SMART CJS has been providing life-changing services to individuals with complex needs since 1996. The Role:

As our Fundraiser, you will develop and lead our community fundraising strategy, aiming to raise £90,000. You’ll manage individual giving, lead events, engage with local businesses, and inspire community support. Your efforts will help us continue our vital work in Bedford and Milton Keynes.

Working as part of the Finance Team you will contribute to the delivery of an efficient finance department ensuring accurate and timely financial transaction processing including purchase invoice processing, checking and approving expense claims, weekly BACS payment runs and cash book postings all in line with Kew’s financial policies and procedures. 

To be successful you will need to be a methodical and proactive employee; working closely with the Finance team, Kew staff and external suppliers as part of the transaction processing team, demonstrating excellent customer service together with strong communication skills both orally and in writing.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in accounts payable and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of what is required backed up by experience in the role.

Experience with Agresso would be desirable.

This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.

Our administration team are integral to the smooth running of Beacon and this is an opportunity to be part of this.

We have two roles available for people to join our appointments team as administrators, working within our opening times of 8:45am and 9:15pm Monday-Thursday and 8:45am and 4:30pm on Friday.

Stop Domestic Abuse support all those affected by domestic abuse by providing innovative and unique services. They ensure that victims are supported to recover, and perpetrators are supported to change their behaviour.

Refuge workers will provide safety planning, support, advice, and assistance to children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are staying in the refuge. The work will focus on preventing domestic abuse by providing support and facilitating safe space for children and young people and peer support networks in the refuge and supporting children and young people to keep safe in/maintain their refuge accommodation.
 
Additionally, you will establish and maintain links with statutory and voluntary agencies; to promote and support the welfare of families who have experienced domestic abuse. Form and maintain relationships with local specialist domestic abuse services, and finally, ensure that child welfare is ensured in accordance with Stop Domestic Abuse’s Protection from Abuse Policy.

This role includes the opportunity to be on call out of office hours as this is a 24-hour, 7 day a week service running outside of usual service hours.  The on-call out of hours service may involve the following duties and responsibilities, this is not an exhaustive list and is subject to change to ensure contract and service delivery requirements are met by the organisation and to provide a high-quality service to people affected by domestic abuse. Stop Domestic Abuse is committed to running a 24-hour service to people affected by domestic abuse that is accessible, supportive and welcoming.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team.

Acting as the first point of contact for all Fundraising & Comms enquiries and in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communications Strategy, this is a busy role and will require excellent stewardship and donor care skills as well as meticulous organisation and innovative thinking. Often the first point of contact for our clients in Lambeth and Southwark, the Information and Advice Service aims to provide support for residents who may be experiencing social-isolation, low mood, anxiety or depression. The service handles over 1500 enquiries a year from people seeking support for a range of issues including welfare benefits, housing and homelessness, advocacy, family support, disability and legal advice in addition to accessing our mental health and befriending services.

As one of two Advice Service Coordinators, you’ll support volunteers to ensure that the service is running efficiently. You will be in regular contact with clients both interested in and accessing the service to make sure they have adequate support. This may include referrals and signposting to additional or alternative mental health and social support services.

You’ll also maintain the online Community Information Network (COIN) directory, which includes vocational and social opportunities for adults with long term health conditions who are looking for paid work, to move closer to their vocational goals or consider social and leisure opportunities.

Applicants should have experience of providing specialist advice in benefits and housing, managing a diverse caseload and providing advocacy, and possess effective communication skills. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

Role Overview:

The Talent Set is thrilled to be supporting a leading social welfare charity as they search for a Digital Coordinator to support them for an initial 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the website team to transfer content to their new websites. This will include reconstructing all website pages in their new CMS (Drupal) using page modules and components as well as uploading images and other assets, performing copy edits, building forms, and assisting in quality assurance for all content before it is published.

For over 20 years, we’ve used technology to connect young people facing barriers with inspiring mentors. We deliver online mentoring programmes in collaboration with schools, universities, businesses and charities to provide young people with access to networks, online career information and high-quality mentoring. 

Role overview

The Project Support Officer will support our Programmes Team with activity related to project delivery while members of the team are on maternity leave. The postholder will be responsible for completing a variety of project delivery tasks that support the smooth running of our online mentoring. These tasks include administrative support through our online mentoring platform, data entry and data monitoring, training our volunteers to be mentors and inducting young people onto our programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Administrative support for our projects, including:
  • Supporting the programmes team to book regular meetings with partners
  • Monitoring a centralised support inbox for our partners
  • Monitoring a centralised support inbox for our mentors and mentees
  • Writing emails and other communications to our project users
  • Monitoring and reporting on mentee and mentor engagement on our projects
  • Moderating user messages and user profiles
  • Conducting safety spot checks on recorded video calls
  • Data entry on Salesforce related to our projects and users
  • Data entry on project and task progress on our project management system
  • Setting up zoom calls for training sessions and managing registrations
  • Inviting mentees and mentors to the mentoring platform, monitoring progress, and producing reports for partners
• Delivering mentor training sessions
• Delivering and supporting delivery of mentee induction sessions and other activity for young people (such as assemblies)
• Taking notes during meetings and monitoring actions
• Supporting our quality assurance processes by testing our projects and proofreading our materials
• Other administrative tasks that may be reasonably required

Desirable criteria

We are especially interested in candidates who:

• Have experience using Salesforce or other CRM software

• Have experience of delivering training to young people

A DBS check at the enhanced level will be required for successful applicants

Salary and benefits

Salary: £24,900 - £27,200 (£14,940 - £16,500 actual based on 22.5 hours a week)

Contract: Fixed term (ending 30 April 2025)

Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week

Holiday allowance: 25 days (pro-rata for part-time staff depending on join date)

We are looking for an Administrator to support the Girl experience department. The Girl experience department is a friendly and creative one, responsible for the delivery of our full girl offer, including activity creation and development, events and programmes across Girlguiding.

Working with various teams across the department, including our programme, girl voice and young leader teams, you will provide admin support. The work can be varied and creative, but regular tasks include supporting meetings through agenda setting, managing invites and attendance, document set up and circulation, minuting and keeping track of action logs. You will support booking processes and finance processes for events, meetings and team members. You will have the opportunity to support youth programme activity development through copy editing and testing of activities, and support in consultation and engagement of girls through the development of our youth projects. Supporting the head of department, you will engage in small scale research tasks or wider project management actions.
