*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £25,601 to £32,089. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £27,568 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

Context and purpose of role 

At the Ramblers, we are committed to providing our supporters with the very best experience possible, placing the Member and Supporter Experience Team at the heart of our operations. The team acts as the first line of support for members and supporters, responding to enquiries, managing interactions, and deepening engagement with the Ramblers. 

This role is instrumental in ensuring a seamless supporter journey, helping to attract, welcome, and retain supporters while providing valuable insights to the organisation to improve supporter experiences. As an ambassador for supporters, the role also contributes to the organisation’s ability to deliver its charitable mission. 

Key responsibilities 

Supporter Engagement 

• Respond to supporter enquiries via phone, letter, email and social media in a timely and professional manner, and with professionalism, empathy and attention to detail. 

• Triage enquiries, referring complaints, safeguarding and safety matters to the specialists in the organisation and escalating other enquiries as needed to subject-matter experts. 

• Listen and respond to the needs of each supporter, understanding their motivations and experiences to foster long-term relationships. 

• Acknowledge and thank donations and other payments in a timely and personalised manner. 

Payment processing 

• Handle and manage the Direct Debit cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing with support from colleagues and finance. 

• Provide monthly KPIs related to Direct Debits to Head of Member and Supporter Experience.

• Process and manage in-bound financial payments in an accurate and timely manner, managing any reconciliation as required. 

• Investigate and resolve any payment issues, liaising with supporters and the payment processor as needed. 

• Support our auditors and finance team on any reconciliation or financial enquiries. 

Data integrity and CRM Management 

• Maintain accurate records of interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints in the CRM system in accordance with data protection and Gift Aid Legislation. 

• Share key supporter data and insights within the organisation to elevate the supporter voice. 

• Support key supporter administration tasks (e.g. welcome pack data send) 

Problem-solving and complaints handling 

• Investigate and resolve low-level issues or complaints, liaising with other colleagues as required and keep supporters informed throughout the process. 

• Handle complex technical enquiries related to our digital tools such as app, website, insight hub. 

• Manage feedback and complaints, following established procedure with a focus on turning negative experiences into positive ones. 

Volunteer support 

• Provide training and support to key volunteers, such as Membership Secretaries, helping them to attract, welcome and retain members. 

• Provide support to office volunteers, ensuring they feel values and supported to carry out their tasks effectively. 

Continuous improvement 

• Input into new digital development to ensure supporters receive value, and to minimise pain points 

Other 

• Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post. 

• Engage and proactively develop excellent working relationships across the organisation.

As a Trusts and Grants and Manager you will take on the management and stewardship of a diverse portfolio of high-value funding relationships, while developing new partnerships with a high propensity to support our work. You will play a proactive role in strategic planning and have line management responsibilities of a Trusts and Foundations Officer.

You will be a strategic thinker, used to working with high value grant making professionals and trustees and with senior staff and stakeholders within your own organisation. Main areas of responsibility

• Build relationships with portfolio of five and six figure trust supporters, understanding their motivations and tailoring opportunities and communications to cultivate strong, long-lasting partnerships.
• Foster a deep understanding of FareShare’s work and strategy to create persuasive fundraising proposals that inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the organisation to build a sound understanding of FareShare operations and where support is most needed
•   Champion and input in to the teams prospecting process, using your own research and sector knowledge to take new opportunities from identification through to solicitation, particularly focussing on those with multi-year and high value potential.
•  Develop innovative and personalised stewardship plans, in collaboration with senior colleagues when appropriate, to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.
•  Provide supportive management to a Trust and Grants Officer, offering regular advice and guidance, identifying opportunities for development and monitoring performance objectives in line with the organisational and team strategy.
• Play an active role in developing and delivering the Trusts and Grants team strategy contributing to planning and management of team objectives, and supporting the Senior Manager to motivate the team and drive trust income.  
• Work with colleagues across the Fundraising sub-teams to maximise cross over opportunities between income areas.
•  Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in our CRM system and shared files, and consistently update financial records and account plans.

Experience

• Experience of securing and successfully managing five and six figure grants and multi-year gifts from a range of grant makers, including project funding and unrestricted funding.
• Experience in prospecting for new high value business opportunities via multiple research channels and soliciting new donors to make significant gifts.
• Experience in writing compelling funding applications and impact reporting.
• Experience in developing and presenting complex project and financial information to support compelling funding proposals.
• Experience of successful cross department working with senior colleagues to deliver on funding objectives and budget.
• Experience of line management or transferable skills to line management.

Skills, knowledge and abilities

• Strong up-to-date knowledge of the trust, grant and foundation landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in writing proposals and presenting to or meeting with funders.

• Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to work with complex budgets and present them to funders.

• Help build positive, collaborative relationships with other local and national organisations supporting refugees, asylum-seeking people and migrants.

