Summary of the role:
The Communications Officer plays a key role in executing the organisation’s communication strategy. This role involves creating and managing content for various platforms, supporting media relations, and contributing to the overall communication campaigns and public relations efforts. The Communications Officer will work closely with other team members and the marketing team to ensure that all communication activities are aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals and effectively engage target audiences.
About the Role:
- Create engaging content for the organisation’s communication platforms ensuring that all content aligns with the organisation’s messaging and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to engage followers and improve reach.
- Manage the collation, storage and dissemination of the organisation’s digital archives in line with established guidelines and operational requirements.
- Prepare stakeholder media summaries and reports on the organisation’s media coverage and its key issues.
- Maintain a database of media contacts that can be used to strengthen stakeholder management.
- Report on the performance of communication activities using data and insights to inform future communication strategies and activities.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- An understanding and awareness of the value of social media and their fundraising potential.
- Experience in content creation, social media management, and media relations.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create content for different platforms and audiences.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and graphic design tools.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Prospect Research Manager role. This exciting opportunity is for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our client's team, leading the prospect research function and driving fundraising success. What’s on Offer

In this role, you will support the commercial and teams to generate analysis and translation of Fairtrade impact-data. We are looking for someone who has advanced skills and significant experience in data management and analysis and insights generation. Assignments would suit experienced qualified audit professionals with grant audit / management experience, ideally in a not-for-profit/ international development context
Role overview.
Complete international grant expenditure audits for a diverse range of projects (grant recipients) funded by international donor institutions ranging from emergency aid, to long term development in areas such as agriculture, health or infrastructure or technical research. Assignments are 1-3 weeks in length and based across the European mainland and the developing world. These are offered on an assignment by assignment basis, one to two months in advance.
Contractors can be based outside the UK
Requirements
- Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent – 5+ years post qualified experience
- Grant management and audit and reporting experience with international institutions. Preference given to individuals that have worked on UN or EC grant assurance assignments
- Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity while working with a hugely diverse range of clients and beneficiaries
- A real interest in international development and associated funding structures
- Ideally professional/ fluency in a second language such as Spanish, German, French, Portugese
- Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills in English.

Personal attributes:
- At least 5-10+ years of relevant audit experience
- Ability to work under pressure; Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Sound technical and analytical skills, report writing and presentation skills
Passionate about international travel and development and willing to work in international locations. Individual must be prepared to travel to challenging locations when it is deemed safe to do so. Individuals must also be able to demonstrate effective past working practices when working remotely with a range of clients.
