The purpose of this role is to support NEON’s work to build organising capacity in UK social movements, including through NEON’s Worker-led Transition project. You will:

• Build support for a worker-led transition in the climate movement and communities, with an emphasis on local and regional coalition and capacity-building in key industrial regions, as well as strengthening relationships with the trade union movement

• Co-deliver organising trainings and provide longer-term organising coaching for social movement organisations across a range of issues, to build their organising skills and capacity, and using tools and content developed through our Transformative Organising Programme

• Provide responsive support to movement organisations when they need it most, offering strategic and organising advice and resources

We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Bristol City Robins Foundation Youth Mentor.

This is a 1-year fixed-term contract with a view to an extension in 2025.

Our youth mentor will work with young people in South Bristol and beyond. The role will see trusting relationships built between known young people in the community, support the young people and help guide them into positive provision or employment. The focus will be on the number of positive hours these young people can spend with their mentors and away from negative influences in their lives.

Your main responsibilities:

• Delivery of targeted 1-2-1 work with young people.
• Delivery of targeted individual and small group work with young people in schools.
• Develop positive relationships between you and the young people to ensure you get the best outcomes.
• Collect and store data to evidence the impact of the 1-2-1 work and mentoring to ensure it is sustainable and continues to change the lives of the young people we work with.
• To be part of developing our mentoring strategy and ensure we meet the needs of young people in Bristol now and in the long term.
• To use early intervention where possible and to provide long-term opportunities and pathways, working with clear evidence of need and agreed success criteria.
• Work closely with parents/carers and professionals to support the needs of their young people.
• Building new relationships with local schools, youth organisations and other agencies to increase capacity and referrals into programmes.

You will have:

• An understanding of the issues young people face, specifically in relation to young people in areas of deprivation.
• Experience in working with targeted groups or individuals in areas of deprivation through building positive relationships and mentoring.
• An understanding of safeguarding and health and safety in a youth work setting.

The Network Systems Manager maintains an overview of all DCS (Data Collection System) related activity and is responsible for ensuring that the development, maintenance and technical changes are conducted succinctly and delivered successfully in line with strategic goals across the entire organisation.

The role 

You’ll bring energy and enthusiasm to the team, ensuring financial functions are carried out efficiently, effectively, accurately and in a timely way to enable us to focus on achieving our charitable mission.

The focus of the role will be on managing and improving financial processes, ensuring that the Senior Leadership Team have up-to-date and accurate records for reporting to the Board, supporting the programmes and philanthropy teams with accurate fund reports and preparing the accounts for audit each year.  You will work closely with the whole team of staff and volunteers, but you will work most closely with the Operations Director and the Finance Manager.

Key Areas of Responsibility 

1. Treasury and Investment Management

· Monitor endowment investments and provide calculations and support in relation to total return

· Prepare quarterly investment management report

· Treasury management to maximise our investment returns

2. Bookkeeping and Management Accounts

· Work with the Finance Manager to ensure donations are properly recorded on our CRM and in Sage

· Work with the Finance Manager to reconcile bank accounts monthly

· Preparing monthly management reports, noting significant variances with forecasts

· Monitor outstanding debtors, and with line manager approval, chase overdue debtors

· Prepare fund balances when required by the programmes team to support grant-making

· Presentation of management accounts to board and engagement with board members as required

3. Annual Accounts

The Regional Road Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing IAM RoadSmart's operational service in Scotland, NI, and the North of England. This includes managing the field service north team. We are looking for an aspirational and motivated individual to lead an innovative national initiative that will shape the health’s sector response to perpetrators of domestic abuse.

We would particularly welcome applications from individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and across all protected characteristics, particularly from people from the following under-represented groups:  

• Black and minoritised people  
• Disabled people

We always welcome and support applications from those who have personal experience of domestic abuse.
