Job Purpose

Money Minded is a new service designed to support adults (18 years and over) in Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with the West London NHS Mental Health Teams, operating within the tri-borough area.

The service provides support with welfare benefits, accessing debt support, housing and well-being. The role of the Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will be to provide advice, guidance and customer representation to tri-borough residents living with Mental Health difficulties. Advice issues may include housing, welfare benefits, council tax, accessing debt support, signposting etc.

The successful candidate will deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals, as agreed with the Service Manager. In addition to advice casework, the Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will also be expected to assist onboarding referrals to the service, as and when needed.

The successful candidate will work closely with the West London NHS Mental Health teams and project volunteers, ensuring adherence to the Advice Quality Standard framework (AQS) and Mind's policies and procedures.

Due to the nature of the work, if successful, you will need to have an up-to-date DBS check completed, prior to undertaking unsupervised client work.

Place of Work

The Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will be required to work within the West London NHS Mental Health team offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals as agreed with the service manager
• Deliver monthly wellbeing peer support groups/workshops
• Provide advice and information relating to all welfare benefits, including assisting clients with form filling and contacting agencies such as the Department for Work & Pensions on their behalf
• Provide housing advice
• Link in with specialist debt and money support agencies
• Provide information on employment opportunities and training support for clients
• Signpost to other relevant services in the boroughs, or further afield

Person Specification

Knowledge & Experience

• Substantial experience of delivering advice in a similar position, preferably to individuals with Mental Health needs
• Knowledge and understanding of Mental Health problems and how they are impacted by social issues
• Experience of delivering advice, information and customer representation
• Experience of managing complex cases
• Experience of working with multiple agencies
• Experience of delivering desired outcomes in a timely manner  
• Up to date knowledge and experience of safeguarding adults
• Understanding of the importance of monitoring and evaluation, and the ability to keep records

Skills & Attributes

• Relevant and up to date knowledge of welfare benefits, housing and social care
• Facilitate and deliver peer support groups for longer term improved wellbeing

Support Coordinator

We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Central Bedfordshire.

Position: S11170 Stroke Association Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Central Bedfordshire, however frequent travel will be required as part of this role (to include home visits, team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Salary: Circa £17,189 per annum (FTE circa £26,700 per annum)

The Role

Reporting to a Service Delivery Coach in the East of England, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers to adjust to life after stroke following hospital discharge into the community.

· Providing personalised information, advice and support.

· Enabling stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.

· Working with other health and social care professionals across the stroke pathway to ensure high quality support.

About You

You will have experience in:

· Experience/ background of providing person centred support to people with a disability or long-term health condition and their carers.

About the Role

• Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accmmodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.
• The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.
• In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork. 
• You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist.
• You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.
• The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts, normally Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend working, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. This is a 1 year fixed term contract.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Wellbeing Support Worker to join our Flintshire Wellbeing service. This role does not provide direct basic care but is focused on motivating and supporting individuals to identify their own goals as well as developing self-management strategies to improve their health and wellbeing and maintain their independence.

This role will ensure that guided conversations are led by the individual and that they are at the centre of everything we do.This is a new service commissioned by Flintshire County Council on behalf of health and social care partners through the Welsh Government Regional Integration Fund. The service has been commissioned to fill a gap identified within existing service provision.

If you have an empathetic and compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their health and wellbeing, this role could be for you. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping individuals improve their overall well-being and make positive lifestyle changes following a recent hospital admission.

The Flintshire Wellbeing service aims to support individuals for a period of up to 6 weeks following hospital discharge. We work collaboratively with individuals to help them identify their strengths, overcome limiting beliefs, and develop practical strategies for achieving their goals at home and within their community.

A key element of this role will be to work with the individual and co-design a personalised action plan. From this information, meaningful functional goals and outcomes are developed with the individual, to promote wellbeing, autonomy, independence, and choice. This approach aims to ‘enable people to be and to do what they have reason to value’

Summary of Role

This is an exciting new role in our Talking Therapies team providing vital support to people in Manchester with common mental health problems. Working alongside counsellors, you will provide wrap-around social and practical support to adults on our waiting list for or who are engaging in Talking Therapy to enable them to address and overcome barriers impacting on their health and wellbeing. You will provide advice, information and guidance on these issues, make onward referrals to specialist advice organisations where necessary and support engagement with these services. 

