Job description

At Scope, we are on a mission to create a more inclusive society for disabled people. Our Working on Wellbeing employment service is key to this. We provide employment training and support for disabled people in Wales. We work with disabled people to develop a plan to achieve their career goals.

 

The role

As a Programme Lead, you will play a pivotal role in bringing positive change to our community. You will lead on all aspects of the service’s performance and impact. Based in Cardiff, this role requires travel within our delivery areas of Cardiff and Cym Taf.

Fixed term - 8 months maternity cover

35 hours per week Monday - Friday

Office base is Scope's Cardiff office with travel as required across the delivery area but there is the option to work from home when not required in the office and community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Be the Leader We Need:

Lead and inspire the programme team of Employment Advisers,

Champion colleague wellbeing through effective support, guidance, and encouragement.

Live and breathe Scope's values and motivate others to do the same.

 

Program Delivery and Impact:

Drive service delivery, impact, and outcome targets.

Maintain, document, and share performance standards, acting when targets aren't met.

Embrace and put in place the principles of the Social Model of Disability

Share your expertise in service delivery within the relevant sector.

Drive positive change and service improvements.

Lead reporting on service KPIs and impact.

 

Engage with Our Community:

Represent and promote the work of Scope within your role and beyond.

Collaborate with external stakeholders, commissioners, and supporters.

 

Flexibility and Adaptation:

Lead in implementing and managing change to meet emerging priorities and service requirements.

 

About You

You will have proven experience in service delivery within the employability sector and a track record of making a positive impact and improving services.

You will lead and inspire the programme team of Employment Advisers and possess an inclusive management style.

You will possess experience in delivering and reporting on service KPIs and impact.

You will have excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills and have the ability to thrive under pressure and handle conflicting priorities.
