About the role:

The Floating Support Worker will specialise in working with women for whom housing, and risk of tenancy breakdown is a priority. You will provide specialist housing and domestic abuse support to women aged 18 and over. The accommodation needs of the women you support will require you to advocate and support for each woman efficiently and empathically, whilst liaising with providers and stakeholders to ensure her accommodation needs are met. The role is dynamic and requires the post holder to respond to women with effective crisis intervention, advocacy and support. They will be required to coordinate the provision of multiagency support which focuses on working with clients to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness. The post holder will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.

The Floating Support Worker will ensure that the women survivors views and needs inform every stage of the process, and so the post holder will be empathic, empowering and able to advocate for women. You will also share your learning with your team, Advance and other stakeholders to ensure best practice is consistently achieved.

Working as part of a team of Floating Support Workers, you will make proactive contact and provide high quality non-judgemental advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment. You will be responsible for a number of women at a time and you will be their designated and consistent support worker. You will also support women and referrers at the first stage of referral by completing assessments and providing crisis intervention support as part of a ‘duty’ team with designated days for you to do this.

The Floating Support Worker will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse and the housing sectors. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information appropriately.

Experience of supporting female survivors of domestic violence with housing and accommodation needs, in partnership with other organisations, and of safeguarding procedures is essential for this post.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

· Create effective working partnerships with housing service providers and the local council to promote the Floating Support Worker Service

· Provide information, guidance and support to referral stakeholders to enable them to identify women at risk of and experiencing domestic violence, enabling them to confidently respond and refer women to the service. This may include delivery of briefings and information sessions to upskill housing workers. To continuously build awareness of the service and confidence of stakeholders in order to ensure women in need are identified and supported

· Effectively support a number of women at any one time, undertaking case management activities such as excellent assessments, action planning, referrals, and record keeping

· Conduct comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for women experiencing domestic violence, carry out short- and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support; and identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs, including attendance at specialist/dedicated courts and MARAC as required

· Develop and deliver support plans that include delivery of high-quality face to face or telephone crisis intervention, information, advocacy and support, in respect to criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, children’s legislation and other appropriate interventions. Ensure that focus on safe tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention underpins all work

· Advise women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, making referrals and co-ordinating the provision of multi-agency support where necessary, and proactively advocate ensuring barriers to accessing support and protection are minimised

· Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have, ensure that any risks/needs identified are addressed directly with the woman, and take appropriate action to safeguard them

· Proactively assess the needs and safety of women at risk proactively following Adult at Risk policies and procedures

· Participate in multi-agency conferences in respect of children and adults at risk as required, providing reports and undertaking actions as necessary

· Ensure all monitoring and evaluation for each woman, all cases and the project overall is accurate and up to date. Work in partnership with your team and the Advance Insights and Evidence team to ensure all reporting requirements are met. Highlight issues and successes in a timely manner

· Ensure that agreed case recording and monitoring systems are kept up to date and secure, and write internal and external reports where required, including for safeguarding conferences, team meetings, managers and other appropriate partners and stakeholders

· Participate in multi-agency working and focus groups when requested to do so and follow through on agreed appropriate actions that arise from these

· Work effectively as a member of your own team and as a team member of Advance supporting all organisational objectives

· Work in partnership with housing staff and provide institutional advocacy to maximise positive outcomes and use the appropriate reporting mechanisms to highlight persistent or recurring issues that arise

· Be responsible for your own personal learning development and keep up to date on research, relevant legislation, policy and practice, and other literature relevant to the role

· Participate in supervision, training and meetings as required, and assist in the development of services in line with agreed development plans

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

•To support the delivery of ‘Connected’ and monthly meetings for children and young people, and the Adoption Alliance Project (which is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund)

•To work closely with the Connected Lead Worker and the Adoption Alliance Lead to support and enable young, adopted people in North Wales to participate fully; and to support the delivery of both projects and for children and young people to participate using either Welsh or English language as they choose.

MAIN DUTIES

•To work with the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to deliver Connected sessions and Adoption Alliance services across North Wales, and in particular to assist with the groups and support young people to achieve their goals.

•To provide support to the development, delivery, and promotion of both services, including planning of an annual programme of group sessions and activities for delivery, and purchasing and preparing resources.

•To support the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead in undertaking the processing of referrals and initial engagement with young people. 

•To support the the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to work with the young people and their families to establish whether the service is appropriate for them; and to agree measurable outcomes in line with the guidance provided for the Regulated and Inspection Social Care 2016 Act for adoption services.

