KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Purchase Ledger: input and maintain supplier information on Sage/Xero, responsible for authorisation of payments by Senior Management, preparation of weekly payment runs for review & sending monthly remittances
- Sales Ledger: input and maintain customer information on Sage/Xero, raise sales invoices & credit notes for all departments in accordance with deadlines
- Petty cash: banking of cash and cheques, monthly petty cash counts & reconciliations for review

Auditory Verbal UK (AVUK) is an award-winning charity that wants all deaf children to have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers. It supports deaf babies and children to learn to listen and speak with Auditory Verbal therapy and provides internationally accredited training in Auditory Verbal practice for health and education professionals. AVUK works to raise expectations and outcomes for deaf children and increase access to, as well as awareness and understanding of, Auditory Verbal therapy, with a clear mission to enable every family with a deaf child the opportunity to access Auditory Verbal therapy through publicly funded services close to where they live.
Overview
Working with the Head of Fundraising, you will play a key role in securing income from corporate partners and major donors to support AVUK’s bold 10-year plan. These partnerships are central to our long-term strategy to transform the landscape of Auditory Verbal provision, ensuring that every family who wants their child to learn to listen and talk can access a publicly funded Auditory Verbal programme in their local area.
This role requires experience in relationship fundraising, ideally working with businesses and/or major donors, and a strong ability to build rapport and trust. You’ll be an effective communicator and collaborator, confident in supporting income generation activities that align and elevate AVUK’s goals.
With experience of securing five to six-figure gifts, you’ll use your commercial acumen to identify and nurture your pipeline and partnerships, contributing to our annual fundraising target of £1.5m and setting the foundations for growth to £2m+ in future years.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, diligent, and comfortable taking initiative. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where relationship-building and ownership of your work are key to driving income and impact. The role is weighted towards developing new corporate partnerships, with responsibility for managing our existing partnership with Markerstudy Group, and some time spent cultivating potential major donor relationships with senior management support. To help you succeed, you have support and guidance from our Head of Fundraising, alongside a passionate and collaborative CEO and Senior Management Team.
Contract Details
Location: Primarily remote, with 2 days a month in our London office, plus meetings with partners where required.
Working Hours: 30 hours per week (0.8 FTE); flexible working fully supported through policies and practice.
Contract Type: Fixed-term, 12 months from January – December 2026
Salary: £45,000-48,000 pa FTE depending on experience, plus benefits including 7% employer contribution to Group Pension Scheme.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate partnerships strategy
- With support and guidance from the Head of Fundraising, lead the development and delivery of AVUK’s corporate partnerships strategy in support of our overall fundraising goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities at a five and six figure value, unlocking new opportunities that contribute to a £130k partnerships budget this year.
Business development & income generation
- Work closely with your fundraising and comms colleagues to create compelling proposals and pitches that resonate with corporate and major donor audiences and help you to secure new gifts / partnerships.
- Proactively grow and maintain a strong funding pipeline, creating new prospects for our priority funding areas through quality research, strategic outreach and developing engagement opportunities.
Relationship management & external engagement
- Manage a small portfolio of corporate partnerships including our flagship partnership with Markerstudy Group, delivering excellent stewardship and ensuring long-term engagement.
- Lead the planning and delivery of the Sounds of Success event (November 2026), as a key moment in our stewardship and engagement calendar.
- Support the Head of Fundraising, CEO, and Fundraising Advisory Board in developing relationships with potential major donors, providing inspiring stewardship and maximising opportunities through networks, events, and strategic engagement.

JOB PURPOSE
Start Network staff travel extensively to low, moderate and high-risk countries and the Travel and Security Advisor will play a crucial role in helping the organisation to fulfil its duty of care obligations to its staff. The Travel and Security Advisor will proactively assist and advise Start Network staff throughout the travel process and liaise with external parties such as UK-based security consultants, the organisation’s insurance broker and overseas Host security personnel.

