North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre is recruiting an enthusiastic individual to lead on sourcing appropriate funding and writing our large funding bids. The ability to form and develop relationships with funders and to understand their requirements is essential. It will be vital in this role to communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who understands the charity sector and who has proven experience of successful income generation. You must be able to undertake research, understand complex information and produce clear funding briefs.

Part of this role involves working to tight deadlines, so the successful candidate will be willing and able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

The role can be based in the successful candidate’s preferred North Yorkshire office (Northallerton, Richmond, Malton, Scarborough, Selby or Harrogate), with hybrid and remote working options also available.

The main purpose of the Administrative Assistant is to provide a welcoming
reception to everyone who uses our public spaces and to provide accurate and
timely administrative support to facilitate the efficient running of our services.
By providing effective administrative support, this role will help to ensure that
the charity’s resources are used effectively to support cancer patients across the
region.

Key responsibilities
Reception Duties
 Greet all visitors and service users in a warm, friendly, and empathetic
manner
 Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and in-person queries with
empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality, responding to questions
or concerns and signposting to appropriate services and colleagues
 Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area
 Provide refreshments for guests and support hospitality for in-house
events
 Manage appointment bookings and room usage for services, meetings,
and events
 Manage appointment bookings for transport, counselling, therapies,
group activities, and support sessions, ensuring schedules are accurate
and up to date, sending appointment reminder calls/texts/letters to
clients as required.
 Coordinate volunteer transport driver and freelance therapist schedules
 Liaise effectively with staff, volunteers, therapists, and healthcare
professionals to ensure that every individual receives the right level of
care and support at the right time
 Maintain clear and accurate records of client interactions, appointments,
and referrals in line with GDPR and safeguarding practices
 Act as a vital communication link between service users and the wider
team, flagging any concerns or urgent needs promptly
 Offer a calm, reassuring presence to individuals who may be distressed,
anxious, or seeking information at a vulnerable time, engaging senior
colleagues, as appropriate
 Open and close patient spaces and set up the centre space for workshops,
support groups and other events.

Administrative Support
 Maintain accurate records and update databases, including service user
information
 Inputting data into relevant systems accurately and in a timely manner
 Assist with preparing correspondence, reports, and materials for
meetings
 Assist in the processing of post, deliveries, and office supplies
 Liaise with volunteers, staff, and external service providers as needed
 Managing the consumables within this patient space and ordering
replacement stock as and when required.
 Provide general administrative support to the wider team as required.
 Take donations in any of the Weston Park Cancer Charity locations
 Arranging room bookings both internally and externally.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee all financial aspects of our UK and international operations. This is a critical role that ensures our financial stewardship is sound and our systems are effective.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Preparing statutory accounts and managing the annual audit process.

About You

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.

The role of Personal Assistant (PA) is a key opportunity to work alongside and support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Board of Trustees (BoT) as they lead Church Army forward. The SLT comprises the CEO and three Executive Directors with multiple demands on their time and multiple responsibilities so a PA who can help them work efficiently and effectively is really important. The PA is a trusted and valued colleague who can assist the SLT maximise the impact of their time.

To perform well in this role, you need to be someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and able to engage confidently and effectively with a range of people. The PA works closely with the SLT and will be handling confidential information, so the role requires someone who understands the importance of confidentiality, works with discretion, and always acts professionally. You will need excellent organisation skills and consider what information the SLT need to make the best use of each meeting and event. You should be able to manage busy diaries and multiple projects and tasks have a flexible approach prioritising and responding to requests as they present.

About the opportunity

As an Impact Analyst, you will work within a team supporting social impact projects. This role will primarily support our Stronger Families programme. Stronger Families is a social enterprise partnership coordinator, that was created by BOP to deliver an outcomes-based contract to support families in Suffolk and Norfolk to stay together. 

With the expertise of chosen delivery partner Family Psychology Mutual, Stronger Families supports children and adolescents at risk of being taken into care or in care, providing them (and their family) with access to a proven therapeutic programme (Functional Family Therapy, FFT). 

The programme is designed to help them address behavioural and emotional difficulties and move forward with relationships built on a foundation of acceptance and respect. Initially your role will be dedicated to supporting Stronger Families but with experience you will have the opportunity to support other BOP programmes.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include.

· Overseeing all data related aspects of the programme including data collection, extraction, cleaning, analysis, reporting, and presentation.

· Gathering and analysing quantitative and qualitative data to measure the impact of service innovations for the programmes you are working across. Produce regular reports and insights that aid decision making to continuously improve programme design.

· Taking initiative to propose and implement relevant analyses to the project to maximise positive impact for participants with the programmes you are supporting.

· Building relationships and working at times directly with Delivery Partners (VCSE organisations who are delivering the frontline services for the programme) to ensure they are able to use the data systems accurately and effectively,

· Identifying opportunities for process automation and improving utilisation of management data by colleagues across the programme.

· Supporting the Programme Lead on all operational and project management needs, including coordination of team activities and providing other administrative support.

· Working with the Investment Lead and colleagues in Finance, to ensure invoices for outcomes achieved by participants within programmes are processed.

· Engaging with other analysts across BOP to share learnings from your own project and implement learnings from other projects in your own.

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on senior infrastructure and security manager to lead and manage Breast Cancer Now’s IT infrastructure and security operations.
This is a delivery focused role where you’ll take responsibility for building, configuring and maintaining infrastructure while also implementing and managing security governance controls. You’ll ensure our systems are resilient, secure and aligned with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus and NCSC guidance.
You’ll be responsible for migrating systems from on-premises to Microsoft Azure, modernising our infrastructure to ensure it is secure, scalable and cost-efficient. Alongside this transformation, you’ll manage day-to-day infrastructure and security operations across our hybrid environment.
In addition, you’ll also take ownership for the delivery of key governance activities including risk assessments, audits, compliance checks, vulnerability management and cyber incident response.
Working closely with the Head of IT, you’ll support the development of long-term plans while taking full ownership of technical delivery. You’ll mentor and guide engineers, but remain fully embedded in the hands-on work needed to build and maintain secure, high-quality infrastructure services.

About you

You’ll be an experienced infrastructure professional with strong hands-on expertise in designing, implementing and managing:

• Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, compute, security and monitoring)
• Networking technologies (firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, virtualisation)
• Enterprise security tools (SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, XDR, MDM, IDPS)
• Backup, replication and disaster recovery solutions

You’ll have proven experience of building infrastructure solutions end-to-end, delivering transformation projects, and maintaining secure, resilient and cost-efficient environments.