Central to increasing loyalty and inspiring positive action from our audience, we share the extent of the work being done by Versus Arthritis for the 10 million people in the UK living with arthritis. Alongside product managers, you will work to optimise in-product journeys across the organisation through consultancy and shared learning. You will work collaboratively with the head of department and other directorate colleagues to create and embed a fundraising and engagement culture across the organisation.

This is a pivotal moment for FAST as the need for our work has expanded due to more young people falling into poverty and struggling in schools. Whilst capacity is a challenge with 60% cut in public youth programmes over the last decade (YMCA 2020). We are still growing strong and are able to work with 300 young people annually. About you and the role

The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School by School Programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery. 

You will be supported by our Chief Innovation Officer, and manage our Chef Trainers delivering our School by School interventions. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor. 

Your role will oversee our School by School interventions, delivered across multiple school sites. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. You will be joining a dynamic and growing charity who are passionate about delivering exceptional training, skill sharing, expertise and know-how to advance the quality of food preparation, food service and food education in schools.

The responsibilities:

• To work with the Chief Innovation Officer to ensure that all programme delivery of school interventions is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.

• To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure that programme delivery is carried out in the most effective and efficient way.

• Coordinate and oversee all programme activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.

• Managing the programme budget, identifying issues, and ensuring milestones are met. 

• Work closely with the Chief Innovation Officer, Director of Partnerships & Impact and the School Engagement Manager to assess, cost and propose suitable programmes of support for schools and multi-academy trusts interested in our School by School programme. 

• Working with the School Chef Educator and Membership teams on our regional expansion strategy, creating schools that are centres of excellence across the country.

• Working with the School Engagement Manager, attend and contribute to meetings with the Senior Leadership of prospective new schools and academies, developing proposals and financial forecasting.

• Liaise and manage relationships with the Senior Leadership in the schools and academies we work with, being the key contact for operational delivery of programmes. 

• To ensure that service level agreements are agreed with schools and that our delivery matches the agreements.

• To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Chief Innovation Officer, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery. 

• At all times to ensure that our school interventions are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.

• Work closely with the Chef Trainers to ensure our advice to, and work in, schools is legally compliant.

• Support the Chef Trainers in monitoring legal safety compliance in schools, promptly flagging major concerns to the Chief Innovation Officer and where appropriate, the key school contact.

• Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme. 

• To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.

• Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School by School programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories. 

• Work with the School Engagement Manager to maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant chef, school lead and engagement information. 

• Collaborate with the Chef Trainers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of schools. 

Your skills and experience

As Interim Director of Philanthropy and Partner Engagement, you’ll lead a high-performing team of around 15, covering major donors, principal giving, trusts and foundations, institutional funding, corporate partnerships, and gaming. Together, the team brings in around £10m of War Child’s £15–16m annual income.

You’ll report to the CEO and sit on the Senior Leadership Team, with shared responsibility for income generation, strategic planning, and organisational leadership. This is an opportunity to guide a strong team through its next phase of growth, support exciting developments already underway, and help shape the future of War Child’s fundraising.

We’re looking for a confident, strategic leader with experience at director level, or someone ready to step up from a senior head role in a complex organisation. You’ll bring a strong track record in high-value fundraising, with the credibility and judgement to operate at executive level and lead a diverse team through a period of delivery and growth.

As Interim Philanthropy and Partner Engagement Director, you will:

• Oversee and support a multi-disciplinary fundraising team spanning major donors, partnerships, gaming, principal giving, institutional funding, and events

In this way we ensure our policy and influencing work is rooted in the day-to-day experiences of women and what will make most difference to them and their babies. 

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will manage and develop all aspects of Birth Companions’ criminal justice-based services and line-manage the criminal justice services Coordinators, (currently three staff members but this likely to increase as we expand our services).

They will develop and maintain strategic partnerships with other relevant agencies and ensure the successful delivery of services through internal monitoring and evaluation, external evaluation and the charity’s governance structures.

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of new prison and wider criminal justice system-based services through stakeholder engagement and service design where opportunities are identified.

The Criminal Justice Services Manager will also contribute to the policy, engagement and strategic work of the organisation where appropriate.

Purpose Of Role

This is a newly created collaborative and integral role within the Joint Finance Team across the Dioceses of Winchester and Portsmouth. The Dioceses of Winchester and Portsmouth (DBF) act as the custodian trustee for our parishes (PCC) across both dioceses and manage funds in excess of £30m across c.620 funds.