Fragile Threads has been generously funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery Players. It is a multi-stranded and innovative, narrative-led programme exploring biodiversity loss, textile heritage, and cultural expression through embroidery. With multiple partners, community engagement projects, and a major public exhibition planned for 2027, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passionate interest in culture and creativity, particularly in the applied arts.
You’ll be key to delivering the Fragile Threads corporate development income strategy, identifying and driving vital new business as well retaining longer term support from priority sectors. About the role
CTI is part of a housing-led response to ending homelessness. CTI is an evidence-based model, designed for times of transition for people who require support to navigate often fragmented systems. It uses a time limited case management approach to support people through a period of transition which works towards preventing and ending homelessness.
The model is strictly time limited and prescriptive in its application and Crisis’ CTI pilot will run close to the CTI principles. The timing of movement through the phases is defined by the Programme model.
CTI consists of four main phases:
- Pre CTI: in which the relationship with the client is developed and their goals and ambitions are identified, (no timescale – could be days, months or years)
- Transition: providing support & beginning to connect client to people and agencies that will assume the primary role of support and enable them to meet their goals (3 months)
- Try out: monitoring and strengthening support network and client’s skills (3 months)
- Transfer of care: terminating CTI and stepping right back (3 months)
The post holder will be working within the framework of CTI, supporting prison leavers from prison into accommodation, thus preventing homelessness on release from custody.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience of delivering person centred support with statutory and non-statutory services within the criminal justice system, offering coaching and mentoring, learning support and/or personal development training, ideally working to matrix standards. You will also have an appreciation of delivering this within a time limited framework.
You will demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting homeless or vulnerably housed individuals which could include mental illness, addiction, the benefit system and housing. Being committed to empowering homeless and vulnerably housed individuals is essential to this role.

This position sits in the Awards Management Unit (AMU), in CRRD. The role is part of the Global Business Development – Donor Engagement Team, which has the responsibility of being the internal donor focal point as well as managing the relationship with our key institutional donors. The Frameworks Officer will support the Frameworks & Global Awards Team/Donor Engagement Team in managing multi-country awards and supporting strategic donor engagement. Key Stakeholders and Relationships

- Award Management and Compliance: Support (Senior) Portfolio Managers/Advisors in the management of multi-country award portfolios, including for awards funded by Irish Aid, DEC, GFFO, Sida, and others as needed.

Core Tasks
The Frameworks Officer will, in collaboration with colleagues across the IRC:
- Support the management of multi-country award portfolios, including awards funded by Irish Aid, DEC, GFFO, Sida, and others as needed.
- Assist in the review of narrative and financial reports, ensuring input from relevant staff and alignment with donor requirements.
- Support budget realignments and award amendments/modifications, where necessary.
- Maintain award documentation and systems, including trackers, reporting schedules, and databases.
- Contribute to donor engagement efforts, including preparing briefing documents, internal communications, and donor-facing materials.
- Support the maintenance of IRC’s award management system and associated processes; regularly update trackers and reporting schedules.

Community Coach
As a member of the Community Team, you will provide vital support to people who have completed our course in prison and are now in the community working to find the stability they need to realise their potential, achieve their goals and rebuild their lives after prison.
This is an exciting time to join our Community Team as we look to broaden and deepen the support we offer participants as they leave prison. You will help shape our offer to participants; drawing on your experiences and creativity and working with our other Community Coaches to trial new approaches.
Partnership working plays an important part of the role, and you’ll get to connect with employers, partners and statutory organisations to support participants as they build a life after prison.
This role would be ideal for someone with a good understanding of the challenges faced by those caught up in the criminal justice system, gained through personal experience, paid work or volunteering.

As an SMI Health Facilitator, you will:
- Work with GP practices and community mental health teams to identify people on SMI registers who have missed their annual physical health checks.

- Build trusting, non-judgmental relationships to overcome barriers and improve engagement.
- Carry out basic health checks (e.g., blood pressure, height, weight, pulse, and finger-prick tests).

- Collaborate with peer support workers, social prescribers, and GP staff to create a supportive care pathway.