You will build and maintain relationships with key referrers, such as GP surgeries, to promote the service and facilitate appropriate referrals.

Once trained, you have the exciting task of leading and facilitating a new course within the service: Living Life to the Full™, a CBT-informed group programme designed to support people to improve low mood, overcome stress, sleep better and build confidence.

About the Suzy Lamplugh Trust

Suzy Lamplugh Trust is the UK’s pioneering personal safety charity and leading stalking authority. We were established in 1986 following the disappearance of 25-year-old Suzy Lamplugh, an estate agent and lone worker who went to meet a client and never returned. The Trust exists so that what happened to Suzy does not happen to anyone else. For the past 37 years, we have worked towards reducing the risk of harassment, stalking, aggression, and violence. Our Stalking Helpline offers support and advice to thousands of victims of stalking every year, while our bespoke advocacy teams work closely with partners across the Violence Against Women and Girls’ (VAWG) sector, the criminal justice system, and both statutory and non-statutory services to ensure our clients can live a live free from abuse and fear.

You will be working alongside a team of advocates who are dedicated to supporting and empowering victims and survivors of stalking. By working with a caseload of 20- 25 clients, you will have the opportunity to provide holistic and bespoke advocacy to your clients, whilst leveraging your knowledge of gender-based abuse to support the Trust’s specialist mission.

Purpose of Role:

· To provide expert advice and advocacy to victims of stalking, both within the context of domestic abuse, and non-domestic abuse related stalking.

· To provide guidance and support by telephone, email and face-to-face to those affected by stalking.

· To provide casework support and advocacy to victims of stalking, liaising with both voluntary and statutory services to ensure positive outcomes for victims. 

· To support the operational Team Leaders where required.

Work Location:  The post holder will be required to be office-based initially to support their induction and integration with the service.  Thereafter, a blended model (40 office/60 home), with office working in London and home working (must have adequate and confidential workspace when remote working). Candidates should ideally be located in London or immediate surrounding area (but locations outside of these areas may be considered).

Do you have demonstrable experience of giving money and budgeting advice or support in a student facing environment or financial services setting? Do you have an understanding of issues facing students in Higher Education?

We are recruiting for a specialist Money & Budgeting Advisor into our Advice Service to provide money, budgeting and debt advice to our members, oversee the application processes for our expanded hardship funds and to run our new financial literacy programme. This role will work alongside another Money & Budgeting Advisor and with our wider Advice & Wellbeing team, supporting each other to achieve positive outcomes for our students. The post holder will provide accurate finance, debt and budgeting advice and information to students using the Advice Service including casework, support and advocacy.

This role is a fixed term maternity cover role for 9 months (with possible extension).

These two new posts will be responsible for supporting the successful initiation, deployment and development of our early intervention and prevention service for autistic and neurodiverse young people and their families across the whole charity.

Key Accountabilities

To work with all the charity’s projects with a focus on providing support to Autistic and Neurodiverse children and young people so that:

a) the local community significantly benefits from a new specialised and responsive frontline service offering high quality advice and intervention

b) you enhance local resources that better wraparound the needs of the autistic community

c) you help build a sustainable model of delivery that directly addresses Autism

We have a very exciting opportunity for anyone who enjoys working on the front-line of patient support in the Wirral and Liverpool area. 

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in Liverpool and the Wirral region. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. As well as directly supporting patients, you will raise awareness of the wide range of local and national resources available to kidney patients, and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other stakeholder groups in the region. 

Based at home (laptop and mobile phone provided), you will be expected to travel independently across Liverpool and the Wirral area and manage your own caseload with the support of your line manager and other members of our national friendly, committed team.

We’ll provide the training, you’ll bring enthusiasm and your experience of working with chronically ill patients in a social, care or health role.