This role will be responsible for seeking ways to identify the purposes of these funds and creating a bespoke database to assist with the day-to-day oversight.  Reporting to the Heads of Finance, the role will support the Finance Officer and Finance Assistant with the delivery of treasury functions to our parishes, through enabling prompt identification of the relevant information to enable investment transactions to take place. 

Job Summary

· Create a master list of the funds and related account details with the relevant investors. 

· Review the electronic and paper archive information for details of restrictions around funds and confirm the accuracy and completeness of the information.

· Identify funds where restrictions may no longer be relevant and provide guidance on how these may be wound up.

· Identify small / low value balances where Charity Commission rules may allow alternative action to be taken with the fund.

· Identify endowments where permission could be sought to spend the capital, if income flows are insufficient for requirements. 

· Identify any small trusts with similar purposes where there may be opportunity to combine trusts to alleviate some of the administrative burden. 

· Produce an action plan based on the findings of the above and work with the Heads of Finance to implement the plan. 

· Review the PCC annual accounts for accurate reporting of their funds, based on the details of restrictions around the funds. 

·  To provide other assistance as may occasionally be required by senior members of the Joint Finance Team.  

Key role requirements

This is an office-based 12-month fixed-term part-time role of 21 hours per week, with the expectation to work from the office 2 days per week.

You will need to be/have:

· An understanding of charity finance, different fund types and Charity Commission guidance in relation to these is essential. 

· A background in finance or bookkeeping is desirable. 

· An ability to understand and interpret legal or trust documentation is desirable. 

· Experience of Xledger accounting systems would be advantageous but not essential; experience of working with Microsoft Suite applications and financial accounting systems is essential.  

· Knowledge and experience of working in a large and complex organisation is desirable

The Team

Part of the Philanthropy Team, comprised of individuals focused on major giving, prospect research and trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will work closely with the corporate partnerships team and community and events team.

Overall Purpose of the Role
 

The Senior Prospect Research Manager will lead the Prospect Research function at the Foundation, with support and direction from the Head of Philanthropy.  
 

You will be accountable for the ongoing development and delivery of the Prospect Research strategy, BE involved in and oversight of other policies and processes related to our pipeline growth and development, involving due diligence, gift acceptance protocols, database management and business planning.  
 

The Prospect Research function will be made up of this role and one Prospect Research Manager, who will report into you. Together, you will ensure that quality prospects are identified, researched and allocated to portfolios in collaboration with the high value fundraising teams. You will lead on our approach to prospect analytics, using data to evaluate fundraiser and programme performance, spot trends and opportunities and improve the efficiency of the team’s activity.

Our fundraising department has recently entered a period of ambitious growth and will shortly be launching a significant capital campaign for our children’s hospital. 

We are investing in this pivotal role as we know it will be fundamental to our success in this campaign and beyond. This is an incredibly exciting time to join as our Senior Prospect Research Manager, and the right candidate would have significant scope and autonomy to shape this role and our future Prospect Research strategy.

Working Environment:

• Lead on the prospect research and development strategy for a significant capital campaign, which will involve increasing the volume and capacity of our pipeline. This role will drive forward this campaign prospecting strategy, alongside high value fundraisers, the Head of Philanthropy and the Director of Fundraising. Prospecting approaches will include desk research, network mapping of Trustees and other senior stakeholders, and engaging Campaign Board connections.  
• Work alongside our Legal team to implement and oversee our Due Diligence policies and processes.  
• Oversee the regular data mining of Raiser’s Edge to identify opportunities from amongst our warmest constituents.  
• Work closely with fundraising leads to develop the prospect pipeline, in particular building our networks of advocates and influencers. This will include attending meetings with clinicians and other key stakeholders. Qualify and allocate prospects identified by the team.  
• Proactively engage with market intelligence which supports the identification of prospects and philanthropic trends, and highlights opportunities for future fundraising growth. This would include regular assessment of insight on transformational donations made worldwide, high net worth individuals and philanthropic trends.  
• Undertake strategy research which supports decision making relating to fundraising. This may include competitor analysis and feasibility work.
• Advocate best practice in the recording and processing of prospect data on Raiser’s Edge, ensuring data is accurate, relevant and processed as per the team’s Data Protection Policy and in line with The Data Protection Act 1998/ the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This will include working with the data team to identify data challenges and appropriate solutions for improving prospect data quality and cleanliness.  
• Work with the Head of Philanthropy to shape annual plans which best support Fundraisings priorities.  
• Provide the highest quality research activity which adds the most value to fundraising. This might include identifying training needs and formulating training sessions for the team.  
• Regularly network with sector peers to share best practice and generate insight on the latest developments in prospect research.  
• Using data analytics techniques, implement processes and procedures which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of prospect research and prospect identification activity. 
• Support the Director of Fundraising and Head of Philanthropy in embedding a performance culture – including tracking identification, prospect movement, conversion rates and cleansing the pipeline on an ongoing basis.  
• Take a lead role in using data visualisation techniques to bring new insight to major gifts and prospect pipeline data which informs fundraising strategy. 

