitor, and review care and support needs and interventions.
The Peer Mentor role will engage with clients on the ward and within the community - with a primary focus on supporting clients with their transition away from staying on the ward to living in the community. The Peer Mentor service’s aim is to help people with multiple and complex needs to enhance the support available through the FIRST Pathway.

About the role
As a Peer Mentor, you'll support people with mental health concerns who are looking to create sustainable lives in the community by improving engagement with services with a view to sustaining wellbeing and reducing reoffending. Your own experiences will be invaluable as you engage with and motivate individuals to set goals around their recovery. This will include building a relationship of trust with individuals and understanding the importance of empowering them to make their own choices. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to access personal support to develop new skills and improve your self-confidence to do the job.

About you
We’re looking for people who have had mental health issues, are ex-offenders or who have been through the criminal justice system. Lived Experience of homelessness and substance use is useful but not essential. You’ll need to have accessed support services, have an understanding of how these experiences have affected you and be able to tap into these experiences to identify gaps in services and barriers to recovery and how things can be improved. You’ll need to have been stable for at least 18 months and be willing to share details of your successful journey with others to help them. You will be looking to go into a career supporting vulnerable adults and this will be a great opportunity to gain experience. Basic computer skills will be needed, as well as the interest to develop and learn new skills.

The Youth Participation Worker will facilitate and develop a Youth steering group, support aftercare for young people leaving treatment, coordinate and facilitate diversionary activities to support young people and their families.
The post holder will develop and support delivery of all volunteer programmes inclusive of Peer Support and Peer Mentoring Programmes, to include the recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers/peer mentors. They will ensure that general service User participation and empowerment is implemented across the Service.
In addition, the post holder will:
- Actively recruit volunteers, peer mentors and facilitate Youth Steering group meetings.
- Work with the Senior practitioner & Team leader, to develop and implement a service user involvement strategy, including establishing and supporting a service user board.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a certificate in youth and community work e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies) or significant experience of working in a similar role with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as significant knowledge and experience of working with young people, you have knowledge of project planning and experience of working in the substance misuse sector. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.
This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.
