We currently have an exciting opportunity for a MK Services Manager to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis.
Why is this role so critical to us?
The MK Services Manager will play a pivotal role in recruiting and managing volunteers in Milton Keynes for our MK Home Visiting services. These include reading, shopping and befriending services to ensure that local people with sight loss are not socially isolated and alone. The role will also involve supporting our existing social clubs, which provide a range of activities and services to people with vision impairment.

Your Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Expanding and developing the existing service: We already have a team of volunteers supporting clients in Milton Keynes, delivered from our office in Aylesbury, but believe there is the opportunity to grow and develop the service further.
- Recruitment and Management of Volunteers: Identifying and recruiting volunteers to provide emotional and practical support to people with sight loss in Milton Keynes.
- Administration Support: Providing administrative support to our social clubs, including organising activities and coordinating volunteer led activities.
- Relationship Building: Building strong relationships with partners to secure support, funding, and resources for our services.

Required Experience
- Experience working or volunteering in the voluntary/community sector – ideally with an understanding of the current challenges in the sector.
- Experience in recruiting, coordinating, or supporting volunteers or growing a team, service or project through community engagement.
- Demonstrable success in building partnerships, networking or stakeholder engagement.
- Comfortable managing projects or local services with limited supervision, ideally in a community-based setting.
- Prior experience working with or supporting people with sensory loss would be beneficial, but not essential.

About the role
We are looking for two experienced Community Engagement Officers to support NatureCityNorwich – a three-year multi-partner project supported through Nature Towns and Cities, a programme funded by National Lottery players to help urban areas protect and enhance their natural heritage.
The project will co-create a community-led urban nature recovery action plan, placing nature and people at the heart of Norwich’s future. It will map and address the city’s ‘nature gaps’, improve access to green and blue spaces, and empower communities to shape a more resilient, biodiverse and inclusive city.
The role will see the successful applicants carrying out an extensive listening and engagement programme across Norwich to support an ambitious community-led nature recovery action plan for the city. The River Great Ouse Valley Wetland Arc Project
The Parks Trust has been awarded £213,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to create a landscape-scale masterplan for the River Great Ouse Valley Wetland Arc. This wonderful landscape spans 355 hectares (approximately 500 football pitches) along the River Great Ouse in the north of Milton Keynes. The Wetland Arc project will help The Parks Trust to plan for a future of nature recovery along the river valley and encourage community participation in and activation of the landscape.
The Wetland Arc project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery Players, we have been able to secure funding for a Project Officer to deliver project events and activities.

CSE is seeking to appoint a confident and adaptable Project Manager (Maternity Cover) with the experience and initiative to lead and deliver a varied portfolio of community-based energy and climate projects.
This role will likely initially focus on coordinating our work on the Energy Learning Network and supporting the networking of local community organisations that provide vital energy advice.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who is confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and has proven experience managing multi-partner or community-based projects. Pay and conditions
- The role is full-time 1-year fixed contract (37.5 hours per week).

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Consistently and effectively manage projects across a range of initiatives within the LACE team with responsibility for planning, promotion, budgeting, ongoing financial management, funder liaison, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
- Manage finance and resources for project work such as events, training, analysis, grant schemes, stakeholder engagement, community climate action, youth work and work supporting local authorities.
- Line management of up to 1-2 junior members of the LACE team.
- Contribute to team wellbeing by supporting co-workers in their tasks and proactively addressing issues relating to your projects or direct reports. Communicate project outputs effectively to team members, CSE staff and eternal stakeholders.
- Oversee promotion and marketing of projects and outputs to ensure effective engagement with the target audience (in conjunction with Communications team).
- Regularly represent CSE at external events (e.g. webinars, meetings, conferences), presenting to a Centre for Sustainable Energy 2024 high standard and sharing outputs and insights from projects you manage and work on.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with funders and stakeholders, potentially including existing funders and strategic partners, community groups, local authorities, voluntary sector associations, housing associations, youth groups.
- Provide expertise and experience necessary to deliver projects well and contribute to the upskilling of CSE staff and the capacity building of external stakeholders. In this role that could include models and approaches for viable community led sustainability initiatives, community renewables, sustainability initiatives, community engagement, community resilience, or energy efficiency.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we set up our new RNID Near You service in Somerset working alongside our current RNID Near You in care homes service, Somerst Foundation Trusts Audiology team, and RNID’s Health Programme to develop and deliver a new self-referral pathway and wraparound service in the Somerset Foundation Trust area. As a Co-ordinator, you will focus on developing and delivering our volunteer lead community service across the Somerset area through sessions in community settings. The service will offer:

You will be responsible for setting up and co-ordinating sessions across the region and be able to recruit, train and manage a team of up to 30 volunteers to deliver the service across Somerset. You will work with NHS Somerset Foundation Trust audiology team and our local RNID Near You Somerset Care Home Co-ordinator to induct and train our volunteers to high standards. You will promote this service within the NHS Somerset Foundation Trust area to ensure maximum engagement and uptake. You will also be responsible ensuring all paperwork is processed correctly and reports to stakeholders are timely completed.