Experience 

• Highly experienced Prospect Research professional, ideally having led delivery of prospect research strategies  
• Experience of driving high value pipeline growth, contributing to increased income generation  
• Experience of prospect/ data analytics.

The Team

Part of the Philanthropy Team, comprised of individuals focused on major giving, prospect research and trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will work closely with the corporate partnerships team and community and events team.

Overall Purpose of the Role

The Prospect Research Manager will play an integral role in managing the growth and development of the prospect pipeline to enable the fundraising ambitions of Guy’s & St Thomas’ Charity.  
 

This role will make a significant contribution towards increasing our income by ensuring that the best potential supporters are identified, researched and allocated in collaboration with the high value fundraising teams.  

This role works across all areas of the team’s remit to deliver strategic insight on our highest-level prospects, using data science techniques to evaluate performance, spot trends and opportunities, including due diligence research, build prospect pipelines for priority fundraising projects, and work directly with fundraisers to manage prospect portfolios.  
 

Our fundraising department has recently entered a period of ambitious growth and will shortly be launching a significant capital campaign for our children’s hospital. We are investing in this pivotal role as we know it will be fundamental to our success in this campaign and beyond. This is a great opportunity for a prospect research professional who wishes to join an ambitious fundraising team at an incredibly exciting moment. 
 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and strategic prospect research and intelligence which meets the needs of our fundraising team.  
• Conduct fundraising market research, from larger prospect finding projects to prospect ratings work, donor profiles, networks research, competitor analysis and occasional work on cultivation event briefings.  
• Work closely with the Senior Prospect Research Manager to ensure the team’s workplan is updated regularly and work assigned is carried out to deadline, sharing any capacity issues or challenges where they arise. 
• Carry out due diligence research on prospective donors, producing thorough and objective reports which support fundraising decisions and ensure adherence to our gift acceptance procedures and are agreed with the legal team  
• Identify networks of clinicians and stakeholders to assess the opportunities for reaching new potential donors.  
• Work with the Senior Prospect Development Manager to undertake work arising from portfolio reviews to clean fundraising portfolios.  
• Build strong cross-team working relationships, meeting with fundraisers on a regular basis to discuss needs, manage expectations and gain feedback.  
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the Raiser’s Edge database which will include regular data mining activity, building complex queries and exports, and the creation of constituent records.  
• Advocate best practice in the recording and processing of prospect data on Raiser’s Edge, ensuring data is accurate, relevant and processed as per the team’s Data Protection Policy and in line with The Data Protection Act 2018/ the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. This will include working with the data team to identify data challenges and appropriate solutions for improving prospect data quality and cleanliness.  
• Work with the Senior Prospect Research Manager to develop annual plans which best support Fundraisings priorities.  
• Network regularly with sector peers to share best practice and generate insight on the latest developments in prospect research.  
• Alongside the Senior Prospect Research Manager, oversee prospect identification for priority fundraising projects and support team members in developing projects for prospecting.  
• Proactively engage with market intelligence which supports the identification of prospects and philanthropic trends, and highlights opportunities for future fundraising growth. This would include regular assessment of insight on transformational donations made worldwide, high net worth individuals and philanthropic trends. 

Working Environment:

The post holder should expect to: 
 

• Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.  
• Be responsible for the input and maintenance of databases and files relevant to the post requirements.  
• Will occasionally be required to attend events in the evening and at weekends. 

Role responsibilities are not exhaustive, and you would be reasonably expected to take on wider tasks that are commensurate with the level of your role.  
 

Experience 

• Delivered prospect research strategies and experience of working on prospect management activities.  
• Experience of working in the fundraising/ charity sector  
• Experience of prospect/ data analytics.  
• Experience of effective internet and electronic research with the ability to analyse and objectively assess the relevance of information to fundraising activity.
