Based in a stunning setting in Godalming, Surrey, The Meath Epilepsy Charity, aim to enhance the lives of people who have complex epilepsy and related disabilities, by ensuring they receive the support, expert care and encouragement required to build confidence, acquire new skills and maximise independence in their daily lives.
The Epilepsy Nurse will have exceptional clinical expertise and deliver the highest quality of care and support within agreed protocols and allocated resources.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven Clinical Experience: Minimum of three years in a relevant role, with a strong foundation in clinical decision-making and credibility among residential care staff.
- Safeguarding and Incident Management: Demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding children, young adults, or adults; experience managing and investigating clinical and serious incidents.
- Specialist Knowledge and Care Planning: Experience working with individuals with epilepsy or learning disabilities; ability to co-plan effective care packages for complex needs.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent communication with families and teams, strong interpersonal skills, and a person-centred approach to care delivery.
- Organisational and IT Competence: High levels of resilience, problem-solving and organisational ability, proficiency in IT, and experience with audit and quality monitoring systems.

Role overview:
A pivotal senior position within the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising team, this role works closely with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising to lead key fundraising initiatives and stewardship efforts. Brand and Marketing

marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.

At Birmingham Hospice our patients are at the heart of everything we do, from caring for those in our Inpatient Units, to providing vital day services in our Living Well Centres, and supporting families with personalised bereavement counselling, we take care of our community when they need us most.
Our new Specialist Palliative Urgent Response (SPUR) service will be delivered on a 24-hour basis. During these hours the team will respond to urgent palliative response calls from patients, their families/loved ones and professionals within the Birmingham and Solihull area.
The Service Lead is an exciting new role which provides a mix of day and night operational management, fulfilling the leadership and strategic functions and ensuring compliance with the hospice’s governance, strategies and values.
Reporting to the Head of Care Services, Community, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of Band 6 and 7 nurses, healthcare assistants and community team administrators ensuring that professional standards of practice and behaviours are always upheld whilst also acting as a role model. You will be responsible for facilitating the management and support of palliative care patients to ensure the pathway is seamless and high quality identifying, acting on any risks and ensuring we meet the standards required by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and Care Quality Commission (CQC).
You will be someone who can demonstrate advanced knowledge as an expert in palliative care and practice in holistic assessment and development and have a high level of empathetic and interpersonal skills. You will analyse complex situations and develop action plans to improve the quality of patient care and liaise with GP and District Nursing Teams to advise and deliver appropriate treatment regimes.
Requirements:
· First degree nursing qualification, or equivalent, preferably with a minimum of 20 credits in palliative care
· Registered Level 1 Adult Nurse
· Non-medical prescribing qualification
· Evidence of continuing professional development

The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will lead across Trusts & Statutory, Corporate Partnerships and Major Donors income streams, supporting the team in securing income and building relationships with institutional and philanthropic funders.
To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, you will need:
- Significant experience securing 5- & 6-figure gifts from Trusts and Statutory Funders.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with high-value donors and developing new major funding propositions.
- A track record of devising, implementing and monitoring successful fundraising strategies.
- Experience with leading a team, supporting individual members on their professional development and working collaboratively to achieve income targets.

About the role
This hands-on leadership role combines operational excellence with strong interpersonal skills. Reporting to the Director of Design and Technology, you'll manage a team of Project Managers whilst working closely with senior leadership to oversee project delivery, financial planning, organisational systems and growth.
You'll implement best practices for data management, risk management, and compliance in a collaborative way that supports our mission-driven work.

Since 2019, we've supported over 150 collectives and organisations across the UK and Ireland, working with those with disabilities, migrants and refugees, young people, carers, working class communities, LGBTQ+ collectives, those living in poverty and the intersections across those identities.

What we offer
Salary and benefits

£49,500-£62,000 salary, depending on experience.

Permanent contract with option for 4 or 5 days per week (salary and benefits will be pro-rated).
