We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Volunteer Team Leader to join our team. You will join us working 21 hours per week on a permanent basis and will be based at our National Cat Adoption Centre in Chelwood Gate. In return you will receive a salary of up to £16,444.20 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Rota includes working every other weekend, pattern below:

Week 1: 3 x 7hr days (mon – fri)

Week 2: 1 x 7hr day (mon – fri) and2 x 3.5hr day (sat & sun)

Responsibilities of our Volunteer Team Leader:

As Volunteer Team Leader you will promote and co-ordinate volunteering for the centre. You will develop contacts internally and externally e.g., with volunteers, employees, and the wider Volunteering Department.  You will recruit, train, schedule and support a team of diverse volunteers to enhance the smooth running of the Centre service in all aspects of its work.

The Regional Fundraisers role is to mobilise and maximise local fundraising activities in order to raise income to support the work of the charity.  Working to the Director of Fundraising and with other senior fundraising staff, develop and implement a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy to maximize income generation and donor engagement within the region.  You will be required to be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity as well as identify, cultivate, and grow relationships with community groups, schools, individuals, and corporate donors within the region, focusing on donor retention and growth.  You will also organise and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives within your region, including virtual and in-person events when applicable.

This is a home-based role covering a designated geographical area which you are required to live within, or be willing and able to relocate to.  There will be extensive travel across the region with the potential to be based in a local visitor centre at least 2 days per week.

South East – within a 50 mile radius of Snetterton, Norfolk

You will be a natural project manager with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.  You will need strong networking and interpersonal skills. You will work in a flexible and collaborative manner and be willing to travel within your designated area and across the UK as required.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

 We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties

This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.

The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising Overview

1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
3. Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.

Supporter Engagement and Stewardship

1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
2.  To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3.  Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.
4.  Develop and implement Fundraising groups across the UK

Database Management

1. To ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
2.  Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
3.  Train other staff members to support general fundraising.
4.  Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.
5.  Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.

 Individual Giving

1. Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
2. Lead the growth of CT100 monthly giving.
3. Work with the Press and PR Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.

Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns

1. Work alongside teams and PR and Communications Manager to promote The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the PR and Communications Manager.
3. Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside PR and Communications Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses and individuals

Staff and Volunteers

1. Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
2.  Work closely with Head of Operations and PR and Communications Manager  to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.

Wider organisational responsibilities

1. Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.
2. Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Operations.
3. Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of The Cinnamon Trust
4. Perform all the duties required by the post in line with The Trust’s ethos and values statement, its commitment to a policy of equal opportunity and its aim of serving the community in a caring and practical manner.
5. Carry out other duties as agreed by the Chief Executive Officer.

What you'll do:

As the Individual Giving Manager, you'll execute the agreed strategy for soliciting cash gifts from individual donors. Crafting compelling narratives showcasing the impact of their contributions will be central to your role. Here's what you'll be up to:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supporter Relations Officer to join our team, based at one of our 21 rehoming centres.

The role of the Supporter Relations Officer (SRO) is to promote the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups in their catchment area and to support them accordingly. They provide a vital link to the community, stewarding supporters wherever they may be on their Dogs Trust journey. This is done by handling local supporter legacy and Canine Care Card enquiries, as well as in memory donations.

The SRO spends time in the community, visiting local businesses and people, as well as organising community talks to relevant audience groups. They organise supporter events and tours at the rehoming centres throughout the year and are also part of the team organising and attending events with the Dogs Trust Village.

As the role is primarily customer-facing, the SRO is based at the rehoming centre. However, they spend a portion of their time in local communities. This role also involves frequent travel, both locally and across the UK, including some overnight stays, as well as weekend and evening work. A full UK manual driving licence is essential.

The successful candidate will have experience in a public facing role and a passion and commitment to the work and aims of Dogs Trust. They will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to develop and prioritise their own workload, working well under pressure and to deadlines.

