Introduction to the role

The coordinator role is crucial in enhancing the productivity and efficiency of the leadership team within the organisation. Serving as a central point of contact, this position involves a diverse range of responsibilities, from managing executives' calendars and coordinating meetings to handling communications with professionalism and discretion. By implementing improvements to organisational processes and maintaining meticulous record-keeping, the coordinator role contributes significantly to the smooth operation of daily activities of the organisation.

Purpose of role 

The Operations Coordinator will: 

• Act as a central point of contact, managing executive calendars, coordinating meetings, and facilitating effective communication while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Specific responsibilities and duties 

Administrative Support  

• Assist with a variety of administrative tasks that enhance the productivity of the leadership team, such as scheduling and coordinating meetings, managing executives' calendars with attention to priorities, and organising files and documentation for easy access.

• Identify and implement improvements to existing organisational processes and procedures to boost efficiency, ensuring that the team can operate at maximum effectiveness. 

Communications  

• Act as a central point of contact for both internal team members and external stakeholders, handling communications with a professional demeanor.

Meetings  

• Collaborate closely with the Business and Operations Manager to support the overall management of meetings, including preparing detailed agendas, taking comprehensive minutes during meetings, and circulating documents to all participants in a timely manner, ensuring that all follow-up actions are clearly outlined. 

Event Coordination 

• Coordinate a variety of events and meetings, supporting logistics such as venue selection, catering orders, accessability requirements and technical arrangements.

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of member events and meetings, ensuring all details are attended to, such as invitations, attendee confirmations, and venue preparations. 

Project Administration 

• Maintain comprehensive administrative records relevant to projects, ensuring that all documentation is current and easily accessible to project team members. 

Record Keeping 

• Establish and maintain accurate records, comprehensive databases, and organised documentation related to office operations and employee activities, including diligent management of the CRM system to ensure timely updates and accuracy of information. 

Finance 

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, maintaining accurate and organised accounting records, and supporting the reconciliation of accounts to ensure data integrity.

General 

• Support the organisation to achieve its corporate objectives. 

• Be a proactive and professional representative of VODG and its values at all times, including in relation to the prioritisation of your own responsibilities and professional development.

We’re recruiting for a Development Manager!

The Mill is a small scale multi-art form venue with big ambitions. Situated in the North Oxfordshire market town of Banbury, it is the focus of cultural life as the only public arts and performance venue in the Cherwell District.

Our 237-seat theatre plays host to high quality professional theatre, dance, comedy and music productions, whilst supporting opportunities for local community arts organisations to work and perform in a professional space. The Development Manager will lead on delivery of The Mill Arts Centre’s fundraising strategy, with a particular focus on establishing new income streams through relationship-based fundraising including through the prospecting and stewardship of high-net worth individuals, companies and legacies.

You will develop and implement strategies to recruit and cultivate new supporters and oversee the stewardship of current relationships with care, with a focus on building new income streams from mid and major gifts.

We are delighted to be working with Resurgo Trust, a Christian Charity, who are partnering with River Church to deliver the award-winning Spear programme in Ipswich. One of 17 UK centres, Spear Ipswich work with 16-24 years old who face barriers to employment equipping them with the skills and mindset to find work and thrive. 

They are now looking for a Centre Manager who can oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery, to ensure it is delivered in line with agreed targets, reporting to Resurgo and the church, whilst providing effective leadership to the Assistant Coaches.

All Spear coaches work face-to-face with young people, having the privilege to invest in their lives, but receive regular training as a group, so you’d be joining a network of many likeminded coaches eager to see young people’s lives radically impacted. You’ll work with and be supported by the River Church locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of their shared mission in Ipswich.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day work of our innovative Hearing Voices Projects. To be successful in this role, you need to have an in-depth understanding of the Hearing Voices Movement and the role of peer support groups within this. You will ideally have experience of supervising or mentoring volunteers and some project management experience.

With the confidence and organisational skills necessary to take the lead on busy and diverse projects, you will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (from the adult mental health, prison, forensic and youth sectors). As such, this role is best suited to someone who is flexible enough to modify their approach to suit the situation.

We are looking for someone with strong facilitation skills who is able to deliver and design training that communicates the values of the Hearing Voices Network clearly and accessibly.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Oversee the current Hearing Voices Projects to ensure they are consistent and embody the Mind in Camden and Hearing Voices Movement ethos.
• Be part of some of the frontline work, including facilitating groups.

Pregnancy Options Centre (Options) are seeking a Fundraising and Marketing Officer to raise funds for our counselling and education services: supporting people in crisis or distress around unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss experiences and educating the next generation on matters surrounding sexual health and healthy relationships. The post-holder will be responsible for raising funds from grants/trusts applications, and for developing and maintaining donor relationships. They will also take the lead on marketing the charity through social media, publicity and our website.

Pregnancy Options Centre provides free, non-directive help and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy or struggling following an abortion or pregnancy loss. We offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings surrounding their situation and experiences. Alongside our counselling service, our Education project delivers interactive workshops to young people on topics surrounding healthy sex and relationships, self-esteem and the three options following an unplanned pregnancy: abortion, adoption and parenting.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and Finance:

• To carry out and contribute to the fundraising strategy
• Write comprehensive and compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations, tailoring them to meet a range of criteria

The Restored Beacon Network is a national network of churches that provide a place of welcome and safety for those who have experienced domestic abuse. Beacon churches partner with us to receive training, guidance and resources so that they can effectively support survivors in their congregations and communities, shining a light in the darkness of domestic abuse and journeying with them on the road to recovery. 

