The Hepatitis C Trust has developed projects nationally whereby peers use their lived experience of injecting drug use and hepatitis C, to provide education and training to increase awareness of hepatitis C, reduce stigma, and promote access to testing and treatment for people living with hepatitis C.
Do you have experience of working in drug services and with volunteers? Have you been affected by hepatitis C, or have you supported anyone who has hepatitis C? We are looking for a passionate and skilled peer lead who has excellent communication and organisational skills. We require a good standard of education and welcome creativity and innovation in all our work.
Alongside a growing team, these posts will continue the development and delivery of the Hepatitis C peer project, recruiting and supporting volunteer peers across Bristol, and also Bath, Weston, and surrounding areas. Working in partnership with hepatitis C clinical teams, drug and alcohol services and homeless service providers, the post will coordinate delivery of educational workshops, hepatitis C testing in community settings, ensure that service users are referred and supported through hepatitis C treatment and care.
These posts will require extensive travel across the region and it’s desirable the postholders have a clean driving licence and have their own vehicle for work related travel.

The Role

The Role

About the Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to provide debt advice and money education on a case management basis and to support the provision of advice by volunteers. The post holder will be expected to manage their own cases and lead appointment sessions.
The organisation’s mission is to ‘Restore Dignity and Renew Hope’ to those in our communities brought down by poverty and debt. The job holder will play their part in bringing this vision to reality, supporting clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations, to get back on their feet and realise their full potential.
The role combines both technical and pastoral elements. The role will involve building a client case, untangling sometimes complex situations, liaising with creditors, providing guidance for volunteers, and discerning and communicating the appropriate choices and strategies for the client. But you will also need to lead client appointments and support clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations.
About you:
We are looking for someone with prior debt advice experience who ideally has experience in leading and supervising volunteers.
Essential skills and experience of the Case Manager include:
- Previous experience in providing regulated debt advice on a case management basis
- Being a DRO intermediary would be an advantage
- Demonstrable experience in providing person-focused support to clients who may be vulnerable
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to show empathy, compassion and patience
- Sound IT skills with a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Team Manager - Young People on a Permanent basis for two new Supported Housing Schemes in Lewisham, due to open in June 2024.
You, as the Team Manager will support a team of housing support workers to support our young customers to remain in their home and take an active part in the community.
Both schemes are part of Peabody's well established Young Persons and Complex Needs service in London and will provide temporary housing for young people who are homeless aged between 16 to 17 years.
What we’re looking for:
- Are you experienced in providing support as a senior support worker or as a team manager to people who have experienced trauma and have complex and challenging support needs?
- Do you have any previous experience in the housing support sector and a good knowledge of statutory and community services?

The Educational Partnerships Manager role will suit someone that is able to work with young people, build rapport and engage young people from a range of backgrounds. Your experience of relationships development and management will help with developing new schools as well as supporting existing school relationships. Ensure that all legal and Vision Foundation internal regulations regarding donated stock are adhered to
· Inspire the team to provide a great customer and donor experience, which enables The Vision Foundation to attract new supporters every day. Ensure that feedback, including complaints are escalated to the Area Manager within the agreed timeframes
· Empower the team to create original, appropriate and commercially successful visual merchandising displays, including shop windows
· Make sure that all procedures for the sale of new products are followed by the volunteer team (if applicable)
· Work with the Area Manager to ensure our shops are in good condition, maximise their potential and are fit for purpose
· Provide a safe and healthy working environment and ensure that all team members are aware of and operate within Vision Foundation’s health and safety policies and procedures, including waste management and customer safety
Leadership - Volunteers
· Recruit, induct, and retain an inclusive and diverse volunteer team, which is large enough in numbers and capable to maximise the shop’s income and profitability and guarantee the smooth running of the shop.
· Maintain an empowered, well trained, motivated and engaged volunteer team with excellent levels of communication at team and individual level.
· Connect the volunteer team with Vision Foundation’s work and help them to understand the value of their contribution
Leadership - Paid Staff

· Be accountable for the integration of the shop into the local community in collaboration with the shop team
· Empower the team to respond to all appeals and fundraising opportunities.
· Adhere to and enforce Vision Foundation’s safeguarding policies.
