Database Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to support a super friendly, motivated and supportive Finance and Database Team.

The role is conveniently located near Liverpool Street and hybrid working is available.

You will report to the Director of Finance, line manage one Senior Database Officer and be responsible for managing The Sick Children’s Trust’s database, Donorflex, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data is maintained to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that fundraising income is processed correctly and coded in line with organisational procedures, and that service user data is updated on an accurate and timely basis, ensuring GDPR-compliant records. You will be the first point of contact, alongside the Senior Database Officer, for day-to-day database queries, providing essential support to ensure the database is effectively managed and continues to meet the organisation’s operational requirements.

Duties will include:

• Overseeing the processing of all income transactions into the database on a timely basis
• Line manage, coach and support one Senior Database Officer
• Processing service user information into the database on a timely basis
• Responsible for all Gift Aid management
• Producing scheduled and ad-hoc data selections for mailings as requested
• Analyse and produce reports using database data to support other areas of the Charity in their strategic decision-making
• Responding to queries from staff in all areas of the Charity on database use, income coding and service user data 
• Leading on developing and streamlining the database processes and use of the database across the whole Charity, managing integrations between the Database and Finance system

About you

You have experience of managing a CRM database and working in a finance and database team, ensuring you can hit the ground running. Your skills and knowledge ensure you are confident in carrying out day-to-day and monthly database processes and enable you to provide managers advice of these processes.

You have experience of line managing and mentoring, supporting your direct report’s continued development and success.

You have proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, and good working knowledge of database software are a given.

You have strong organisational skills, an eye for detail to ensure accuracy and strong numerical skills.

Just as importantly, you have strong interpersonal skills to support colleagues and to work as a good team member.

The Role

We’re seeking a dynamic individual who can lead our exciting portfolio of outdoor challenge events and help us take our fundraising to the next level.

The Youth Adventure Trust's outdoor challenge events are a vital source of funding for the charity, and the relationships we build with our participants and corporate partners are more important than ever. This is where you come in.

As our Challenge Events Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our exciting challenge events portfolio.You'll work on bespoke corporate team-building challenges, high-energy industry networking events like the Hike Bike Paddle for the sports and outdoor sector and the Housebuilders Challenge, and our popular open events like the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge and the Somerset Cycle. 

Challenge events not only enable people to raise amazing sums for the charity, but are also a fantastic way to engage supporters with our work, giving them the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the outdoors and achieve things they never thought possible - similar to our work with the young people on our programmes.

The Challenge Events Manager role is a varied position which would be perfect for somebody who has event management experience. You will be responsible for the full event cycle, from the initial planning, participant recruitment and stewardship to on the day event delivery and post event follow ups. You will be somebody who can spot opportunities, take on a project and run with it. You’ll be an excellent communicator, happy to pick up the phone to chat to event participants, deliver pre-event webinars or create engaging participant emails. You’re self-motivated, well organised, able to multi-task, a strong administrator, a fantastic team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy being outdoors.

You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager, who is highly experienced in delivering our challenge events, but needs time to develop new corporate partnerships which is why we have created this new role. You'll also line-manage our Events Fundraising Officer who plays a key support role on the events.

About You

You’re a people-person, self-motivated and highly organised. You are as comfortable managing a budget and a CRM database as you are standing on a mountain side in your waterproofs! You’ll have:

• Event Expertise: A proven track record in delivering successful fundraising or challenge events.

• Agility: The ability to think on your feet and adapt plans dynamically when situations change on the ground.

• Leadership Skills: Experience managing staff or volunteers and the ability to motivate a team.

One YMCA Youth Clubs provide safe, inclusive spaces where young people can socialise, build confidence, and develop skills for life. Reporting to the Senior Youth Development Worker, you will support the planning and delivery of a range of youth work activities. Make a difference to young people in rural Fenland

Cambridgeshire ACRE is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our brand‑new Fenland Youth Connect project. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a new service designed to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and strengthen support networks for young people aged 16–21 living in some of the county’s most rural communities.

About the role

As our Youth Support Worker, you will:

• Co‑design and deliver three youth hubs across Fenland, ensuring they are inclusive, youth‑led and welcoming spaces.

• Build strong relationships with volunteers, local partners and health agencies to provide holistic support.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to real‑time monitoring, feeding into quarterly impact reporting.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring:

• Level 2 qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting 16–21 year olds, particularly around mental wellbeing.
• Understanding of rural isolation, local barriers, and the context of young people’s lives in Fenland.
• Strong facilitation and active‑listening skills.
• Experience delivering youth‑focused activities, creative sessions or workshops.
• Confidence working independently, managing your own schedule, and travelling across rural areas.
• A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and creating safe spaces.

You will need to be comfortable working evenings and weekends and be able to travel independently by car across Fenland. It is likely the successful candidate will live in Fenland or nearby.

