Age UK are recruiting for a Senior Influencing Project Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract.
We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.
This exciting opportunity will also take on responsibility for managing our response to the Pandemic Inquiry and relationship with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This is initially a 12-month role, with the possibility of extending to 24 months depending on project funding.
The successful Senior Strategic Influencing Manager will take the lead in designing and delivering these complex projects, including management of external partners, consultants or agencies and internal teams as required. The role will work closely with the Policy Lead, Clinical Lead and Head of Health Influencing to coordinate and drive delivery of the organisation's goals and strategic priorities across health and care.
This hybrid role, known as a Senior Strategic Project Manager within the charity, offers flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub. Occasional travel may also be required to attend meetings, workshops etc.

Must haves:
- Experience of leading complex projects to deliver a combination of research, policy and practice/ service development outputs.

Programme Overview
The Refugee Employability Programme is a new initiative that offers enhanced support to defined cohorts of legally recognised refugees in the UK. Primary Duties and responsibilities:
As Case Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the front-line support to customers on the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme, ensuring that they receive excellent service which is compliant with all Home Office requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Take responsibility for engaging with potential customers, explaining eligibility and bringing in referrals to the programme as part of a coordinated team approach.
· Be accountable for your caseload of assigned customers and working with them to address their learning, integration and employment needs in line with both contractual requirements and the individual’s needs. This will include:
o Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.
o Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs.

For this role, your caseload will be received from the NHS.
It is recognised that secure and appropriate employment is a key factor for improved mental health, therefore, you will form part of that individual’s wider support team in providing the specialist employment support element. You will be expected to work closely with referring partners, meeting regularly to feedback on the progress with individual service users. You will also need to work with local organisations; developing a bank of employers who are willing to explore supporting your clients, securing work placement opportunities, identifying any necessary training, sourcing competitive roles and, where this is successful, providing in-work support to both employer and employee to ensure a smooth transition.

If you are an employment advisor with an understanding of working with more complex clients, we would like to hear from you. We are also open to applications from those who are newer to IPS. About the role.
Head of Fundraising is one of the most critical and most challenging roles in the organisation and requires a highly skilled relationship builder.
You’ll be responsible for all fundraising activities and will hold key relationships with the biggest companies in the world.
By providing excellent stewardship and engagement opportunities you’ll ensure these vital partners continue to contribute towards online child safety.
You’ll secure not only industry buy-in and participation but the funding required to carry out the research, advocacy and policy work Internet Matters carry out.
You’ll also develop and implement the fundraising strategy across core funding streams, primarily through existing partners but also:
- Grants
- Commissioned research and policy work
- Securing new corporate partners
Each relationship with partners is bespoke and highly valued.
You’ll work to ensure these partnerships are long-term and mutually beneficial, spotting opportunities to deepen relationships and for business development to generate revenue for the charity outside of fundraised income.

By its nature, the work of Internet Matters is fast-moving and responsive to new issues and technologies that emerge so this postholder must be adaptable.
