The client is looking for a Qualified Accountant, preferably with a charity sector background.
The charity has income of Approx £11million which is a mixture of Restricted and Non-Restricted.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will be:
To ensure effective support and delivery of organisational objectives, theis position plays a critical role in maintaining an efficient month end, ensuring accurate financial data, preparation of financial reports, carrying out the annual/audit process.
* Coordinate with country offices to consolidate financial data and ensure consistency, accuracy and transparency of financial reporting.
* Operating a smooth and disciplined month end with all balance sheet accounts reconciled and full monthly management pack and management accounts submitted to the Global Head of Finance.
* Preparation of full management accounts, analysis and presentation of accurate financial reports, including income/expenditure statements, balance sheet, cash flow statements, KPIs and forecasting.
* Monitor budgets, track expenditure, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Provide guidance and support to budget holders in budget development, cost control, and financial accountability.
* Coordinate with the Finance Business Partners to prepare/review restricted donor financial reports, ensuring the data reflects the records on the accounting system and meets donor compliance.
* Work with the Head of Global Finance to prepare the financial statements and manage the year end audit process/relationship.
* Work closely with the Head of Global Finance to support the annual budget process including interim forecasts and cash flows.

Key responsibilities
- Manage the development, delivery and evaluation of the new brand platform and campaigns.
- Support the roll out of the brand platform across the charity.
- Develop and implement media plans and creative assets for campaigns.
- Lead day-to-day relationships with media and creative agencies.
- Line manage the Brand Marketing Officer.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting and phasing of spend.
- Stay abreast of the latest consumer and marketing trends.
You will need:
- Significant experience of integrated campaign delivery and measurement.
- Experience of working with high-profile brands to develop and implement brand marketing strategies.
- A strong understanding of the media landscape.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and consultative skills.
- The ability to prioritise and deliver high quality work under pressure.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.

We've recently implemented an innovative national Rehoming & Fostering team structure, enhancing our ability to support pets in need. As Centre Manager, you'll lead the development of this exciting change and play a vital role in making a difference for pets and their owners.
Established in 1986, our Bromsgrove Rehoming Centre has been a cornerstone of support for pets and their owners, serving as a vital resource in the community.
Located in 9 acres of rural countryside, our Bromsgrove rehoming centre provides care for up to 15 dogs and 30 cats onsite, complemented by a dedicated puppy and kitten unit. Through our Home Direct scheme and foster network, we are dedicated to ensuring every pet finds a loving home, while providing essential support to pet owners.
In this role, you'll oversee rehoming and fostering services, ensuring growth while maintaining the highest standards of care. You'll lead a team of dedicated individuals, including both employees and volunteers, who are the backbone of our centre.
Your role is crucial in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where each team member can excel. With your leadership skills and experience, you'll empower our team to thrive in their roles and contribute to our shared vision of animal welfare excellence.
This role comes with option of onsite accommodation—a three-bedroom house with two reception rooms and a small private garden.

Knowledge, skills, and experience
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams within animal welfare settings.
- Deep understanding of animal welfare and care, ensuring operational excellence.

Although not essential, it would be great if you also had:

- Experience of keeping up to date with and applying good practice in your sector/role and encouraging those that you manage to do the same.
- IT literate with good experience of MS Office and other relevant IT systems as appropriate for the role.
- Understanding of safeguarding issues.
