We have an exciting career opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Officer (known locally as Marcomms Officer) to join our expert Marcomms team here at Sue Ryder.
This key role sits within our Brand & Marketing team, working across projects with our Healthcare, Income Generation and Creative teams. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation as well as building relationships with our key marketing suppliers and agencies.

The Marcomms Officer reports into a Marketing Manager and works across the Brand & Marketing team to:

• Develop effective marketing assets and campaigns for brand, healthcare and income generation.
• Work closely with in-house and external designers to deliver marketing campaigns and assets.
• Ensure brand and health marketing messaging remains consistent and on brand across all activity.
• Support the management and usage of our marketing and design tools and platforms.

• Represent the Brand & Marketing team on selected organisational working groups and actively engage with our internal networks.
• Help manage our marketing tools and platform to support usage across the organisation.
• Provide project support to our Creative Team, for example co-ordinating brand photography shoots.
• Ensure all healthcare and fundraising literature is in stock, on brand and updated in terms of content, consent, permissions and legal requirements.
• Have a clear understanding of our brand guidelines and key messaging and support embedding this across all our marketing communications.
• Build strong, internal relationships with stakeholders across Sue Ryder.
• Support the smooth running of the team administration.

• Experience of managing and delivering marketing campaigns on time and on budget

Mental Wellbeing Manager

Job Summary:

The Mental Wellbeing Manager will lead Manor Gardens’ culturally competent, trauma-informed mental health work with young men aged 18–25 funded by City Bridge Foundation, and oversee our wider wellbeing programme, funded through other sources including individual giving. They will be responsible for delivering early intervention and therapeutic support for young men from Black and minoritised backgrounds and refugees and asylum seekers, while also managing the delivery of a broader programme of community wellbeing activities for adults.

The postholder will line-manage two Activities Workers and have oversight of a pool of sessional staff and volunteers delivering peer support, group activities, and therapeutic interventions. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health, experience in group and 1-to-1 support, and a commitment to culturally competent, person-centred approaches.

Role Overview and Purpose:

The Mental Health Nurse is a key member of our team, focused on delivering high-quality mental health services to young men in the community. This role requires a proactive approach to engage with individuals who have not previously accessed mainstream mental health support, using culturally sensitive methods to build trust and promote mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. City Bridge Mental Health Programme Delivery (50%)

· Ensure the effective delivery of therapeutic and early intervention support for young men aged 18–25, including one-to-one and group support.

· Oversee work delivered by sessional psychotherapeutic staff and ensure quality, safeguarding, and continuity.

· Facilitate or coordinate safe, inclusive peer support spaces in community settings.

· Use culturally competent and trauma-informed practices to build trust and engagement among the target group.

· Conduct initial screening or assessments where appropriate and manage referrals to statutory and specialist mental health services.

· Collaborate closely with the Clinical Lead and Evaluation Lead to ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of delivery.

2. Recruit, train and support Peer Mentors

· Recruit two cohorts of 8 young bilingual adult men and women from Black, minoritised and refugee backgrounds, who have lived experience of mental ill health, exploitation, violence or traumas related to their experience of migration.

· Oversee the accredited training of 16 young adults as Peer Mental Health Mentors (two cohorts) in partnership with CANDI and ensure additional training in safeguarding, cultural competency and equalities

· Provide 121 support to Peer Mental Health Mentors and ensure they access clinical supervision

3. Management of Wellbeing Team and Sessional Staff (20%)

· Line-manage two Activities Workers responsible for delivering adult wellbeing activities (e.g. gardening, yoga, ESOL, conversation cafés).

· Provide supervision, direction, and support to ensure delivery aligns with MGWT’s values and trauma-informed approach.

· Oversee a pool of sessional facilitators and volunteers, ensuring coordination, safeguarding, and quality of delivery.

· Support co-production and ensure wellbeing activities are shaped by the voices of service users with lived experience.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation (10%)

· Maintain accurate records of all therapy sessions, assessments, and referrals.

· Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of mental health interventions.

· Work with partners at Metropolitan University to ensure the external evaluation of the service.

· Contribute to the development of evaluation reports and share findings with key stakeholders including the All-Age Mental Health Partnership Board and Locality Leadership Boards.

5. Partnerships and Community Engagement (5%)

· Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners (e.g. CANDI, MIND, housing providers, youth and refugee organisations).

· Represent MGWT in borough-wide forums (e.g. All-Age Mental Health Partnership Board, Bright Lives Alliance).

· Promote the service through local outreach, events, and communication with community partners.

6. Organisational and Other Duties (5%)

· Contribute to MGWT-wide initiatives and cross-organisational learning and planning.

