The Clinical team at Diabetes UK gathers the diabetes management and prevention insights to help inform the organisation. As a valued member of the team, you will develop and share your knowledge and experience internally and externally to support Diabetes UK’s strategy. You will be an expert clinical resource for internal colleagues and external network, support the delivery of fresh, innovative, high-quality information and education resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes. You will effectively build and maintain excellent internal relationships with the Together Type 1 team and other teams across the charity to achieve the outputs in line with strategic goals and KPI requirements of the Steve Morgan Foundation (SMF) programme.

Role description:

You will lead a clinical area of diabetes, be an expert resource and maintain a good knowledge in all areas of diabetes care and prevention. You will gather new insights that help to inform Diabetes UK work, information and messaging while supporting other colleagues in developing diabetes knowledge. You will provide expertise within your clinical area on a range of matters including the development of products and resources, improving public understanding of diabetes through local and national media channels, reviewing evidence-based practice, and critically appraising to ensure clinical accuracy. Working with other colleagues, you will deliver wellbeing programmes to young people with type 1 diabetes. You may be required to provide clinical support and advice e.g. administer hypo treatment, advise on carb counting and support attendees who may have special needs.

The ideal candidate:

You will be a registered healthcare professional with clinical experience in diabetes preferably in paediatrics care within the NHS as a dietitian, nurse, or doctor. You will be passionate about using an evidence-based approach to creating resources for people with, and those at risk of, diabetes and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have experience of working across multiple teams, and be up to date with current developments, and trends, in diabetes care and prevention. You will be flexible in travelling around the country regularly to deliver wellbeing sessions including overnight stays, during some weekends and school holidays.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and Communications, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our fundraising strategy. We are Olive Branch Aid (OBA), an award-winning Foodbank charity operating in south London, and we are looking for a dynamic and confident Foodbank Manager to work alongside our newly appointed Foodbank Coordinator as well as an energetic team of more than 60 volunteers.

OBA is different

OBA provides a hand-up rather than a hand-out. More than a Foodbank, OBA provides support for 3 months - much longer than most Foodbanks. We also provide an innovative well-being support service that helps service users address the underlying causes of their food needs. In 2024, OBA helped more than 75 households with complex underlying issues, this involved many weeks of telephone calls and meetings and helped prevent at least five families from becoming homeless. OBA also provides free preloved clothing and household goods to help service users get back on their feet.

Since 2023, OBA has its own fully funded premises off Portslade Road next to the Windrush overground station. Despite these successes, we continue to rely entirely on donations for our day to day expenses. As Foodbank Manager, you will help us secure the funding to grow our services and help even more people.

Our Location

Reporting to the Head of Housing Services, the Housing Manager is responsible for ensuring that tenancies are sustained, rent is collected on time, and repairs are reported and monitored efficiently. The role requires a good understanding of housing law and involves working closely with other agencies in a supported housing environment. Key tasks include overseeing rent collection, ensuring correct tenancy sign-ups, and providing trauma-informed housing management in line with organisational values.

The Housing Manager also leads a team of Housing Officers, offering regular supervision, training, and support to help improve their performance and knowledge. They are responsible for making sure repairs are followed up, rent accounts are managed properly, and performance targets are met. The role involves building positive relationships with service users, dealing with complaints or issues, and working with support staff to help tenants maintain their housing. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of housing law, tenancy and licence agreements, and rent recovery procedures. Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are essential, along with effective written and verbal communication abilities. Job purpose

Part of the Policy & Engagement department, the Senior Communications Officer is responsible for devising and supporting strategic communication initiatives that elevate the College’s visibility, advocate for the importance of sustainable ophthalmology services, spotlight our work and values, and promote membership. Working with colleagues, members and external partners, you will craft, execute and evaluate multichannel campaigns, secure profile-raising media coverage, and create engaging content for all our communications channels.

Main responsibilities

Strategic communication planning

• Plan, deliver and evaluate multichannel communications campaigns and plans – working with colleagues across the College to identify objectives, target audiences and key messaging.

The role:

We’re recruiting for a passionate and proactive Audience Growth Officer to play a key role in expanding our global movement by supporting the implementation of grassroots engagement activities, focusing on connecting with new audiences, particularly young people and members of faith-based communities. Working closely with our Global Audience Growth team, you will help deliver campaigns and engagement activities to support grassroots engagement and attract new supporters and volunteers for our National Affiliates.

From planning to delivery, this is a hands-on, collaborative role, you’ll be liaising with our international family of National Affiliates, our Global Youth Ambassadors and teams across Mary’s Meals International to support the delivery of engagement activities and campaigns.

You will:

· Support delivery of engagement strategies focused on youth, volunteers, and faith-based communities.

· Build strong relationships with our inspiring Global Youth Ambassadors.

· Plan and deliver projects and campaigns that raise awareness and attract new supporters.

· Work with our team in Medjugorje to help bring our annual strategy to life.

· Help coordinate Mary’s Meals’ presence at global faith-based events

· Assist with research, communications and reporting to help measure success and keep us learning and improving.

· Collaborate across teams to keep grassroots work aligned with global audience growth goals.

About Us

The MSA Trust is a small national charity with a large reach, offering vital support to people affected by multiple system atrophy, a devastating neuro degenerative disease, and funding much needed research into the cause and cure.

About the role

The post-holder provides essential bookkeeping and basic accounts support to this small but growing charity. The job entails processing all non-salary income and expenditure, ensuring that the accounts are reconciled on a regular basis. Monitoring income and expenditure against budgets and developing forecasts and budgets for projects?

The post holder is expected to be proactive, self-motivated and show initiative and flexibility, taking responsibility for checking their own work. For the right person this will be a rewarding and fulfilling role. Working as a member of the team the post-holder will need to work closely with the Chief Executive and the heads of departments in the preparation of the annual budget, the production of monthly management accounts, accounting for restricted funds and monitoring financial performance.  The organisation uses Raisers Edge as it’s fundraising database and uses Xero online accounting system for the monthly accounts. The post holder will need to become familiar with both.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure the accounting software is up to date and accurate.

· Accounting for other income received via the bank statement and inputting onto Raisers Edge

· Process purchase and supplier invoices (ensuring compliance with authorisation procedures).

· Process staff, volunteer and beneficiary expense claims.

· Download monthly reports from third party fundraising platforms, CAF and Stripe or PayPal websites to ensure that donations are correctly allocated.

· Preparing management accounts and restricted fund summaries for Trustee meetings

· Monthly bank reconciliations

· Monitoring use of MSA Trust credit cards and ensuring payments are accounted and entered onto XERO correctly.

· Complete Quarterly gift aid claims

· Phasing the annual budget for management accounts purposes

· Working with the fundraisers and other staff to monitor restricted fund expenditure.

· Dealing with finance enquiries from colleagues and external agencies.

Other Duties

· To assist the CEO with preparation of information for finance subcommittee.

· Assist with minutes for Finance subcommittee

· To ensure all financial compliance is met.

· Manage the finance mailbox

To undertake any other reasonable activity in line with the responsibilities of the post as requested by the Chief Executive, Trustees or other senior staff.

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and confident in communicating clearly and empathetically. You will have excellent planning skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of service. You may have experience coordinating people or services and ideally some familiarity with advice provision, helpline delivery, or the wider social care or welfare landscape - although this is not essential.
