Job Title: Recovery Worker
Location: Based within Bedfordshire. Unfortunately this service does not have step free access. The building is approximately a 10 minute walk from Bedford Station.
Salary: £26,200
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday 08.00 - 16.00 or 14.00 - 22.00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements, including bank holidays as required on the rota.
About the Role
Join our brand new Mental Health Service step down service which is due to go live April 2026! The service forms part of a wider integrated initiative for urgent and emergency care. You will support our residents who are at risk of admission but can be supported outside of mental health hospital settings, by providing tailored support to them to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals, to live more fulfilled lives and independent living.
We are seeking a dedicated, patient, and compassionate Recovery Worker with a focus on achieving outcomes to deliver flexible, tailored, person centred support to help residents improve their quality of life, overcome challenges, and achieve personal goals. Using your communication skills, you will build trusting professional relationships, support residents to reintegrate into the community, and play a vital role in helping them rebuild their lives through personalised support plans, activities, and partnership working.

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times

About the Role
We're hiring a Night Recovery Worker to join our team in Bedfordshire and help deliver our new mental health step down service, opening in April 2026. This is an 11 bedded, community based mental health crisis and step down service offering short stay, trauma informed support and psychologically informed alternative to hospital admission and facilities, forming part of the wider Urgent and Emergency Care pathway.
The service supports people at risk of admission who can be safely supported in the community, helping them overcome personal barriers, achieve their goals and access a range of opportunities, including education, community involvement and skill development. In this role, you will provide person centred, psychologically informed support, contribute to rehabilitation and reintegration and ensure the safe and effective running of the night service. You will play a vital role in admission avoidance, flow and discharge, supporting residents to rebuild their lives while maintaining quality, consistency, and contractual outcomes within a trauma and psychologically informed environment.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Being the main point of contact for our residents, helping to create and update their support and risk plans; Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times
- Work collaboratively with external teams such as crisis resolution teams, community mental health teams, Inpatient Wards, and other crisis alternatives e.g. Recovery Lounges etc. We are looking to build an effective and knowledgeable staff team to deliver this exciting provision
- Supporting with the creation of tailored support plans in collaboration with the wider team and resident.
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing during the night, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
- Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities such as movie nights, cooking evenings, and games nights
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns when needed.

Job Summary
The Senior Partnership Officer will play a pivotal role in building, strengthening and diversifying Bipolar UK’s high‑value relationships, with a particular emphasis on corporate fundraising and identifying strategic, mutually beneficial collaborations that support the charity’s long‑term needs.
Working closely with the Strategic Partnership Manager, you will manage and grow our portfolio of major donors, corporate supporters, and strategic partners. You will provide exceptional stewardship, ensuring partners feel valued, engaged, and inspired to deepen their relationship with us.
A key part of the role will involve proactively identifying and cultivating new corporate prospects, developing compelling propositions, crafting funding proposals, and pitching confidently to decision‑makers at all levels. You will help implement robust cultivation plans and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation across all partnership activity.
You will also work collaboratively across the wider Fundraising Team - including with the Fundraising Officer - supporting campaigns, events, and individual giving where needed.
This is a home‑based position with travel required for meetings and events across the UK. Some evening or weekend work may be required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growing Corporate and Strategic Partnerships
- Drive the growth of corporate fundraising through proactive identification, research and cultivation of new corporate prospects.
- Develop innovative, mutually beneficial partnership opportunities, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Charity of the Year, sponsorships, staff fundraising, corporate challenge events, payroll giving and cause‑related marketing.
- Create compelling propositions tailored to corporate audiences.
- Lead and support pitches to secure long‑term, strategic and income‑generating partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Services, Communications) to co‑design new partnership concepts, projects or services that align with charity priorities.
- Support the development of partnership agreements and ensure expectations, deliverables and benefits are clearly defined.
- Work to a mutually agreed financial target and use the CRM to track and record relevant data to grow our donor pipeline.
2. Strengthening High‑Value Donor & Partner Stewardship
- Deliver excellent relationship management to major donors, corporate partners and strategic allies.
- Provide regular updates on impact and organisational achievements to deepen engagement.
- Organise meetings, briefings, events and engagement opportunities to showcase our work.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all interactions on Salesforce.
- Create tailored materials, proposals and events to support ongoing partnership activity.
- Represent Bipolar UK through presentations at corporate and partner events.
- Track performance and impact of partnerships, supporting continuous improvement.
3. Supporting Wider Fundraising
- Work collaboratively with the Fundraising Officer, SPM and wider team to maximise fundraising opportunities across all income streams.
- Provide hands‑on support for individual giving campaigns, events and community fundraising when needed.
- Contribute to team planning, cross‑team projects, and organisational initiatives.

