What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future.

We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.

This post will provide high-quality support to the overall operations of the organisation and the team, to ensure the smooth running of the main sites and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations.

The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders.

General Requirements

•  To support the delivery of Youth Action Alliance
• To ensure a friendly, professional and informative service to all visitors and stakeholders
• To maintain a diary and manage all incoming calls and all correspondence
• To maintain a good working relationship across all YAA teams, external stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly
• To attend and support meetings including minuting (including evening, weekend and events as/when required)
• To collate and maintain all documentation relating to the business
• To act as a point of contact for all Board of Trustees, staff, participants and stakeholders
• To manage office maintenance, including ordering equipment, stationery and products needed for the day-to-day running of YAA
• To be the appointed Fire Marshall and First Aid Officer on site
• To oversee the Health and Safety of YAA and ensure all aspects are attended to in line with the YAA Health and Safety Policy.
• To create and maintain the security of all sensitive data in accordance with YAA Data Protection Policy, including the filing system and database of the shared drive and in-house hard copies
• To coordinate inductions for new starters, ensure DBS checks and training records are kept up to date.
• To maintain risk assessment and action logs for the organisation
• To ensure the main office is kept clean, tidy and presentable
• To manage memberships, contracts/SLAs, facilitators and referrals of YAA
• To support the CEO and team manager directly with administrative duties
• To add participants, staff and registers of all projects to in-house software and produce reports as/when required
• To process organisational income and expenditure and maintain financial records, including preparing accounts against budgets for the Board of Trustees
• To collate reports and data that support evidence building to demonstrate the wider organisational impact

Person Specification

Essential

• Relevant qualification (college-level or equivalent)

About The Role
Are you a highly effective communicator with proven success in raising five and six figure gifts from major donors? Would you like the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders to maximise fundraising opportunities and help deliver a meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia? 
We are recruiting for a Senior Philanthropy Manager to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will lead on the management and delivery of our highly successful Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign. You will work closely with an exceptional board of senior volunteers from the insurance industry to deliver the campaign strategy. You will lead on securing income from personal philanthropy and Trusts from within the industry, working closely with Board members on peer-to-peer advocacy.

In addition, the role has oversight and input to all IUAD campaign activities - including communications, events and corporate partnerships. You will lead on relationships with key IUAD board members to maximise fundraising opportunities and maintain their motivation and engagement in the campaign. This role will give you the chance to deliver meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia.

This is a home-based role with occasional travel to London to attend meetings with colleagues or stakeholders, with travel costs paid for by the Society. Although this is a 12-month fixed term contract, we regularly recruit for roles in this area internally so there may be the opportunity to secure a permanent role during the contract duration.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have proven success in raising five and six figure gifts from major donors or equivalent. You’ll have experience of managing fundraising, engagement and stewardship strategies combined with the ability to identify and maximise funding opportunities to meet and exceed targets. You’ll also have good organisation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse financial information and present proposals in an accessible format.

Crucially for this role you’ll be an effective and engaging communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate and act diplomatically with senior stakeholders and high-level donors. You’ll have a high level of emotional intelligence and good interpersonal skills, enabling you to network and build credible, positive relationships and build rapport quickly and with a warmth that makes supporters feel valued and connected with a cause over a long period of time.

What you’ll focus on:

- Working with IUAD board members to deliver IUAD campaign strategy, meeting annual fundraising targets for the campaign.
- In conjunction with board members, leading the growth and development of the philanthropic income stream of the IUAD campaign, extending and uplifting current donors and broadening networks to secure new donors to deliver budgeted income.
- Overseeing progress of all additional campaign activities including corporate partnerships, events and communications, working closely with the Development Board Lead to ensure campaign objectives and fundraising targets are met.
- Managing the IUAD Board, in consultation with the Development Board Lead, to lead on recruitment, engagement, and relationship management, to ensure strong working relationships with all board members.
- Delivering first class account management of major donors and board members, creating engagement and cultivation strategies.
- Managing the Fundraising Development Manager, supporting them to meet their objectives and encouraging their development.

JOB PURPOSE
This role is based in the Finance Team and works closely with the Resource Mobilisation and Programme teams. The role contributes to the effectiveness and impact of our work by supporting the sound financial, grant management, and administrative practices across Start Network. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end grant management cycle for a number of large and / or complex grants from institutional and corporate funders. The postholder will ensure that the financial and administrative systems and procedures for the programmes and budgets are of high quality and compliant with donor and legal requirements.

TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester are currently recruiting a trauma-informed, person-centred Counsellor to deliver essential and life-saving counselling for survivors of rape, sexual assault and sexual abuse. The Counsellor will be engaged in a sessional contract with TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester, with a minimum commitment of 4 sessions a week for 1 year. Sessions can be based at our office space in Trafford or virtually from your own confidential space.

Session payments vary from £30-£40 dependant on session type and time.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Contract: We are currently recruiting for two vacancies:

• x1 permanent
• x1 fixed term contract until October 2026, parental leave cover

Location: Based in Crisis Skylight London, 50-52 Commercial Street, E1 6LT for majority of the year apart from December and January when you will be based in Crisis Centres which will be based all over London.