The Restored Beacon Network manager will work with the CEO to grow and develop this important network of churches. You will meet and recruit new church partners and walk them through the journey to becoming a Restored Beacon and beyond. The Hearing Voices Projects Support Worker will play a vital role in ensuring that those who need our services receive kind and compassionate support. Purpose:

To support the effective management of Ella’s office, community hub and homes, ensuring they remain safe, well-maintained, and fully operational. The Facilities Assistant will act as a key point of contact for contractors and suppliers, assist with general upkeep of the facilities, and contribute to a safe and welcoming environment for staff and service users.

Office and community hub support

• Ensure Ella’s office and community hub is well-maintained, clean, and organised for staff and service user use.

Home visits and contractor management

• Travel to Ella’s safe homes as required to meet contractors, suppliers, or delivery personnel.

• Oversee on-site work, ensuring contractors adhere to safety protocols and complete work to the agreed standard.

• Provide access to properties for repairs, maintenance, and inspections, and communicate progress to the Operations Manager. 

• Conduct basic checks within the homes, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.

Ella’s is a London-based organisation working with women who have survived trafficking and sexual exploitation. Our mission is to do everything we can to ensure survivors have all they need to recover and build lives that are safe and free. 

Here is a summary of our main activities:

• We run five safe houses. This supported accommodation is crucial for survivors, until they are ready and able to live independently. 

• We provide regular support for women and families in neighbourhoods across London, and many more further afield when they need us. 

• We speak out on issues affecting the women we work with. We care deeply about survivors of trafficking and exploitation and want to see a world where these crimes are not tolerated.

About Us: The Weir Link is a small and vibrant charity and community centre dedicated to bringing the community together through educational, training, and social opportunities. Established in June 2010, we have transformed a derelict space into a thriving hub for local residents. Our centre hosts a variety of activities including after-school clubs, stay-and-play sessions, arts and crafts, Pilates, yoga, ante-natal classes, and community meetings.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Centre Manager to join our team and manage this important community resource. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community development and has a proven track record in business development, fundraising, and, ideally, project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the management and operation of The Weir Link in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.

Identify fundraising opportunities and submit credible applications resulting in income generated to support the great work of the Centre.

Manage the delivery of high-quality activities and events for the local community.

Maintain and develop partnerships with organizations and community groups.

Line-manage the Facilities and Bookings Coordinator to ensure the building is well-maintained and safe.

Work with Trustees to implement the business plan and sustainable funding strategy.

Develop and execute an effective marketing strategy to promote our activities and events.

Ensure all visitors feel welcome, safe, and encouraged, and maintain systems for monitoring satisfaction and evaluating outcomes.

Person Specification:

Experience in business development and identifying potential opportunities.

Proven success in fundraising and applying for grants.

Strong project management skills, including marketing and communications.

Experience in community research and organizing events.

Motivated, organized, and reliable with a flexible and resourceful approach.

Libraries Unlimited is seeking a motivated and dynamic Climate Action Development Manager to lead the delivery of our Together for Tomorrow initiative – an ambitious five-year project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Together for Tomorrow aims to empower communities across Devon to take meaningful, sustainable action to address climate change while improving wellbeing and social cohesion. From repair cafes and community fridges to sustainable gardening and outreach to under-represented groups, this project puts people and place at the heart of climate resilience.

As our Climate Action Development Manager, you will:

• Lead the delivery of this transformative project, ensuring its vision, objectives, and community values are at the forefront.
• Coordinate a dynamic network of partners including local climate groups, councils, and national organisations, embedding collaboration across all activities.
• Manage and support a delivery team including area outreach officers and community enablers, ensuring strong, inclusive engagement in every community.
• Champion inclusive climate action, reaching those most affected by climate change including low-income households, rural communities, and young people.
• Track and evaluate impact, working closely with Resource Futures and other partners to monitor social, environmental, and economic outcomes.
• Promote learning and legacy, sharing insights, outcomes, and scalable models through networks, libraries, and community events.

Board Member 

Wellingborough 

£5,955 plus reasonable expenses

Our client is looking to fill two vacancies on our Board with individuals who can strengthen our existing skills-based Board by bringing high-level knowledge and experience in one or both of the below areas: 

• Treasury

• Asset Management

The successful applicant will be a member of their Board and a member of one or more of the following committees: 

• Audit and Risk 

• Board Effectiveness and People 

• Customer Assurance 

The successful applicants will be appointed at the July Board meeting however, their term of office will commence in September 2025. The Board typically meet online however there are approximately four in-person meetings a year, of which two also include overnight stays. 

As a full Board Member, the remuneration is £5,955 p.a. plus reasonable expenses.

There will be a two-stage interview process for these vacancies. The first stage interviews will be held online on the 4th and 6th June with the Chair of the Board and the CEO. The in-person second-stage interviews will be held on 24th or 25th June 2025 at Wellingborough with the CEO, Chair of Board Effectiveness and People Committee and the Chair of the Customer Assembly.
