Job description
About The Role

If you’re someone who enjoys getting behind the data, asking the right questions and turning research into something people can actually use, this is a role worth taking a look at. As Market Research Co-ordinator, you’ll be part of RBL’s central Customer and Market Research function, supporting a varied programme of qualitative and quantitative research from start to finish. You’ll build and manage surveys, coordinate fieldwork, work with research agencies, panels and suppliers, and support everything from ongoing tracking studies to one off projects responding to emerging business questions. No two projects will necessarily look the same, so this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be involved in the detail of how research is planned, delivered and used.

Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.

A big part of the role will be taking research beyond the raw data. You’ll clean and analyse findings, identify the points that matter and turn them into clear charts, tables, summaries and presentations that make the story easy to understand. You’ll also take ownership of the day to day organisation of our insight repository, making sure research is properly captured, easy to find and available to colleagues when they need it. You’ll have the opportunity to work with research from across the organisation, building a strong understanding of our customers and audiences while helping colleagues make better use of the evidence we already have. It’s a hands on research role, but one with a clear focus on making insight accessible, relevant and useful.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in a research, insight or research support environment who is comfortable working across both the practical and analytical sides of projects. You’ll know your way around survey tools and research data, be confident producing clear outputs and have the judgement to spot when something doesn’t look quite right. You’ll be naturally organised, able to manage several pieces of work at once and comfortable working with people at different levels, from responding to a quick request for existing insight to coordinating with an external research supplier. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys research, someone who is curious about what the data is telling you, pays attention to the detail and wants to keep developing their skills across different types of research and insight.

You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there, with occasional travel (incl. For monthly team meetings).

Employee benefits include -

- 28 day’s paid holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, with optional annual leave purchase scheme of up to 5 working days
- Enhanced paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave
- Generous pension scheme with employer contributions ranging from 6% to 14%, depending on length of service
- Range of flexible working options may be available, depending on your role
- Employee Assistance Programme providing confidential counselling, financial and legal advice
- Range of courses delivered by learning specialists to support your development goals and objectives
- Opportunities to volunteer
- Travel loans, Cycle to Work, and more!

For more detailed information about the role, please see the Job Description attached to our direct advert. Our teams take a personalised approach to shortlisting, which is carried out without the use of AI and is based on the evidence provided in your application against the essential and desirable criteria in the Person Specification.

RBL is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive organisation, reflecting the diversity of the armed forces community and of wider society. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and personal characteristics.

As part of our commitment to inclusion, we offer interview schemes for candidates who declare an Armed Forces connection and/or a disability. However, candidates are only eligible for this scheme if their application clearly demonstrates that they meet all of the essential criteria listed in the Person Specification for the role.

We may close this vacancy early if we believe we have enough strong applications to be able to successfully fill the role(s). Interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