About the role

Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

Crisis at Christmas is our unique event, with centres across Britain offering people experiencing homeless food, clothing, advice and support with health, housing, employment and benefits, as well as a safe space to stay at an extremely challenging time of year.

Our Christmas Case Management Team work across the Crisis at Christmas services in London. We provide support to guests of Christmas experiencing homelessness and who lack support from other services. We continue this support into the year after Christmas and we take further referrals throughout the year from partner agencies.

We prioritise building meaningful relationships and work with people to identify what works for them. Our approach is developed from trauma informed, strengths-based and intensive case management approaches and we deliver this through an outreach-based service, working across the London boroughs.

About you

We are looking for an experienced, skilled and driven person to join the Case Management Team as a Case Manager. In this key role, you will support a caseload of people experiencing homelessness. You will ensure the accuracy of records and data, compile reports which evidence our impact, oversee financial systems and support the mapping of services across London reporting. The role also provides opportunity to supervise volunteers, collect feedback from members, and support the team manager with service development.

You will receive support with training, regular supervision, and professional development. Crisis is an innovative and multi-faceted organisation and there are many internal opportunities to get involved with as well. Finally, you will be joining a high performing and highly experienced team, who are passionate and motivated to improve the quality of life of people experiencing homelessness across London.

About the role

The ESOL Tutor will deliver English language lessons to Afghan refugees, supporting them to develop the skills and confidence needed to integrate into their communities. This role directly contributes to the Refugee Council’s strategy of promoting inclusion, independence, and pathways into education, training, and employment.

This role will involve delivering ESOL classes in person and will require frequent travel across Yorkshire and Humberside.

Working as a Senior Keyworker you will be responsible for supervising a small group of keyworkers, planned and ad-hoc supervision is an integral part of the Senior role, and you will be supporting keyworkers with monthly supervision and have oversight of safeguarding for the women they work with.  You will be supporting the quality control for the region which will include dip-checks and data input.

About The Opportunity

Money Workshops are the core of what we do. Through these sessions, we reach over 40,000 people per year across the UK with our vital financial wellbeing messages. 

This offering is split between two areas of work: Workshops for children and young people (our Financial Education offer), and Sessions & Programmes for adults (what we call Financial Wellbeing Training). We are looking for multiple Freelance Consultants to deliver to one or both of these two groups. Please see the job descriptions below for more information about each opportunity.

The Workshops are interactive, engaging and relevant, covering topics including budgeting, saving, borrowing, investing, pensions and much more. In the majority of cases, they are also fully-funded (free) to the organisations we partner with, keeping barriers to access as low as possible.

Head of Financial Planning & Analysis required for a leading specialist children's health charity on a 12 month fixed term contract basis. The Finance team is undergoing an exciting period of transformation, including the implementation of a new finance system. This is a key role where you will lead the post-implementation phase of the new system and continue delivering high-quality financial performance reporting, forecasting, and business insights.

Detailed duties include;

• Drive financial planning and analysis processes: Oversee the preparation of the charity's budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring timely and accurate reports for senior leadership and governance committees
• Lead the implementation of improvements: Manage the post-implementation phase of the new finance system and use it to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and planning
• Manage the month-end process: Ensure timely, clear, and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and analysis
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with budget holders, senior leadership, and other departments to ensure financial performance aligns with organisational strategy and objectives

In order to be successful in the role we are looking for;

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Extensive experience in FP&A within senior finance roles, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector

• Proven track record of managing and delivering budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting with a strong focus on financial planning and analysis
• Advanced Excel skills, and experience with financial systems (experience with finance system implementation is a plus)

The Role

JOB PURPOSE 

The Operations team at Start Network seeks to provide high quality services and works across all directorates. The Operations Officer plays a crucial, frontline role for the organisation, often being the first port-of-call for enquiries from staff and supporting the Senior Operations Manager in the day-to-day delivery of services. The Opportunity

Our Membership Platform supports the College membership functions to make a difference to the lives of over 3.6 million children taught by our members. It is used to track, manage and support our members to access their benefits.

We are recruiting a Ruby Developer within the Service Operations team to manage our membership platform and provide support to users who access it. During the contract you will:

• Monitor and resolve any issues arising with the platform.
• Manage and maintain the platform so it remains operational. 
• Work closely with the Head of Data and Digital to successfully transform and move the current data and services to a new platform built on Salesforce.
• Support membership operations with reporting, payment and refund requests.

This would be an ideal opportunity to work on a project to move our data and processes from a Ruby platform to Salesforce which will move the College’s processes forward to ensure a strong future. In this role you will: 

• have autonomy for maintaining and managing our existing membership platform;
• work collaboratively with many of the team across the business, supporting recruitment and retention of our members; and
• help to grow the professional membership organisation for the teaching profession and be  part of the team driving the organisation forward at an exciting time for the future of the College.

Platform Management and Maintenance

Most of the time, you will be managing the membership platform, fixing any bugs, keeping the server up to date, ensuring stability, and providing reports to various stakeholders within the College.  You will also provide support to the membership team with refund requests through GoCardless and Stripe.

Data and Process Transition

You will spend some of your time working with the Head of Data and Digital to move all relevant membership data and processes over to Salesforce.  This will entail preparing data in the correct format and providing support to move automated processes over to the new system.
