EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO has been fundrasing for over two decades, to enable girls living in the High Atlas mountains to access fulltime education, by providing boarding accomodation near to their senior schools.  Five of our six houses were destroyed in the September 2023 High Atlas earthquake. Miraculously they were all empty at the time of the disaster. Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, EFA has substantial funds to support an extensive program of rebuilding

As Finance & Operations Administrator you will have a key role to play working closely with the trustees and Head of Fundraising & Communications to co-ordinate activities,  to ensure day to day operations in the UK run smoothly.  

The role as advertised covers a broad range of activities. However there will be peaks and troughs of workload. 

This job is for you if you are:

-  A qualified accountant or bookkeeper with experience of Xero ideal (training can be provided).

- Confident working with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) & Shared drive (eg, GoogleDocs).

- Comfortable working with a variety of IT packages, or learning how to do so 

- Very organised, able to take the initiative, able to work independently.

- Experienced working in a small but ambitious organisation, or are confident you can adapt to such an environment

- Able to be flexible in terms of work load.

In a typical month you’ll:

-  Support the Chair of Finance; preparing monthly accounts. Processing receipts and payments for bank reconciliation; invoices and expense claims.   Filing finance documentation. Maintian the restricted v unrestricted donation records, Gift Aid schedules, HMRC returns.

-  Support  the Head of Fund Raising and Communications, liaising with donors (sending receipts, requests for information), researching potential donors, preparing grant applications, ordering brochures and marketing information. Acting as a day to day point of contact. 

- Support the Chair and Vice Chair of Trustees;  helping to prepare and distribute monthly meeting agendas, supporting papers, co-ordinating virtual meeting schedule, drafting and distributing minutes, .- 

-  Support the Chair of Governance ensuring Trustee and Staff Handbooks (policies and protocols), risk register, are uptodate and accessible via the website portal. Lead the administration process for the recruitment of trustees and staff, including the preparation of candidate packs, advertising, induction. Oversight of the EFA Partnership Agreements.

- Support the Chair of Educaton re liaison with relevant external auditors (safeguarding, health and safety, risk). Linking with Moroccan partners to agree on timing and arrangements for audit visits. Ensuring reports are available to trustees as agreed. 

- General ad hoc support to trustees, staff and external stakeholders as required.

Salary: £24,000£30,000 per annum. Pro Rata 0.3

The role of the Outreach & Development Worker is to ensure carers of all ages and backgrounds are aware of their rights and know how to receive support from Gaddum and other services they need at the right time for them.

The job holder will provide outreach & support sessions, deliver groups and events for carers and other relevant partners across Salford. Creating exciting new opportunities for carers through networking and building partnerships.

The role will focus on the outreach provision, being based in different locations across Salford including hospitals, community venues, mental health settings and others accessed by people with caring responsibilities. The role will include supporting the continued development of the service, assisting with the creation of resources and training. The role will also support our involvement offer; ensuring carers are at the forefront of service change and service delivery.

About this key role
A key member of the St Giles Yorkshire team, as well as our Central SOS+ team, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering 1-2-1 educational sessions to children and young people on topics such as grooming, weapons awareness, the reality of prison, gangs, county lines and child sexual exploitation. You’ll also need to work closely with partner agencies and attend multi-agency meetings and support the design and development of new sessions and materials. What we are looking for

• Experience of engaging with challenging children and young people, e.g., those with complex needs, who are reluctant to discuss their needs or who are angry and confused
• A track record gained working with socially excluded children, young people and adults, including delivering/facilitating sessions to groups – especially socially excluded children and young people in schools or similar settings
• Knowledge of gangs, knife crime and patterns of offending in West Yorkshire or a similar area, plus a proven ability to negotiate and network with partner agencies to establish links to further the aims of a project
• An Education and Training and/or Mentoring Level 3 qualification, or similar, or a willingness to work towards this
• A flexible and collaborative approach, a positive attitude, emotional resilience, confidence when speaking in front of a group and a flair for planning sessions using a variety of resources

We are delighted to have secured funding to set up and establish a robust impact and data collection process and database so that clear outcomes can be measured and collected for the different areas within our adoption support services. This is a new role and the postholder will play a key part in delivering on this work.

Working alongside Adoption Support colleagues, the Database Officer will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the database, ensuring data is kept up to date as well as inputting, monitoring and evaluating data and service user details.  They will also contribute to the collection of feedback and case studies from service users.

The Database Officer will produce comprehensive and tailored reports using both qualitative and quantitative data, derived from the new monitoring and evaluation system.  These evidence-based reports are produced for a variety of audiences and will contribute to evidencing the effectiveness of PACT’s adoption support services.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in an administrative support role, with database and/or data capture administration experience.  To succeed in this role, you will be proficient in producing reports from a database with a keen eye for accuracy and detail and have strong data analysis skills with an ability to derive meaningful insights.

• Some very occasional weekend and evening work may be required.

In the right candidate we are looking for someone who can evidence the following: 

• At least 1 year’s previous experience in a support setting. Preferred experience of working with people who have been affected by abuse, trafficking, homelessness, mental health, complex needs, offenders and/or refugees. 

• Awareness of Trauma Informed Practice. 

• Proven knowledge of working with community organisations and signposting to different services. 

• Ability to advocate for the needs of those we work with. 

• Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process. 

• An empathetic and compassionate outlook, whilst being able to maintain professional boundaries with those you work with. 

• The ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships.  

• Able to react effectively to highly pressured situations. 

• Strong communication skills with proven writing ability. 

• Discretion and work in accordance with the Data Protection Act. 

• Good people skills especially with those whom English is not the first language. 

• Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to adults and children and young people.

We're looking for an inspirational person to join us as an Assistant Shop Manager in our Shelter Pop Up Shop in Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity, and we'd like you to join us to help raise vital funds for homeless and badly housed people.

You will work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure the shop looks welcoming, visually appealing and the team of volunteers are motivated and keen to engage with customers and maximise sales.

About the role

You will assist the Shop Manager in the recruitment, support and development of a strong community focused shop team and empower them to maximise Shelter's income. Representing Shelter in your local community, ensuring that you and your team share your knowledge of Shelter's cause with customers, volunteers, donors and potential Shelter clients will also be important aspects of the role. You will always ensure a safe, clean, bright and happy environment for your team to work in and for your customers to shop in, in turn attracting potential donors and volunteers.

The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House is a leading provider of palliative care services in Norfolk. We are an independent charity who delivers innovative and specialist rehabilitative therapy, end of life care and bereavement services.

Following a thorough review of our current marketing and fundraising practice, the Hospice is looking for an innovative and forward thinking Content and Media Officer to work as part of our Marketing and Communications Team. The post holder will be joining the charity at an exciting time of brand repositioning, which you will help to facilitate internally.

You will be driven, detail-oriented content creator, responsible for producing high quality outputs for our business. You will update existing material, generate novel work and identify new ways to reach audiences, appealing to group interests by creating engaging material. You will inform the strategic direction of the Hospice’s marketing as well as executing the plan and promote collaboration between internal stakeholders to ensure consistency of outputs. Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and working closely with your colleagues both clinical and non-clinical, you will champion the Hospice’s refreshed brand profile, develop media relationships and promote the leading services that the Hospice provides.