You have experience managing events, your own workload and are able to work evenings/weekends if required. Horatio’s Garden is a nationwide charity creating and nurturing beautifully designed gardens in NHS spinal injury centres. We are seeking two creative, dynamic people with warm and welcoming personalities for the roles of Patient Support Coordinator, one for each of the following locations:
- Horatio's Garden Midlands, The Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries
- Horatio’s Garden Scotland, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
You will be responsible for organising and running a range of social and creative activities for people with spinal injuries and their families and friends to enjoy during the week and at weekends, creating an uplifting, friendly atmosphere in Horatio’s Garden and garden room.
Currently the programme includes crafts, quizzes, glass fusing workshops, felting, printing, talks, painting, ceramic workshops, seasonal celebrations with lunches, baking, live music performances and social afternoons.
You will need to be a highly organised person who is confident working independently in the garden and via Teams with the Events Programme Manager, Evie Redwood. The role is part-time, 10.5 hours a week, consisting of one weekend afternoon (approx. 4 hours), a weekday afternoon workshop (approx. 3.5 hours) and 3 hours of admin time a week. You will need to be flexible with your availability, working when patients are available – this can vary.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven, proactive individual who is efficient, well-organised and has an outgoing personality. You will need to be adaptable and happy working with a wide range of stakeholders including people with spinal injuries and their families, NHS staff, volunteers and many different teams within the charity.
Key responsibilities for the role of Patient Support Coordinator include:
· Creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging people with spinal injuries and their families to engage in the Events Programme that is organised in the garden.
· Asking patients what activities they would like to do.
· Working virtually with the Events Programme team to plan activities that reflect patients’ requests.
· Going into the wards to help patients to come out to the garden and garden room in hospital beds or wheelchairs. You will have training for this.
· Hosting creative workshops in the garden, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.
· Running arts and craft sessions yourself, organising social activities and writing quizzes so a creative flair is essential.
· Booking high-quality speakers, entertainers and freelance creative people to run sessions.
· Working alongside session facilitators to support them.
· Coordinating catering arrangements and serving food and drinks.
· Making posters and updating blackboards to promote activities, as well as advertising the sessions via word of mouth.
· Building relationships with NHS teams in the spinal unit.
· Handling the administrative side of the role, including risk assessments, ordering materials and budget-monitoring.
· Collecting feedback from patients, their visitors and NHS staff during and after the sessions.

Your role will provide comprehensive administrative support, with shared responsibility for designing and developing systems and processes, data input and extraction, and finance administration.

We are looking for someone who has proven office administration and customer service experience, including being proficient in the use Microsoft Office. You have a passion for social justice and thrive in a fast paced and busy office environment, with a flexible and tenacious approach and will enjoy learning new skills. Also, you have strong data processing skills with the ability to input, extract and analyse data and to review processes, introducing new ways of working where needed.

Shelter Sheffield provide housing advice and support to people across the city. Our focus is on emergency homelessness, intensive support for children and families, people experiencing domestic abuse and people with multiple disadvantages. We take a holistic approach to help people deal with interrelated issues that can impact their ability to keep a home and help over 5,000 people a year, while also working to change the underlying systems that cause the housing emergency.

About this exciting opportunity
Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.
You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.
What we are looking for
• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team
• Experience of using support plans, to enable people to successfully access support services
• Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• A knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area
• First-class interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Successful candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check, on the basis that the post involves contact with vulnerable participants and colleagues.

About the opportunity
We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes.
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Bristol. The role will also oversee our partner schools in Dorset remotely, with infrequent travel to Dorset.
- The Bristol Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.
- The Bristol Programme Coordinator supports the recruitment of volunteer tutors, manages the tutor sign up process, develops relationships with schools including their Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers, collects data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, and works with other internal teams on business development opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; regularly attending weekly tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery. Provide regular check-ins with tutors to ensure ample support and guidance is given to provide targeted tuition to pupils.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant school staff, offering regular check-ins with key school stakeholders, and contribute to impact reporting to schools. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
- Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
- Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.

The nature of this role will also require you to demonstrate adaptability, resilience and the ability to cope with some uncertainty.
This position would suit you if you’re looking to develop your experience in the education or charity sectors. Existing experience of working with young people and/or project management in a charity or education setting would be an asset.