- Strong understanding of the corporate sector, CSR and corporate fundraising mechanisms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering pitches and proposals.
- Excellent project and time‑management skills.
- Understanding of ethical fundraising and GDPR compliance.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and quick to adopt new technologies.
Desirable:
- Experience within a mental health or health‑related charity.

About Working Well Trust
Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting a Community Outreach & Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of the Connect to Work programme across Kingston and Sutton. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), working Monday to Friday, with core hours of 9.00am–4.30pm. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days on site per week. Evening work may be required on occasion.
You will report to the Connect to Work Operations Manager and work closely with internal teams and local stakeholders to ensure the service is well integrated and reaches residents who will benefit most.
What you’ll be doing
If you were working with us, your days would be varied, outward-facing and rooted in partnership working. You would play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships across Kingston and Sutton, working with local organisations to ensure eligible residents are identified, engaged and referred into the Connect to Work programme.
You would proactively engage with a wide range of partners, including Local Authority teams, Jobcentre Plus, health services, VCSE organisations and community groups. This would involve attending forums and partnership meetings, delivering tailored information sessions and presentations, and promoting the Connect to Work service so that referral pathways are clear, effective and aligned with contractual targets.
A central part of the role is ensuring Connect to Work is well integrated with existing local provision. You would work alongside partner teams, including co-locating where appropriate, to support warm handovers into the service and improve participant journeys. You would also identify gaps in local provision and work with internal colleagues to develop solutions that improve access and outcomes for residents.
You would manage and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, supported by the Operations Manager and Senior Integration and Partnership Manager. This includes maintaining regular
communication with partners, contributing to partnership action plans, and providing updates on progress, impact and service developments. You would work collaboratively with internal teams to maximise opportunities for skills development, vacancies and sustainable employment outcomes.
Alongside outreach activity, you would ensure all work is delivered in line with contract requirements, safeguarding protocols and data protection standards. You would maintain accurate records of partnership engagement and referrals, provide timely updates and reports to support service monitoring, and contribute to internal meetings, service reviews and audits. The role also includes attending supervision, appraisal, training and development activities, and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation by embedding its values in all interactions.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the delivery, resilience and continuous improvement of the organisation’s technology estate including workplace technology, infrastructure, networks, IT service management and will involve working with third-party suppliers.
Working closely with the IT Manager, you’ll provide day-to-day operational oversight while also leading technology projects and improvement programmes that modernise systems, strengthen resilience and embed best practice. You’ll act as a trusted point of contact for technology change across the organisation — listening to colleagues, understanding their needs and translating them into practical, effective solutions.
You will also support with the procurement and management of IT goods and services, ensuring strong supplier performance, value for money and responsible use of resources. Providing a responsive, customer-focused IT service is central to this role. You’ll ensure high-quality advice, effective support and timely resolution of issues for colleagues across the organisation.
The role requires a strong background and understanding of IT, as well as of our organisations key priorities, challenges, creativity, and pragmatism. In this role as a Money & Me Navigator, you will proactively identify people with mental health issues whose lives are being impacted due to financial concerns, at places like GP surgeries and community-based organisations.
Money & Me Navigators are well positioned to support those who are less likely to come forward for support or reluctant to access mental health care due to stigma or discrimination.
You will provide one to one and/or group support, using trauma informed approaches, to empower people with mental health issues whose lives are being impacted due to financial concerns. By doing this, you will support people to become more resilient and better able to deal with problems they may have in the future.
Actively seek out potential referrals and promote the service within primary care settings and the community. You will build relationships with other agencies that support people with financial concerns, for example welfare rights services, housing organisations, faith-based organisations.
In this role you will also support our Welfare Rights & Debt Advice Team with administration and support the clients to access higher levels of advice including completion of forms.

We know that poor mental health can make earning and managing money harder, and that worrying about money can make our mental health worse.
Money & Me aims to equip people with the understanding, self-compassion and practical tools to navigate and get around those barriers to financial wellbeing. Co-designed by people who have lived experience of money and mental health problems, alongside mental health and financial professionals, we work with individuals and in group settings.
Money & Me is a psychoeducation course that supports people experiencing mental health problems to improve their financial wellbeing. Over 8 sessions, people work with a trained mental health navigator to explore their relationship with money, set personal goals, and build a toolkit of practical strategies they can use to manage their money and mental health.
