We are looking for warm, flexible and compassionate Relief Support Workers to join our Supported Living service in the centre of Rugeley, Staffordshire. Our service provides varying levels of care to 14 individuals with a range of support needs which can include learning disabilities. Some of the individuals require personal care, help taking medication and with other day to day tasks. Others are more independent and enjoy going out into the community alone.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about enabling and encouraging our service users to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life, and to develop their abilities to the fullest. Shifts will often be worked in teams of 3 to 4 staff members ensuring quality person-centred support to all of our service users.

Relief Support Worker Duties:

- Flexible working hours to include daytimes, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins

- Assisting with day-to-day living duties such as budgeting, shopping and supporting with medication and any personal care that may be required

- You will collaborate with service users, families, carers, and involved professionals to provide a coordinated and consistent service that maximises outcomes for service users

We are looking to recruit an experienced Manager to lead this local parent driven Charity.

You will be responsible for leading the team of Family support officers and volunteers with the varied activities that the Charity provides, particularly regarding our supporting education program and supporting families with guidance on all aspects of their child’s wellbeing.

The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. In order to carry out its charitable work, the NSPCC relies on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 85% of its annual income. Helpline Advisors are responsible for providing high-quality, empowering, emotional and practical support, assistance and information to women and those supporting them, who contact the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge. Helpline Advisors deliver one to one support to women and those supporting them to ensure that they are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming service, enabling women to understand their rights, make decisions and increase their options. The job involves working across multiple platforms including phone and live chat, to inform survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff.

As a Triage & Early Interventions Officer you will: -

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally. • Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.

About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff.

As a Caseworker you will be: -

• Ensuring each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Undertaking risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, complying with data protection and all other legislation connected to your work and sharing protocols where necessary. Contribute to monitoring information as required by Victim Support.
• Providing information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice this could include criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to service users.
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and promote effective communication between staff and other stakeholders.

You will need:

• An understanding of the impact of crime on victims.
• Experience of managing a caseload including complex case management.
• The ability to balance competing needs and priorities.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