We now have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Cloud Administrator to provide 3rd level project and helpdesk support, acting as an escalation point for the support team. This opportunity is integral to providing consistent IT support across all three of our centres.

• Ensure Gift Aid is claimed and validated against Gift Aid declarations
• Proactively ensure the integrity of the CRM is maintained to a suitably high standard
• Work with colleagues to understand their requirements and perform the selection and segmentation of data for appeals, communications and reporting
• Work with colleagues to continually improve the quality, accuracy, and usability of the donor and advocacy databases

Provide assistance to the Development team

• Assist with the production of the quarterly supporter newsletter; making data selections, writing/proofing copy, and liaising with suppliers
• Steward the charity’s cohort of community fundraising ambassadors and challenge event participants, supporting them to achieve their fundraising targets
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the fundraising and marketing strategies, and the development of new products and campaigns
• Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required

As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will spearhead the expansion of our Corporate and Community Giving portfolio. Finance Officer – Sales Ledger

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week (1 fte)
Location: Hybrid - to be based at our Head Office, East Lulworth, Wareham. Dorset with some opportunity for home working
Salary: Scale C - £28,148 - £32,519 depending upon experience plus 8% employer pension contribution

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to join the Finance Team as a Finance Officer working on the sales ledger.

The post holder will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, processing income types including membership fees, grants and donations. They will be required to collaborate with Butterfly Conservation’s branches, reconcile income and maintain control accounts. Duties will also include being responsible for handling invoicing and banking procedures maintaining strict financial controls whilst also demonstrating exceptional customer service.

You will have proven financial experience preferably having worked within a charitable setting focusing on sales ledger management. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and financial software are also essential requirements of the postholder together with effective communication skills when liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Flexibility will also be required to support system implementations and covering other work within the department, when required.

Job purpose

This is a pivotal senior administration role in a charity that is passionate about making a difference to the veterinary care that animals receive. You’ll be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, with the trustee board and with all members of the staff team of about 20 people. The role is responsible for co-ordinating essential governance activities, including preparing, collating and distributing meeting information packs, writing minutes and managing actions following trustee and committee meetings. You’ll also provide diary management support to the Chief Executive and carry out a varied range of administrative tasks – from arranging team meetings to organising the charity’s award and grant-giving programmes.

Responsibilities

Governance and executive support

• Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, including proof reading and formatting documents, diary management, coordinating meetings and production of agendas and minutes
• Take minutes for trustee board and committee meetings, and any other meetings as requested by the Chief Executive Officer
• Organise in-person and virtual trustees meeting as well as other governance meetings as required
• Work with the trustees, Chief Executive Officer, RCVS finance team and legal advisors, ensuring legal returns and RCVS Knowledge governing documents are in order and submitted in good time to Companies House and the Charity Commission
• Maintain declaration of interest documentation and ensure that governance and compliance-related records are up-to-date
• Own the charity’s policy register, ensuring all policies are reviewed regularly and are up to date
• Carry out finance administration for the Senior Team as required, including purchasing items, collating receipts, assigning budget codes, and processing expense claims for trustees
• Provide administrative support around donations and gifts-in-will
• Manage the diary of the Chief Executive Officer, including arranging travel and accommodation when necessary

Project support

• Organise RCVS Knowledge awards (Plowright Prize, Quality Improvement Awards, Antimicrobial Stewardship Awards, etc.), including liaising with award panels, processing applications, and administration around the review and identification of award winners
• Arrange associated meetings and events for the awards

General administration

• Act as the first point of contact for RCVS Knowledge, monitoring generic inboxes and taking phone calls as required
• Manage the administrative functions of the office, for example arranging guest access for visitors when required and administering and dealing with room bookings
• Maintain and develop administrative systems, such as record management and document control
• Update records on our customer relationship management (CRM) system
• Organise and schedule meetings and awaydays, including setting the agenda and taking minutes
• Support the recruitment of new staff, including training and induction
• Provide administrative and project support to the wider RCVS Knowledge team as required