• To gather data to contribute to the monitoring, evaluation of and reporting on WLW’s work for fundraising, communications, advocacy and reports.

• To support with operational and general needs of the charity and staff team, such as with Felix Project groceries delivery, occasional Gail’s collection, and generally helping when and where required when extra help is needed.

Experience

• Essential: Experienced in advising and performing casework on housing/homelessness and benefits and other related issues for people newly granted refugee status and others with the right to remain in the UK.

• Essential: Experienced in advising those in the Home Office asylum system.

• Desirable: Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) Level 1 or Level 2 qualified in Asylum and Protection or Immigration.

• Essential: Up-to-date knowledge on one or more of the following issues: housing (particularly for refugees and asylum-seeking people), benefits, asylum support, immigration, community care, health, or related issues.

We are seeking an experienced BACP accredited Counsellor to join our friendly counselling team at the UK’s leading support charity for people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD). You will provide professional psychological support to adults through a series of regular counselling sessions to help bring about effective change and improve client wellbeing.

Based remotely, or working in our office in Alton Hampshire, you will deliver sessions by telephone or online, working with clients facing challenging issues. We'll provide training to develop your knowledge of the impact of kidney disease as well as CPD opportunities, regular internal case reviews and shared learning sessions

About the Service

Solace Women’s Aid provides a wide range of services to victim/survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in Islington including a large advocacy and support service and specialist projects co-located in a number of services.

About the Role

We are seeking Global Majority Worker to provide support and advocacy to women aged 16 years and over from the global majority and have suffered domestic and/or sexual violence, racial inequality or oppression.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work and completing outreach with faith based groups and churches to ensure our service is accessible for this marginalised group of women. In this role you will work as part of the Bexley Solace Advocacy and Support Service (SASS), providing support to high-risk survivors of domestic abuse in the borough. In addition to this, you will work in partnership with local agencies in order to provide the best support for our service users.

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG and safeguarding. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary. Ideal candidates will have demonstrable experience of working with victims of domestic and/or sexual violence in a multi-agency setting and a working knowledge of the criminal and civil justice systems.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, demonstrable substantial experience in providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG. A relevant qualification in VAWG or significant experience is desirable but not essential.

As a key member of the Community and Events Team, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent service to donors and supporters, ensuring the smooth processing of data to support the charity’s events and fundraising activities. Working within a small, friendly team of three, your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the fundraising inbox, handling phone enquiries, entering data into Raiser’s Edge, and supporting a wide range of fundraising administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and professionally to supporter enquiries via email, phone, and post, ensuring a positive and engaging donor experience.
• Accurately manage and process donation data across various income streams, including online platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Enthuse), and ensure correct income coding in collaboration with data and finance teams.
• Provide exceptional supporter care by acknowledging donations promptly, responding to enquiries via inbox and phone, and maintaining a high standard of supporter engagement and communication.
• Maintain and update the charity’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge), ensuring accurate data entry and supporter records for donations, fundraising pages, and event participants.
• Deliver administrative support for fundraising and challenge events, including sending out materials, managing stock of supporter resources, and supporting event logistics as required.
• Assist with stewardship activities and community fundraising support, including preparing and mailing fundraising packs, setting up new fundraisers, and helping coordinate communications.

Person Specification:

• Previous experience in a supporter care, customer service, or administrative role, ideally within a charity or not-for-profit environment.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the smooth running of our Programmes and Operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our logistics, partnerships, and communications run efficiently, allowing us to reach and support more young people. You will work closely with suppliers, referrers, and our internal team to coordinate key aspects of our programmes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme & Operations Support

• Support the coordination of OSH’s residentials, events, and programmes, ensuring logistics run smoothly.

• Arrange bookings (e.g. facilitators, venues, catering, transport) to ensure contracts and payments are managed efficiently.

• Assist in staff recruitment and volunteer management with recruitment, interview scheduling, onboarding, inductions, organising meetings and receiving feedback.

Administrative & Organisational Support

• Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Handle general inquiries via email and phone, acting as a key point of contact for external stakeholders.

• Support the team with minute-taking in meetings.

Partnerships & Referrals

• Communicate with referrers (such as youth groups, schools, social workers, and community organisations) to ensure young people are referred and engaged in our programmes.

• Support with phoning participants and referrers to support them to complete sign up forms where necessary

• Track and monitor referral processes, ensuring smooth communication and follow-ups with referrers to maximise participation at our events

• Maintain good relationships with external partners such as venues, facilitators, transport companies and other organisations we work with. 

Finance & Compliance Support

• Assist with financial administration, such as processing invoices, logging donations, and tracking expenses.

• Ensure OSH meets data protection and safeguarding requirements, keeping records up to date.

Other duties

• Getting involved in OSH events in the evenings and at weekends, including residentials. These are overnight trips from 2 to 5 nights

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Experience in the charity, youth, or refugee/migrant sector.
