What you’ll be doing:

As COO, you will play a critical leadership role in the strategic and operational success of LtL. You will work closely with the CEO and the management team to deliver the charity’s vision, overseeing day-to-day project delivery across the UK. You will take the lead for LtL H&S and Safeguarding responsibility alongside deputising for the CEO. It is essential you are happy to and would enjoy frequent travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

· Operational Leadership.

· Drive operational excellence and innovation in the charity’s systems, processes, and project infrastructure.

· Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to translate strategic and project plans into operational delivery.

· Attend and contribute to the planning of board meetings.

Project Management

· Oversee the delivery of multiple, complex projects, in all four home nations, ensuring timelines, budgets, and outcomes are met, and line manage project managers.

· Work on national programme implementation, including government contracts, charitable grants, and corporate-funded initiatives.

· Develop and manage project delivery plans, risk registers, evaluation processes, and resource allocation, health & safety, and safeguarding.

· Support the CEO and Finance Manager in budget planning, financial forecasting, and reporting for projects.

· Ensure projects are run within guidelines and legal responsibilities, including data protection, GDPR, health and safety, and charity governance.

· Act as the operational safeguarding lead, working closely with the charity’s Designated Safeguarding Leads to embed best practice in all areas of delivery.

· Work with the CEO to ensure safeguarding policies are robust, understood by all staff partners and network, and adhered to in all operational activities.

· Work with the CEO on contract negotiation and management.

Systems and Operational Development

· Lead the development and improvement of internal systems and processes to support efficient, effective, and collaborative working across the charity.

· Oversee the use and optimisation of IT and digital tools for internal communication and project coordination.

· Embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring systems are user-friendly, fit for purpose, and compliant with data protection and other regulations.

People and Culture

· Line manage project managers across the UK, fostering a positive and values-led organisational culture rooted in inclusion, equity, and safeguarding.

· Coordinate leadership and professional development for staff, partners and networks.

· Champion true diversity, equity, and inclusion across all operational activities.

Stakeholder and Partnership Management

· Act as a senior representative for LtL at external meetings, events, and with funders or partners.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, local authorities, funders, and delivery partners.

· Represent LtL in national forums, working groups, and networks relevant to education and the environment.

Travel

· Regular travel across the UK to support project delivery, engage with stakeholders, and lead regional teams with occasional international travel.

· Regular overnight stays required.

What you need

Essential

· Proven experience in a senior operational role, preferably within the charity, education, or environmental sector.

· Track record of successfully managing complex, multi-partner projects at a national or regional scale.

· One or both of Safeguarding and Health & Safety training qualifications.

· Excellent leadership, line management, and team development skills.

· Outstanding project management skills including budgeting, planning, evaluation, and reporting.

· Strong understanding of governance, safeguarding, and risk management in a not-for-profit context.

· Embody LtL friendly and inclusive culture of support and kindness.

· Ability to influence and inspire with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK and occasionally internationally.

Desirable

ORCA are looking for an outstanding Training Manager to join their team and help the charity take the next step in the evolution of their programme of e-learning training courses to help more people than ever to help protect whales and dolphins.

Job Title: Executive Administrator 

Location: Central Office which is based around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington Station. Hybrid working available, approximately 2 - 3 days per week in the office including every Tuesday. Additional office, service, and away days would be required for attendance.

About the role

We're looking for an Executive Administrator to join our central office team, reporting to the Director of Finance and Resource. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative and governance support to various leaders within the organisation, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), The Board, and CEO. 

In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of coordinating meetings, managing governance processes, and supporting strategic initiatives. You will be able to organise and manage events and away days, as well as manage our booking systems and general running. • Experience in high level administration duties, ideally within a similar role, supporting senior leadership teams and boards with all areas of administration

We are seeking a dynamic and self motivated Intensive Needs Support Coach to join us on a fixed term rolling contract as part of the Rough Sleeper Initiative Project. You will provide effective practical and personal support and guidance to our residents during their stay in our accommodation to enable them to become more resilient and to live independently. The service supports residents who have a history of non-engagement and have a history of rough sleeping and complex needs. You will proactively support them to be more engaged in activities and support plans to overcome their personal barriers. You will run activities and complete safety plans, support plans, and other appropriate interventions to support our residents to achieve their goals.

About you

We are looking for someone who is dedicated and passionate to supporting those who face multiple disadvantages within society, and have a history of homelessness. You will be driven to help end the cycle, by providing personalised support to individuals for them to gain greater independence and have long term access to accommodation. You will have an understanding of the challenges they face and understand how different complex needs can vary. We're looking for someone who is resilient, a problem solver, and able to work in fast paced ever-changing environments. 

• Experience in working directly with people who have experienced homelessness
• Experience with supporting people with multiple complex needs which can further include substance use and mental health

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Office Manager for The Royal Homes Estate at Queens Alexandra Court. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for queries, managing administrative tasks, supporting meetings and events, maintaining resident files, and overseeing the referral process.

You will also facilitate the use of common and guest rooms, manage communications for potential residents, and collaborate on creating notices and welcome packs.

Additionally, you will provide support for financial enquiries and work with agencies supporting residents to procure goods, event tickets, and services.

