As a Medical Writer you'll be providing broad medical writing expertise for the production of clinical study reports, investigator brochures and other clinical/scientific reports for CDD's early phase oncology trials. As well as acting as lead author on your assigned projects and performing quality control review of documents produced by other Medical Writers, you will be fully embedded within a multidisciplinary, cross functional project team along with other CDD departments. Collaboration is essential, as well as the ability to work strategically within an evolving environment.

Unfortunately, this role is not suitable for anyone who only has experience in medical writing for pharmacovigilance or medical devices or anyone who only has medical writing experience within science comms. You must come with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical trial documents e.g. investigator brochures, clinical study reports and posting of clinical trial summary results. This is a great opportunity for a current Regulatory Medical Writer looking to move into a more purpose driven environment or to gain valuable experience withing phase 1 oncology trials. Or you could be a Medical Writing Associate ready to take that next step.

What will I be doing?

• Writing, editing, reviewing and quality control of documents for the timely production of clinical study reports and investigator brochures.

• Managing the preparation of clinical study reports by building consensus with the project teams on report requirements, responsibilities for delivery of data and production timelines, and participating in the preparation and review of summary clinical trial results and other disclosures as required.

• Managing the scheduling, preparation and updating of investigator brochure packages in use in CDD-sponsored trials, ensuring review at least annually in line with current regulations.

• Liaising with the project team to complete project-specific tasks including review of protocols, Trial Master Files, data (including expert reports), and analytical plans.

What are you looking for?

• Proven experience in medical / medical sciences writing. This should include significant experience in regulatory medical writing or a mix of experience in regulatory medical writing plus substantial relevant experience in a related role in clinical trials, pharmacovigilance or medical writing.

• Science graduate or equivalent experience of scientific writing.

• Good knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical trial documents e.g. investigator brochures, clinical study reports and posting of clinical trial summary results.

• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.

• Confident communication skills and able to foster strong working relationships both internally and externally.

• Project Management skills

• Experience within early phase oncology trials is desirable but not essential (*Please do still apply even if you don't have this*)

• Experience within AI medical writing tools is beneficial

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Lead IT infrastructure engineer to take ownership of our IT infrastructure and play a pivotal role in our migration from on-premises to Microsoft Azure.

This is a deeply hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll lead the technical design, build, deployment and maintenance of our infrastructure services across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. You’ll be responsible for modernising and optimising our infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, resilient and aligned with best practice.

You’ll take the lead in executing our move to a hybrid Azure environment. Designing, building and deploying solutions yourself while guiding and mentoring engineers across the team. Alongside transformation work, you’ll also own day-to-day infrastructure operations, troubleshooting and driving continuous improvement.

About you

At Dementia UK, we are investing in our people, systems and financial governance to better meet the changing needs of those we serve. As Finance Manager, you’ll play a central role in ensuring the integrity of our financial processes and systems, leading on fund and tax management, including relevant reporting and compliance.

You’ll oversee the administration and analysis of restricted and designated funds, ensuring accurate accounting and adherence to donor agreements and pump prime arrangements. This is a crucial role in managing our income recognition processes, refining internal financial controls and driving continuous improvement of our accounting systems, helping to shape scalable systems that support long-term growth.

Working closely with the Head of Financial Accounts, you’ll liaise with teams across the charity to ensure robust VAT and tax compliance, support the preparation of year-end financial reporting and contribute to producing papers for the Finance Risk and Audit committee.

To succeed, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with strong experience in a charity finance environment. A strong working knowledge of charity accounting and SORP reporting requirements is essential, along with experience in donor/restricted funds management and knowledge of VAT and tax. You should have experience of supervising or managing a small team. You should also be able to demonstrate an ability to manage time effectively, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience of different accounting software preferably with Sun Systems and Proactis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Challenge Events Team at Dementia UK, where you will help coordinate a portfolio of third-party challenge event activities, driving both participation and income for the organisation. You’ll manage our Great North Run, Cardiff Half Marathon, Paris Marathon and London Landmark Half Marathon, of who we are a Big Ben partner.

As a Challenge Events Executive, you will leverage your knowledge and utilise data-driven insights to identify new opportunities and shape budget plans. You will be responsible for driving and delivering marketing plans with a focus on email and digital activity, as well as coordinating the production of marketing collateral to ensure excellent supporter experiences and efficient delivery.

You will also work with the Database and Supporter Care teams as well as Challenge Events Assistants to ensure that supporter data is collected and stored efficiently, so that supporters are thanked appropriately, and post-campaign analysis is comprehensive. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating the production of stewardship collateral including copywriting, compiling design briefs and liaising with internal teams and expert suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. You should possess hands-on experience utilising relationship databases, coupled with an understanding of effective marketing channels, particularly digital. Additionally, expertise in stewardship techniques will be crucial for increasing remittance rates and maximising average gifts. You should also have an understanding of how to use insights, data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations.

Royal Free Charity – Philanthropy Manager
Location: Hybrid working, with two days a week at London office, NW3.

Royal Free Charity, the strategic partner to the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL), is seeking a creative and driven Philanthropy Manager to lead efforts to secure four and five-figure gifts and to ensure donors are stewarded with the best possible experience of the charity to encourage ongoing support.

The Royal Free Charity works to raise funds for enhanced support for patients, vital support for staff, groundbreaking research and innovation, and cutting edge medical equipment. Through the services they provide and the programmes and equipment they fund, the charity aims to make a profound and immediate different to patients’ experience of care at RFL.

Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager and working with other colleagues in the philanthropy and campaigns team, the role will be responsible for delivering the best possible experience to some of the charity’s most committed donors through a mixture of bespoke events, personalised communications and recognition opportunities across the charity’s hospital sites. This will include leading and delivering a mid-level giving retention and recruitment strategy for donors giving between £1,000 and £50,000 and looking to identify potential opportunities for uplift in giving.

The Philanthropy Manager will play an important role building relationships and increasing income in what will be a pivotal year for the charity as they prepare for a multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. The role:

This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary marketing and communications role. The Campaign Manager will lead the development and delivery of multi-media campaigns designed to promote the organisation’s prevention and survivorship initiatives. The postholder will collaborate across teams, coordinate marketing activities, strengthen media and digital presence, build relationships with influencers and supporters, and oversee the production of the organisation’s flagship supporter magazine.

The skills:
