ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a People Systems and Insight Analyst with experience in systems, data and reporting, and has strong analytical skills to join our passionate team.

As part of the People and Culture Directorate, you will play a critical role in managing and optimising our people systems. You’ll be enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, so that we work efficiently and effectively, and our workforce has a seamless ‘user experience’.

Not only will you use your strong insight and analytical skills to investigate a range of internal and external data sets, you’ll also find compelling ways of presenting data to help us to answer key questions about our people and will actively make evidence-based recommendations that move us closer towards our goals.

• Manage and optimise our people systems, enhancing the functionality of our systems and processes, and resolving issues as needed to ensure a seamless ‘user experience’ for our workforce.
• Responsible for internal and external reporting, supporting various business processes (e.g. establishment, payroll and budget, workforce planning, benchmarking).
• Produce bespoke reports and dashboards for a variety of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to support data-driven insight.
• Generate strong, evidence-based analyses and recommendations, and present data to colleagues in a concise and compelling way to improve organisational understanding of people data and insight.
• Identify and design improvements to our people systems and processes as needs arise, to drive effectiveness and efficiency.

WHAT DO I NEED?

The key skills we’re looking for in this role are:

• Significant experience of working with people systems (HRIS, ATS), including trouble-shooting, making improvements and implementing required changes and updates.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to extract, collate and manipulate data from a variety of data sources.
• Proven experience of analysing and interpreting data and disseminating findings and recommendations in engaging ways.
• Experience in using data visualisation software (e.g., PowerBI).
• Demonstrable experience of making improvements to processes and systems.

About this role: 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays an important part in supporting our Finance Team in delivery of SIB’s new strategy and focus. 

Key responsibilities 

1. To ensure all bank mandate updates and KYC requests are dealt with efficiently and records accurately maintained. 
2. To be responsible for ensuring that, by month end, all bank reconciliations are completed for all entities, required for Management accountants to run loan and grant reports.
3. To reconcile and post interest for non-feed bank accounts when statements are received. 
4. To prepare the monthly Cash Analysis Report. 
5. To monitor credit control. 
6. To process monthly direct debit collections. 
7. To ensure the filing and archiving is up to date. 
8. To assist the Governance Team with minute taking at Committee meetings as and when required. 
9. To enter invoices into Receipt Bank/Xero, checking that coding and budget data is correct. 
10. To monitor and maintain shared finance mailboxes. 
11. To manage the electronic approval system – ApprovalMax. Matching Invoices to purchase orders and ensuring invoices are uploaded with correct authorisations. 
12. To handle any payment issues raised by internal/external team members for timely resolution. 
13. To prepare for and make weekly payments to SIB grantees, investees, employees and suppliers following laid down procedures. 
14. To set up payment templates for new payees within SIB’s agreed controls for suppliers, grantees, investees and team members. To support the Project Accountant and Head of Governance in maintaining and reviewing the supplier register to be complaint with ISO. 
15. To upload/import payments for approval when grants and loan disbursement requests are required. 
16. To be responsible for credit card and Pleo card book keeping and reconciliations. 
17. To generate sales invoices. 
18. To enter invoices into Receipt Bank/Xero, checking that coding and budget data is correct. 
19. To match Invoices to purchase orders and ensuring invoices are uploaded with correct authorisations. 
20. To be the bank administrator for all accounts in relation to systems admin.

Our partner, an international charity, seeks an interim finance manager to support the international finance team. The successful candidate will be an all-rounder, with experience in preparing consolidated annual accounts, management accounts, whilst being hands on and taking on transactional elements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Day to day accounting and administration, including posting transactions; payment of suppliers and staff expenses; international bank transfers to overseas country offices; setting up and processing regular giving payments, and processing one off donations; banking; and process monthly payroll.
• Undertake reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including BVA analysis and summaries, and income and expenditure reports for budget holders.
• Prepare the annual consolidated accounts and financial statements, and support in the preparation of the annual audit, liaising with the overseas country offices.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with all-round experience working in a small team within an international charity. Experience of leading on the production of annual consolidated accounts as per charity SORP in the UK, management accounts & analysis, and managing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks.
• Hands on, able to manage a varied workload.
• Strong business partnering skills, able to work with finance and non-finance staff in the UK and overseas offices, budget holders and liaise with third parties, including banks and auditors.
• Strong communication skills.

This is a part-time role (3-4 days/week), that can be done either remotely or hybrid, coming into the office 1 day/week. All candidates (even remote) must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship. This is a 6 month parental leave cover. An immediate start is preferred.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of monthly accounts using Quickbooks Intuit (QB) software 

• Preparation of payroll journals in QB in respect of the UK salaries 

• Preparation of any other payroll information required, such as P60s.

• Access to the bank account to set up payments

• Manage relationship with, and payments to, HMRC 

• Ensure the monthly pension payments are set up and authorised through the NEST pension website.

• Review of quarterly payment of funds to Kenya prior to Treasurer review and approval.

This part-time role is 100% working from home, with flexible working hours. The role demands circa 10 hours per week and pay is competitive and dependent on experience. 

We are an agile social enterprise looking for a qualified Finance Manager to manage and operate our existing finance function. Working flexibly from home, you will perform a core role in our small, friendly virtual team helping to maintain financial stability and control as we focus on our mission to deliver successful projects across a range of settings globally. You will report to the Strategy Director. The role is advertised at 15 hours per week and the preference would be for these hours to be worked over 3 days, however this can be flexed in line with the cyclical nature of some of the finance activities, particularly during quarter end.

The North-West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North-West Region.

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) tackles serious organised crime across the North West region. The NWROCU carries out investigations into serious and organised crime on behalf of police forces in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and North Wales. The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will:

• Be a Fully qualified CCAB Accountant.
• Have experience of working within a large and complex financial environment; with specific knowledge and experience of fulfilling a budget management role.

Global Greengrants Fund comprises two organisations located in the USA, Global Greengrants Fund Inc (established in 1993), and Global Greengrants Fund UK (established in 2012). The two organisations work closely together with a shared grantmaking programme and strategic collaboration at the senior leadership level. GGF UK consists of nine staff members working on fundraising and influencing philanthropy; finance; communications; and operations, with all of these functions operating autonomously but in close collaboration with their US counterpart functions.

The Finance and Grants Officer needs to understand the challenges and opportunities that come with these transformations and can remain flexible, steady, and adaptable.

The Role

Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in collaborating across teams to support finance and grantmaking. They are responsible for the smooth running of all transactional processes for grants, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. They will also lead on any applicable system enhancements thus offering a critical and wide-ranging systems support role for the grantmaking charity. They will ensure that financial transactions are properly allocated, recorded, and maintained and assist in the preparation of audit data as well as supporting project reporting to aid in the preparation of the annual statutory audit and project reports.

As part of the finance and operations team, they will join a growing team currently staffed by four members in the UK. In the present accountability structures, the Finance and Grants Officer, GGF UK is line managed by the Director of Finance and Operations, GGF UK while building and working in more collaborative ways.

The Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, human rights, and/or grantmaking organisation. They demonstrate knowledge and experience in charity/nonprofit grant accounting/financial issues and dealing with both financial and grant information and processes, understand accounting principles, and have knowledge of accounting, grantmaking, and budgeting processes. They have cash management, banking, and payment experiences. They demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills, and the ability to ensure the accuracy of work and demonstrate precise attention to detail. They will have the skills to give, receive, and work with feedback constructively. They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. Multiple language skills would be ideal, while English fluency is a must.

International Finance Manager, an excellent opportunity to join an International Welfare Charity, based in the UK.

As the International Finance Manager, you will be working in collaboration with the Director of Finance and will manage the finance functions, oversee financial management of the charity and its international subsidiary. As the International Finance Manager, you will be responsible for specific financial management areas such as:

• Development, implementation and ongoing oversight of financial policies, practices, processes, and systems.
• Production of budget and quarterly management accounts.
• Management of external audit and production of consolidated year end statutory accounts.
• Relationship management with banks, HMRC and outsourced financial services providers.
• Finance support on budgeting and reporting to members, staff, and the Leadership Team (LT).

• The International Finance Manager undertakes the financial due diligence review of new and existing members in accordance with charities Due Diligence Framework.

This International Finance Manager role offers an opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to work fully remote or for a senior finance specialist to progress their career, whilst working for a fantastic International Charity.  To be successful in this role, you will have worked within the charity sector and ideally have gained international currency transactions or be working for an international charity. Experience, knowledge, and skills required:  

• Strong practical experience working in a financial or management accounting role, within the charity sector, with knowledge of relevant charity accounting standards and regulations.
• Experience of restricted fund project accounting and donor reporting
• Experience of foreign currency transactions
• Experience and knowledge of control systems and processes, with a clear understanding of their underlying purpose.
• Producing work that clearly summarizes and analyses financial performance and identifies key issues with proposed actions.
• Practical experience of annual accounts preparation, reconciliations and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Either qualified or working to a qualification such as; ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CA
• Desirable; Experience of Power BI, Xero and/or SalesForce accounting system and of company credit/risk assessments/due diligence
