We are looking for supervisors to work across weekdays and Saturdays and would be interested in talking to anyone who is interested in working for the service on a full time, part time, flexible or sessional basis.
Your impact
You will be working closely with the Team Manager and Hertfordshire Children’s Services to provide a safe, happy and positive experience for families, children and young people who have been referred to the service. You will provide Supervised Contact for those referred to the service by their Social Workers and will provide a safe and welcoming environment where families are able to build trusting relationships and where appropriate receive support, advice and guidance.
Your skills
You will have excellent communication skills including the ability to work with families in conflict, build their trust and respect, and recognise the importance of remaining impartial, objective and focused on the needs of the child/children/young person at all times.
You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of safe working practices, risk assessment and risk management.
You will have excellent written skills, in particular being able to create reports of sessions which are objective, factual and reflect the needs of the Social Worker and court.
You will be a team player who is flexible, and enthusiastic about being an integral part of a newly formed and aspirational team which is focused on the Family Action values of Can Do, Excellence, Mutual Respect and People Focus.

Make a difference
This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.
The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.
You should be an excellent communicator and able to motivate and empower others. This is a full-time role.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.

We are hiring a Mental Health Floating Support Coordinator to support our Luton Service which delivers support to individuals living within the community who have support needs pertaining to their mental health and wellbeing. The service works alongside statutory services, with the aim of moving people on to independent living within two years. You will empower and motivate our residents and participants to achieve their personal goals and gain greater independence, which enables them to reintegrate into the community and lead fulfilling lives. The support offered is tailored to the individual needs of the participants and residents through a recovery based model.

KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience is required
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, including in the criminal justice field, mental health, and/or substance misuse or a good understanding of the sector
- Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
- Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others
What we would like, but not essential:
- Appropriate qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice, or professional equivalent
- Experience of providing housing support and a practical assistance within a residential or outreach support role

Case Manager for Drive DVA Programme
Position: DRIVE Case Manager
Location: Thames Valley - Buckinghamshire
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract: Full-time, 3 days working from home, 2 days in the office in Milton Keynes
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Case Manager to deliver the Drive Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) programme. This role involves working one-on-one with perpetrators identified as high risk through MARAC and the Thames Valley Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panel (DAPP). The aim is to secure engagement, influence behavioural change, and link perpetrators to complementary services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion organisational values of ambition, compassion, innovation, and integrity.
- Develop and implement strategic individual intervention plans in collaboration with existing agencies.
- Work closely with Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) to review risks, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes.
- Manage long-term outcomes by working with each service user for 3-12 months to achieve behaviour change.
- Engage proactively with multi-agency settings to ensure a coordinated response.
Essential Experience:
- Direct work with vulnerable service users.
- Experience in public protection/safeguarding multi-agency settings (e.g., Child Protection, MARAC, MAPPA).
- Proficiency in managing safeguarding issues and procedures.
- Strong skills in writing and presenting information to varied audiences.
- Experience in working within legislative frameworks and encouraging partnership working.
- Conflict management experience.
- Reliable reporting and meeting deadlines.
Desirable Experience:
- Work with victims and/or perpetrators of domestic abuse.
- Experience with service users with complex needs and/or challenging behaviour.
- Background in mental health, substance misuse, or working with young people aged 16-25.
- Familiarity with pro-social modelling and motivational interviewing.

The Carers Support Officers specifically: -
1) Provide Carers with advice and support to improve the quality of their lives and the person they care for:
This will include:
a) Completing current procedure for Carers’ Assessments and to support Carers through the Assessment process.
b) Offering Carers the opportunity to take up other services offered by KCC such as coffee mornings and Holistic Therapies.
c) Providing an empathetic and supportive ear to Carers about the difficulties they may be experiencing. Remind carers that we are here to provide a listening ear and offer our counselling service if appropriate.
d) To signpost Carers to relevant voluntary and statutory organisations.
2) Keep up-to-date with services, benefits and organisations relevant to Carers.
3) To assist in the promotion of the work of the organisation by use of media, talks, presentations, displays etc.
4) Make links with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations.
5) Use any of the above opportunities to identify hidden Carers and
Casework
1) Work on behalf of Carers both by phone and in writing to help them to obtain the services they need.
2) Make home-visits as necessary to carry out this aspect of the work and initial support to new carers via home visit with the agreement of line manager.
3) Liaise with other advice/advocacy organisations to develop and maintain referral systems.
4) Complete all the necessary administrational tasks related to the role including updating all contacts on the database.

Administration and Monitoring
1) Complete contacts on the database for every interaction with each carer. All phone calls, drop ins, home visits letters, emails and texts to have a separate contact.
2) Ensure attendees at group events whether in house or at another venue complete the signing in sheet. Complete the register for these events on the database if requested to do so.
3) Add names to waiting lists for trips and events following the standard procedure. Make appointments for carers to attend holistic therapies following the standard procedure.
4) Write up case studies and other reports as requested by line manager.
5) To be primarily self-servicing including word processing letters, keeping appropriate records of work undertaken, write reports and complete monitoring forms.
6) All of the above are necessary for management to produce statistics and other monitoring reports to comply with funders requests outlined in the main contract and other sources of funding.
General Tasks
1) To work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of Knowsley Carers Centre.

About the role
Every woman who comes to a Smart Works centre is referred by another organisation or charity. Across the UK, over 400 organisations refer women to Smart Works, including job centres, refuges, prisons, work programme providers and other charities.
Without our referral partners, Smart Works would not be able to reach women in need and help them to succeed at interview and start a new chapter. Building and nurturing these partnerships is central to our work and success as a charity.
Based at our centre in Reading, you will work and travel across Berkshire to conduct outreach to ensure Smart Works receives consistent referrals and performs well against our ambitious targets to help more women year on year. in practice, this will include attending meetings with partners, organising events to showcase our service and managing all referral communications.
You will be part of the wider service delivery team in Reading, supporting on the running of the centre to the highest possible standard. This will enable you to understand and speak to the support available to unemployed women in Berkshire and what specifically Smart Works Reading can do to increase this support.
Smart Works Reading has an umbrella organisation, Smart Works Charity based in London, and there may be some infrequent travel to London. There will be liaison with the London team to support induction and training, plus participation in regular on-line meetings, phone calls and attending our annual conferences.
Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will lead a range of activities, including:
- Managing referral partner relationships across Berkshire, nurturing existing relationships and onboarding new partnerships
- Undertake research and creating project plans to set briefs or funding to engage referral partners
- Organise, deliver and attend events across Berkshire that increase referrals to Smart Works Reading
- Analyse and manage a robust database of current referral data and potential referral partners, to identify opportunities, priorities and share successes
- Share regular, engaging communications with referral partners
- Pilot new initiatives and ideas with referral partners to increase and maintain engagement
- Support the smooth running of the Reading centre, such as by answering calls and booking appointments
Skills, knowledge, and personal attributes
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A proven track record of managing relationships and partnerships
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with an adaptable style to suit seniority levels and stakeholders in a variety of situations
- Confident in representing Smart Works, including presenting in person to large groups, in writing to potential partners and over the phone