· Attend internal meetings, training, and working groups.

· Undertake other duties as reasonably required to support the effective functioning of MGWT services.

· A recognised qualification in mental health or psychological support (e.g. RMN, PGDip in Psychotherapy or Counselling, Occupational Therapy (Mental Health), or other UK-recognised accreditation).

· Experience delivering trauma-informed and culturally competent support.

· Proven experience facilitating group and 1-to-1 support in community settings.

· Understanding of structural and cultural barriers to accessing mental health support.

We specialise in working with people with visual impairments facilitating outdoor adventures, social connection and access to specialist coaching. We are seeking a Dementia Carers Support Officer who can make a positive difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the diverse communities of Redbridge. We are a Queen's Award winning charity with over 30 years experience of supporting unpaid carers in Redbridge. The post holder will focus on supporting carers of someone with dementia, by providing them with advice, information, referrals and access to peer social and learning activities.  The role requires an understanding of health and social care services, particularly in relation to support for unpaid carers and someone who can show compassion and understanding to carers in crises or facing complex challenges.  A key outcome is ensuring carers can live a healthy and fulfilling life alongside caring and not be at risk of acute isolation.

Learn English at Home (LEAH) is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and driven individual to support our fundraising efforts and help us grow our impact. If you're passionate about social justice and want to be part of a small, values-led charity working to break down language barriers for sanctuary seekers, this could be the role for you.

The Marsh Christian Trust (MCT) is looking for an Assistant to join a small, dynamic team and support the day-to-day running of the organisation. • Assist carers in accessing opportunities for breaks from caring through activities within the partner organisations and external agencies

Key duties and reponsibilities:

Management Role

· Based on the policies of the charity as defined by the Trustees Board (created Oct 2022 AGM), manage the affairs of the charity with due respect for its heritage, status and independence.

· Within those defined policies, take decisions that allow the development of its business activities, liaising with other Trustees as necessary, and report to the Trustees on a regular basis.

· When necessary, liaise on allocation of duties to other Trustees on a cooperative basis.

· Represent the charity at occasional public events and meetings with collaborative partners and in negotiations, e.g. NICE, ARTP, Sleep Clinics.

· Act as main point of external contact and manage that contact as appropriate.

· Take purchasing decisions within the defined responsibility of the position.

· Modernise and develop the SATA business on as cost efficient basis as possible — goal is generally self-financing.

· Explore business opportunities as appropriate. 

· Identify risk, consult with other officers and recommend action for Board decision.

· Finalise move to paperless operation.

Administrative Duties

· Arrange Trustee Board Meetings.

· Manage Membership Database.

· Administer Membership Renewals.

· Register & acknowledge new memberships.

· Handle resignations, deaths and other membership issues with appropriate respect.

· Acknowledge Donations.

· Administer Gift Aid claim with Treasurer.

Leeds Citizens Advice & Law Centre has been providing free and independent advice for more than 80 years, offering access to justice for people experiencing disadvantage or discrimination. In November 2024, we joined the Law Centres Network and have secured funding to expand our legal advice service.

We’re looking for a Solicitor or CILEx to supervise our housing advice team and legal aid contract. The team offers complex casework and representation to clients facing possession, eviction, serious disrepair and housing issues related to DAV and to anti-social behaviour. You will have 3 years’ PQE in housing law and be able to manage a wide range of cases, as well as experience of working under a legal aid contract, supervising caseworkers, and meeting targets.

About the role:

This role is based In Pontypool Police Station however we have currently adopted a hybrid model. As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally. Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Ensure that support plans are developed with clients where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
• Provide accurate and timely performance information for internal and external use.
• Work with the client and other statutory and voluntary agencies to address the identified needs.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Ensure that all clients are of aware of their rights under the Victim's Code of Practice and the Witness Charter.
• To work alongside a team of staff (and volunteers where applicable) to reflect the diverse community and the needs of the victims, including those with particular vulnerabilities, utilising national and local resources to deliver individual, bespoke services with respect, dignity and sensitivity.
• Comply and keep up to date with data protection legislation, confidentiality and organisational policies and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that all outcomes and KPI measures are met relevant to the local contract.

You will need:

• To demonstrate a good understanding and use of the English language both verbally and in writing Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to undertake impact and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
• Experience of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults.
• The ability to manage a demanding workload and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines.
• The ability to identify, develop and maintain partnerships with all relevant external organisations.
• Excellent telephone and IT skills required to use a database and undertake all administrative and reporting requirements.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team but also to work independently in a variety of locations without direct supervision.
