We are recruiting for a Fundraising Officer to join our Fundraising team located within our Marketing team. The role will lead on programme-based funding, through trusts and foundations, and corporates. You will work closely with every team at Scottish Book Trust and across a diverse portfolio of funders and projects. Aurora New Dawn is a registered charity providing support and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, stalking and sexual violence.

The Children & Young Person’s Advocate will support children at risk of domestic abuse, including sexual violence and stalking within a domestic abuse context within the Thames Valley area. Children will be identified via their non-abusing parent who is already accessing support as a victim of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking from Aurora New Dawn. The support offered to the child will be parallel to the non-abusing parent’s support and offers the parent a safe space to speak confidentially to their advocate.

The Children & Young Person’s Advocate will take part in age appropriate activities via various communication channels with the child. This can include telephone conversations, face to face visits, reading books, arts and crafts and offering an environment for the child to communicate any worries or concerns they may have.

How are staff supported to work remotely?

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

The Role

As a Donation Centre Sorting Assistant, you will be reporting to the Donation Centre Manager, you will be responsible for quickly, efficiently and accurately sorting donations of clothing, bric-a-brac, electrical and all other donated items, for re-sale in our network of charity shops and via our eCommerce outlets. This role will operate in accordance with all health and safety regulations.

You will be expected to receive stock donations from our donors in a friendly, positive and welcoming way. We do not turn donations away as we have a significant growth plan for our retail network, so it is essential that you are able to remain positive and welcoming to all supporters and demonstrate our gratitude for receiving donations. Great customer service is also essential to maximise income through Gift Aid sign-ups and every donor should be encouraged to sign up to Gift Aid, if it is applicable for them.

Specifically, you will:

- Quickly and efficiently sort a wide variety of donated stock.

- Ensure that donated stock is stored appropriately and safely, in accordance with all health and safety regulations and charity policies, minimising the risk of damage and stock loss.

- Identify if any specific donated stock suits the profile/demographics of specific shops in the retail network and ensure that those items are ringfenced and delivered in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.

- Communicate with Retail teams regarding stock offers and ensure that any requests for specific items are actioned in a timely manner.

- Create an engaging and supportive environment for our volunteers and ensure that the Donation Centre is a great place to work.

- Help create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of customer service for all donors, customers and supporters.

- Support the volunteer team by providing communication, support, guidance and direction in the absence of the Donation Centre Manager or their Deputy.

- PAT test donated electrical items to ensure that they are able to be sold in the shops, or via eCommerce (training will be provided).

- Coach any corporate volunteers in the standards that we expect in sorting, and represent the charity positively.

- Ensure that all charity policies, standards and operating procedures are communicated effectively to all members of your team and be comfortable in supporting your peers to change their behaviour or processes if they are not adhering.

- Ensure that the donated goods are processed in a timely manner to maximise income for the charity.

- Manage complaints effectively and efficiently, escalating through the Operations team structure, as appropriate, where they cannot be resolved at a local level.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

- To be ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent

- To have experience of working in a charity retailer or sorting high volume donated stock would be an advantage.

- To have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

- To have the ability to use own initiative and work with little direction, as management will not always be at the same site.

St Giles and The Wise Group came together to form a partnership with the aim of supporting the Probation Resettlement reforms by offering a high-quality service underpinned by staff who have lived experience and cultural competency. As a result, we have been awarded contracts to deliver Women’s Services for North Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Durham. The service will provide holistic support to sentenced women in the community and those sentenced and un-sentenced in custodial settings.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) ensuring they are successfully assigned to Personal Wellbeing Coaches using the appropriate guidance and process, ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, plus provide regular activity reports to the Personal Wellbeing Manager.  You will be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, external and internal to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. Prisons), delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.

Monitor and manage the Case management systems to ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales and provide regular activity reports to the Senior Administrator. Providing administration for meetings, including bookings, invitations and minute-taking, are also vital duties.

What we are looking for

• Experience of managing a case management system including inputting data and creating reports.
• ·Experience of working in services providing administrative support in a busy, pressurised environment.
• Experience of working in services which provide support to people who have faced adversity and disadvantage.
• Ability to develop and maintain means by which compliance with policy and procedure can be effectively monitored and reported on including financial expenditure.
• Ability to manage their workload including prioritising tasks and communicating with colleagues where delegation or allocation is required.
• Ability to create and communicate performance reports in a variety of formats.
• Ability to input data onto Customer Relationship Management Systems accurately and within agreed deadlines.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a Full Time Permanent Basis.

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Tonbridge Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.

Location: Unit 10, Angel Walk Shopping Centre, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1TJ

Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to on a rota basis which will include weekend, evening, and bank holiday working.

Some but not all key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
• Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
• Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
• Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
• Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines
• Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
• Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.
• Actively recruit the correct/specified number volunteers to deliver the stores objectives and KPI's.
• Ensure all financial, cash handling and security procedures are adhered to as per the Barnardo's Manager's Manual and the relevant Retail procedures.
• Hold the shop keys, ensuring that the shop is secure whenever it is left unattended.

Idea Candidates Must Haves:

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience of managing people
• Ability to liaise and respond to a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
• Ability to meet the needs of customers on a face-to-face basis, in order to generate sales and increase customer usage of the shop.
• Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply up to four figures in order to maintain budgets and complete accurately weekly income/banking sheets.
• Ability to handle cash and reconcile accurately.
• Proven experience of meeting targets and KPI's.

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is recruiting for the position of ‘Supporter Relations Assistant’ to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. This position is being offered on a fixed-term contract basis for 6 months. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.

To manage IRUK’s switchboard and phone enquiry system and to administer the entry of data on the fundraising database. This will include processing donations, updating supporter details, maintaining supporter records, and ensuring that information held is accurate, appropriate and up to date.

The role is focused on the creation of engaging content for our social media channels, including Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, as well as monitoring these channels and engaging with our followers. You will be involved in the major Veganuary campaign, inspiring and supporting people to try a vegan diet – better for animals, better for the planet, and better for our health. 

This is a fixed term contract until 28 February 2026. 

We need someone available to cover the following hours:

• Monday (9.00 to 5.30)
• Friday (9.00 to 5.30)
• Sunday (half a day worked at any time)
• A further half day to be worked on any day that suits.