The Adoption Quality and Development Lead plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality adoption and adoption support services. The post holder will lead on quality assurance activities, policy development, complaints investigations, and specific projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to continuous improvement. They will be one of PACT’s agency decision makers. They will also manage projects such as the birth relatives project and support digital and training initiatives. We are looking for a Children's Spiritual Formation Lead. In this role, you will develop and create a spiritual formation pathway for children, that fosters spiritual growth through contemplative Christian practices, with a specific focus on pioneering and developing retreat day experiences for schools as part of the pathway. This is a national role that will enable churches to support their ministry to children in schools through contemplative Christian practices. You will also, where needed, play a hands-on role in supporting churches and schools in our work.

In this role, you will:

• Write and develop a contemplative spiritual formation pathway to strengthen

  lifelong spiritual growth for school children from Early Years to Secondary.

• Develop and project manage a national strategy for the pathway that can be

  contextualised, to encourage and equip churches to provide spaces where

  school children grow spiritually through contemplative Christian practices.

• Where helpful pilot the pathway within Oxfordshire.

• Develop, hone, pilot, and test a scalable, one-day contemplative retreat model

  for schools using Space Makers and prayer-space resources.

• Embed our one day contemplative retreats for schools as an integral component into the creation of the contemplative spiritual formation pathway.

• Expand delivery of retreats nationally with support from the CEO, by designing

  and delivering training for churches, leaders, lay volunteers, & students.

• Embed a network of volunteer adult & student Contemplative Practice Champions to sustain & refine delivery of retreats and the contemplative spiritual formation pathway.

• Where needed, support on-the-ground delivery of retreats and prayer and reflection spaces in schools.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience supporting children’s spiritual growth within a Christian-faith context.

• Proven ability to turn ambitious regional or national visions into reality.

• Skilled at building, organising, and energising dynamic volunteer teams.

• Deep passion for nurturing children’s long-term spiritual development,

  especially through the contemplative Christian tradition.

• Ready to roll up your sleeves and tackle a broad range of responsibilities with

  enthusiasm and practical expertise.

• Self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively

Role Details

• Position: Children's Spiritual Formation Lead

• Location: Remote. Travel required for in person team days 3 - 6 times a year.

  Some travel across Oxfordshire and nationally.

• Hours of work: Part time, 4 days (FT considered for the right candidate)

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (pro rata if 4 days) depending on experience.

• Start Date: As soon as possible. (flexible for the right candidate)

About the Role

The Barnardo's Co-op Partnership is an exciting, innovative project aiming to support over 1 million young people to build positive futures.
Our Sedgemoor for our Future service is co-designed by young people and built around a social kitchen concept. We create welcoming spaces where young people can:

• Learn to cook healthy, nutritious meals
• Share food and eat together
• Have fun through games and activities
• Explore topics that matter to them
• Build confidence, teamwork, and life skills

Session Details

• Tuesdays – Highbridge, 4:30pm–6:00pm
• Wednesdays – Bridgwater, 4:30pm–6:00pm

Applicants must be available to facilitate these two sessions, you will need to be able to design and deliver these workshops in different places and spaces to help young people develop confidence, teamwork, and skills. You will also need to attend events, find creative ways to engage young people across Sedgemoor, and evaluate sessions by recording outcomes.

Contract Hours

Hours will be between 18.5 – 25 per week (flexible, including evenings).

• Experience engaging with young people aged 10–25
• Creativity and confidence in designing inclusive group sessions and workshops
• Ability to provide emotional and practical support in line with safeguarding policies

PACT is one of the UK’s leading independent adoption charities, placing children with secure and loving families and supporting them with specialist therapeutic support.

Our external Adoption Panel Members play a vital role at PACT by carefully considering applications from those wishing to become adoptive parents. We are currently seeking an independent Adoption Panel Chair, to lead our online panel in making fair, informed recommendation outcomes to a high quality standard.

You will bring an understanding of the adoption process, gained from professional or personal experience, and will be competently skilled in chairing complex meetings. You’ll be capable of facilitating active participation and ensure the panel operates within a clear regulatory and policy framework.

We are seeking a Senior Youth Development Worker to support the development and delivery of One YMCA’s Universal Youth Work provision in Bedford.

The Role

Reporting to the Youth Work Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality youth work for young people aged 9–18. You will lead engaging sessions, support and supervise sessional youth workers, and contribute to the growth and development of One YMCA’s youth work offer in line with the YMCA Youth Work Strategy.

This is a hands-on role combining direct youth work, team support, and partnership engagement. You will help ensure young people feel safe, included, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate inclusive youth work sessions for young people aged 9–18
• Lead sessions and act as a positive role model for young people
• Support and supervise sessional youth workers during delivery
• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners, schools and external agencies
• Maintain accurate records to monitor attendance, engagement and outcomes
• Contribute to the development and expansion of One YMCA’s youth work offer, including partnership and funding opportunities
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion in all areas of work

About You

You are passionate about youth work and committed to making a positive difference in young people’s lives. You are confident leading sessions, supporting others, and working collaboratively as part of a team.

You will have:

• Experience delivering youth work (paid or voluntary)
• Confidence leading group sessions and supporting small teams
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• An understanding of inclusive and safeguarding-led practice
• A Level 3 Youth Work qualification, or willingness to work towards one (essential)

Hours and Contract

• Part-time role
• 18 hours per week, salaried on a monthly basis
• Working pattern is flexible but will include evenings and weekends, with most delivery taking place after school
