What you will do:

Lead on the PAPYRUS social media planning and scheduling, utilising a social media management suite such as Hootsuite, or similar.

Develop the charity’s online presence by exploring new opportunities and channels to appeal to different audiences;

Produce creative designs and artwork for print and digital requirements, utilising in-house design tools and software (including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva);

To be successful in this role you will have:

A natural flair for storytelling, with the ability to create compelling, informative written content promoting the voices of lived experience.

About the role

The Access Project is an evidence-based, data driven intervention. Central to our programme are the ways in which we use data to ensure each of our students receives the provision they need, to learn about how we can improve our delivery and to evaluate our impact on our students’ university prospects. We have developed sophisticated monitoring and evaluation systems bringing together data from a variety of sources to track students’ progress (impact management) as well as ascertain their outcomes (impact evaluation). We collect data on our students’ academic and socio-demographic background, their participation on our programme and progress on our bespoke university readiness scales, and their academic results and university destinations. We use this data to intervene in real time when delivery goes off-course but also to understand how The Access Project programmes affect student outcomes and publicize this impact externally.

As part of the Strategy and Impact Team, the Data & Insights Lead will be responsible for ensuring all teams have the right data and to deliver and monitor our programme in a timely and effective way. They will manage, analyse, interpret, and present data and information, most of it recorded on our Salesforce system, to enhance the quality of delivery, maximise the achievement of outcomes by participants and ensure that the project achieves the greatest possible social impact. They will also project manage distinct pieces of work ranging from system optimization to external reporting for impact-related projects and partnerships.

Duties and responsibilities

1) Ensure the efficacy of our monitoring & reporting systems

1. Identifies required changes related to how we collect and manage data in Salesforce so that programme delivery data is available in the right format and at the right frequency to support decision making across teams and allow for accurate reporting.
2. Make recommendations for changes to the Salesforce system in line with this and support the Operations Team with reviewing options.
3. Support other teams to have the confidence and skills to effectively use our monitoring & reporting tools and processes for their specific needs.
4. Identify required improvements to our data processes (e.g. processes for collecting/collating data, for automation, etc), and project manage their implementation.

2) Coordinate the use of data to guide tactical and strategic decision-making on programme delivery and design

1. Define the key questions for our termly performance management meetings and input into the design and content of the dashboards used in these fora.
2. Process and analyse data to derive useful insights about our programme delivery and present your findings effectively to various stakeholders to inform tactical conversations around programme design and delivery.
3. Ensure data is understood and used effectively in decision-making.‘delve deeper’ into programme data to understand trends highlighted by staff, students, and school leaders.schedule performance management meetings at the right time, ensure the right stakeholders are involved, and capture and follow up actions from these meetings as required.

3) Lead other evaluation, research and reporting activities

1. Ensure that student feedback is disseminated, analysed, shared, and used to inform ongoing performance management discussions
2. Lead the data contributions throughout our annual impact evaluation process which may include the preparation of large datasets, as well as analysis and interpretation of data.
3. Drive the monitoring and evaluation of pilot projects, e.g. development of monitoring tools and processes, data analysis, systems development, etc. prepare required datasets for external impact-related reporting. This includes tasks ranging from designing data collection processes, compiling the data, continuously adapting processes, and communicating effectively with all internal stakeholders.

Caseworker

Forces Employment Charity is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Caseworker to join our team working on the CFO (Co-financing Organisation) programme in partnership with the probation service. In this role, you will provide specialist support to veterans within the criminal justice system, focused on early intervention, support and diversion to prevent re-offending. You will work closely with probation staff, partner organisations and lead providers to identify, engage and deliver emotional and practical support to veteran clients.

This is a Full-time 35 hours per week, home based role with regular attendance at Lewisham and Croydon Activity Hubs and frequent travel throughout the UK. This role has a salary £29,000 pa.

This will be a fixed term contract till 31 July 2024.

For the CFO programme, Forces Employment Charity is working in partnership with probation service staff and other partner organisations to provide specialist support for veterans in the justice system.This support is focused on early intervention, support and diversion at point of contact with justice system in order to prevent re-offending.

Our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Service aligns with the Respect Standards – a framework for safe, effective, and survivor-focused work with perpetrators of domestic abuse in the UK.  Due to specific requirements of the role (in line with Respect Standard B6) we are looking to recruit a male candidate to this post. 

The Intervention Worker will be responsible for delivering sessions (group and one to one as may be required) with people who recognise that they are or have been using power and control to abuse their partner, ex-partner or family member and who want to address this behaviour.  The Intervention Worker will undertake such sessions in a way that prioritises the safety of those at risk from domestic violence and abuse.

We are looking for someone who has experience of providing group work and/or one to one counselling and an understanding of: 

• Domestic violence and abuse and its effects on survivors 

• Why some people use abusive behaviours in relationships

About You 

Are you a passionate marine/coastal conservationist, looking to work for one of the UK’s best-loved nature charities? If so, then they have an exciting opportunity for you! 

Our client are the largest non-governmental organisation working on marine and coastal issues in the UK, and are looking for a supportive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable colleague to join their ambitious marine team. They work on everything from terrestrial to marine restoration to bring about nature’s recovery, for the benefit of all. Despite Blue Planet and more recently the Wild Isles series, they still have a job to do, to raise the profile of the sea and all that lives within it. 

They know that their coastline is under increasing pressure, and they need to do more to restore and conserve it for future generations – are you the person to help them do that? The coast is changing as sea-levels rise. Without planning, coastal change can be catastrophic for people and sometimes for wildlife. Planning and designing realignment in front of future sea-level rise makes sense, but opportunities are limited. This post will help The Trusts identify those opportunities and coordinate funding and licensing to ensure that realignment works both for those communities affected and helps to restore their wonderful coastal wildlife. 

You will have a detailed understanding of coastal processes, including relevant nature conservation issues. You will need to enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be organised and resourceful and have meticulous attention for written detail as well as a passion for their cause. You will need to have excellent communication and facilitation skills, be adept at working with lots of information while able to bring out the best in the way they emphasise the work of The Trusts to all.

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional? If so this ongoing interim School Fee Assistant could be a great role for you.

In your role as School Fee Assistant you will be responsible for the day to day administration of student accounts whilst delivering accounts records and customer service.

Your day to day duties as School Fee Assistant will include;

• Processing Accounts Receivable invoices
• Processing all income, student record updated
• Raising credit notes
• Very light credit control - chasing outstanding payments
• Maintaining accurate billing information
• Taking payments over the phone and ensuring all income is recorded in correct ledger
• Managing the accounts receivable inbox and handling relevant queries
• Assist with month end reconciliations and biannual billing processes

In your role as Student Fee Assistant your duties you will work as part of a wider finance team at the Head of Offices.

The skills you will bring to your role as Student Fee Assistant will include;

• Prior experience in similar accounts receivable role (Prior experience in a school is not essential)
• Knowledge and understanding of debit VS credit
• Excellent communication and customer service experience
• Working knowledge of Excel and experience of any accounting system