About the team

You will be part of a small dedicated and compassionate team based at The Royal Homes Estate. You will have the opportunity to work closely with co-workers who are highly trained, experienced and supportive.

About you

To carry out this role successfully, you will have strong administrative and reception experience, and be proficient in Microsoft 365 applications. You will be confident in using digital technology and be able to act independently when required.

You will have knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, the Equality Act, and have experience working with vulnerable and elderly individuals.

Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will help you build strong relationships and effectively support others. You will be able to handle telephone calls with professionalism and have experience in diary management and producing high-quality documents.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and time management skills to be able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

At The National Lottery Community Fund, we are driven by our strategy, ‘It starts with community’ and its four community-led missions, as well as our equity-based approach to tackling poverty, discrimination and disadvantage. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fund as we expand the UK Portfolio to meet our ambitions in delivering the strategy. We're looking for two people to join the UK Portfolio Team as Heads of Funding, leading a team of just under 40.

The UK Portfolio supports the ambitions and potential of communities across the UK.We focus on scaling projects with a UK-wide benefit, through significant investments, which enable systems-level change for communities. Our funding is intended to complement the work of other country portfolios: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

As one of four Heads of Funding in UK Portfolio you will oversee all aspects of our work and ensure the team is resourced and able to deliver operationally. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring our programmes are designed and delivered to the scope, standard and deadlines required and will lead on specific strategic areas and relationships inside and outside the Fund. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring an understanding of the external policy, practice and funding context from across the UK is reflected in our delivery. You will provide leadership for the team, supporting the work of the Portfolio Managers.

We are currently evolving our UK Portfolio funding offers and  programmes in response to the strategy, developing a partnerships offer, and how we are more than a funder through our support to communities across the UK.

All Heads of will lead on a combination of strategic and operational priorities and the roles will involve a variety of responsibilities including:

• Overseeing up to £50m of grant commitments each year ensuring compliance with our operational and governance policies and requirements
• Lead one of the community-led missions in relation to the UK Portfolio’s funding offer
• Lead the strategic development and direction of a combination of our funding programmes and partnership approach
• Responsible for stakeholder management, both internally and externally
• Ensure learning and impact of our work is shared appropriately and informs our practice
• Lead engagement with our decision making Panels, Committees and Board
• Team leadership including culture, resource planning and team development
• Fund wide leadership either relating to one of the missions or as part of cross Fund priorities

You will need to work closely with the other Heads of Funding and each day will be a blend of operational and strategic work, stakeholder engagement, team leadership with lots of opportunities to collaborate with others across the Fund.

We are looking for ambitious, creative and passionate people with experience of the funding environment and brokering partnerships. Excellent leadership and collaboration skills will be essential in building relationships at all levels, from senior management to external stakeholders and funding colleagues across the Fund. You’ll have a keen understanding of the nuances of working within a public body, and a deep commitment to ensuring we are delivering impact through our current funding portfolio whilst also looking to the future and developing new funding initiatives and ways of working to meet our 2030 vision.

You’ll be joining a dynamic and welcoming geographically dispersed team, working with hugely important and fascinating projects that are responding to and addressing a wide range of topics across the Fund’s four community-led missions.

Due to our dispersed nature as a team, it is expected that there will be occasional travel in order to connect with colleagues, stakeholders and projects. This is likely to be one to two occasions per month.

About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Healthy and Sustainable Diets Lead to join our Conservation, Advocacy, and Policy team and help us transform the global food system. We have a vision that our planet can sustainably produce the food needed to feed a growing global population without harming nature. To help deliver this vision we have been partnering with Sodexo, which delivers catering, and other services, to 100 million consumers daily in 56 countries, by providing technical expertise and thought leadership on sustainability to support Sodexo’s ambition to be the world leader in sustainable food and valued experiences.

As Healthy and Sustainable Diets Lead you will lead the sustainable eating workstream for our global Sodexo partnership.  This will involve coordinating our engagement in the development and implementation of Sodexo’s Global Sustainable Eating Strategy, providing technical expertise on sustainable diets and other aspects of sustainable eating. You will collaborate with Sodexo’s global partnership leads to ensure delivery and alignment across the full breadth of the partnership too.

Critically, you will also lead work on healthy and sustainable diets within the UK food sector, advocating for progress towards the Livewell diet. A key responsibility will be to oversee the Diets pillar of our flagship WWF Basket initiative, holding UK retailers accountable for their commitments on driving shifts toward healthier, more sustainable diets.

In addition, you will support the work of our global sustainable diets team. This will include leading the development of a methodology for food service providers to track progress toward healthy and sustainable diets as well as advancing our Future Foods work.  

We’re looking for someone with:

· A postgraduate degree or equivalent in nutrition (e.g. UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists).

· Experience of working with businesses on changing policy & practice.

· Experience bringing together stakeholders & creating a culture of collaborative working.

· Experience of analysing & resolving complex problems involving multiple stakeholders & synthesising scientific evidence/data.

· Experience in designing & managing programmes, including monitoring impact & budgets.

· Excellent project management, communication & influencing skills.

· A flexible and adaptable attitude & willingness to accept & drive change.
