• the NHS&C VR programme
• the Fundraising team

What you will be doing:

• Working with the H&C Finance Business Partner and the Treasury & Finance team to prepare the monthly financial accounts for the NHS VR programme and ensure that the appropriate invoice is raised.

* To work with colleagues engaged in the NHS VR programme to prepare a forecast of expenditure to the end of the current financial year

• To prepare the monthly financial report for the NHS&C VR programme to be presented to the NHS team
• To work with the Assistant Director of Finance to make sure that the VAT treatment for the services included in the NHS VR programme is appropriate and correctly accounted for
• To support the Fundraising team in the preparation of the Budget and Financial Plan for 2024-26
• To prepare the monthly financial report for the charity's fundraising activities
• To work within the Fundraising team reviewing investment in income streams and providing support as necessary with regard to decision making and analysis
• To assist in the preparation of funding applications, providing information and advice
• Key point of contact for the fundraising team for all financial matters
• To work with colleagues across the charity to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the preparation of the financial reports set out above

What you need to know:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA)
• A minimum of three years' experience of having led and managed the preparation of complex financial management accounts.
• A high level of Excel experience including the use of key functions to automate part of the process

Experience of working with non-financial colleagues in the gathering of relevant information, the development of budgets and forecasts and the reporting and interpretation of actual performance.

This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust is seeking to employ a Heritage Assistant for current and future projects led by WMHBT, CoWRBPT, or WBPT. The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is seeking an experienced Financial Controller on a part-time basis to manage the transition of the financial systems and processes. With 2,400 members, the IPS is dedicated to advancing infection prevention and control (IPC), playing a pivotal role in supporting IPC professionals, promoting best practices, and influencing policy to prevent infections.

The organisation is transitioning away from being a association-management / volunteer-led model to a small secretariat, hiring its first CEO and five other positions, including this most senior finance role. The successful candidate will be required to provide legal advice across areas of law including but not limited to information law, intellectual property, contracts, procurement, trusts, charity, litigation, insolvency, subsidy and state aid, public law and judicial review.

In addition to providing substantive advice, the role requires a Senior Solicitor to be able to research and upskill on new areas of law quickly. Further, it is expected that the Senior Solicitor will use his or her legal knowledge to improve the Fund’s internal processes and precedents, and ensure that the Fund complies with statutory and regulatory frameworks at all times.

The bulk of the Senior Solicitor’s workload will consist of autonomous matters and legal queries. These will need to be answered in a timely manner. Further, the Senior Solicitor will also work on larger scale projects where the opportunity arises.

The Senior Solicitor will be working in a team of 6 within the AID team and 14 within the wider legal team.  The role does not include any line management responsibilities.

The role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support the Executive Director and senior leadership team to become more effective and strategic in their work. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They have experience dealing with administrative processes and office administration, especially in a non-profit, remote organisation. They will have skills to give, receive and work with feedback constructively. They must be meticulous with exceptionally strong follow-up and follow-through skills and have the ability to work under high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. They should have excellent interpersonal understanding, relationship building, and interpersonal skills to build strong alliances with diverse constituencies with experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe, in a virtual environment.

About You:

You're a vibrant, motivating leader with board-level experience in the charity or non-profit sector.

You have a strong track record of collaborating and engaging with boards, able to confidently lead evidence-based grant-making that includes academic research.

You'll excel at establishing sturdy charity governance frameworks for operational efficiency and excellence.

Your talent for building strong relationships and partnerships, along with your ability to nurture and empower senior talent, will be invaluable assets.

Additionally, you'll bring a high level of emotional intelligence, backed by a thorough and nuanced understanding of the complexities of women's justice rights within the criminal justice system.

Location: Sutton Coldfield, Hybrid with two days a week in the office

In this role you will provide strategic direction, leadership and operational management of their  Finance and IT teams, playing a critical role in driving the organisation forward. You will oversee the planning, execution and monitoring of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and meet the desired outcomes to make sure the organisation is future proofed in its offer to their clients.

They are looking for candidates that have good experience managing a finance function in a charitable setting and good knowledge of emerging IT and data systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in the private sector and have made the transition to the charity sector or at least have a good awareness of the internal working of charitable organisations.
