The Patient Involvement Officer role sits at the junction of lived experience involvement and our charitable objectives and will build meaningful collaborations and alignment between those affected by primary bone cancer, researchers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will co-ordinate and grow our Patient and Public Involvement Panel, which currently focuses on bringing lived experience to shape and review primary bone cancer research; however, we are keen for the voices of our community to contribute to our work across all our charitable pillars including our Support & Information service and our Influencing & Advocacy work. You will also support and empower our panel to share the work of Bone Cancer Research Trust more widely to their networks, ensuring a greater awareness of the charity and the impact of our work.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• On the job facilities management experience (minimum 3 years in a facilities manager role).

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment; with strong multi-tasking, organisational and time management skills.
• Experience of managing the tendering processes, contractor/supplier services and budget management (with a focus on value for money and quality of service).

• Experience of working on environmental and wellbeing initiatives. 
• Experience of management for front of house services.

Responsibilities

The Post

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised administrator, ideally with experience in a Charity or Professional body to join us as our Charities Assistant in a permanent position working 2 days a week, supporting a worthwhile charitable cause.

We are recruiting a Policy Coordinator / Lead—a strategic and collaborative thinker who will work closely with Liverpool City Council and a wide range of partners to shape food policy and drive systemic change. This role will lead initiatives to improve food provision for children and young people, influence council policies, and secure funding to advance the goals of the Good Food Plan.
