The Hill End Charitable Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to be our new project coordinator – working with our Centre Director on a wide variety of tasks to create and deliver the projects we need to transform our site and buildings.
The Hill End Outdoor Education Centre has been providing unique outdoor learning experiences to children and adults since the 1920s. The Role
We are seeking a Project Coordinator on a part-time basis to help us create and deliver our vision to develop our site and buildings for the future. This includes modernising our existing facilities, improving access and becoming more environmentally sustainable.
These are ambitious plans and we are not expecting to achieve everything at once. We are looking to create a series of distinct, prioritised projects so we can move forward and need more people capacity in our small team to do so.
The Project Coordinator is a new role, and will undertake the essential administrative, communication, planning and reporting needed to help make our plans a reality. In the first instance, this will be to assist with key building renovations and improvements such as creation of disabled facilities.
The Project Coordinator will not necessarily have formal project management experience, but must be able to pull together a wide-ranging set of requirements, create and improve processes and practices that will allow us to better manage our site development in future.
This role might suit someone wishing to work either three full days or part of each working day. We are happy to discuss flexible working hours.
Principal Duties
These will include:
Gathering and analysing management data
- Using customer bookings and finance systems to extract key information.
- Defining and reporting on key metrics to evaluate the progress and success of projects.
- Collating and using data as required to help with other key strategic tasks such as cost-benefit analysis and business cases.
- Providing data as required to support business planning, funding bids, marketing and communication.
Project communication
- Identifying and engaging with a wide range of key stakeholders, such as partners, customers, contractors, consultants and planners.
- Putting in place systems for better project communication, internally and externally.
- Assisting with scheduling of tasks and meetings.
- Reporting as necessary to the Centre Director and Trustees.
Project coordination
- Helping to define project aims, needs and budgets in line with our strategic priorities.
- Obtaining quotations, costings and development options for Hill End to review and approve.
- Assisting with legal and contractual considerations.
- Putting in place new and robust systems to record project progress and next steps.
- Defining and improving existing management systems.
- Helping to create a new project management model for future development.
Knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes required
The Centre has a small, dedicated staff who are all committed to the aims of the charity. The successful applicant will share the values and enthusiasm of the team. The successful applicant must have:
· Excellent organisational skills, able to pull together complex tasks.

· A capacity to learn new systems quickly and thoroughly.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in standard office software packages (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel).
· Self-motivation and able to work without close supervision.
· Awareness of their responsibility to protect the safety and promote the welfare of young people visiting the Centre.
· A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
It would be an advantage to an applicant to have:
· A good overall standard of education.
· Project management experience.
· Previous experience with the construction industry or planning.
· Enthusiasm for education and outdoor learning.

The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.
The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.
The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, they will build relationships with senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, they will think strategically and lead on maximising new public sector funding streams.
The Major Giving Department is open and supportive with an active social life. The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. The successful candidate will have:
- A track record of successfully bidding for six and/or seven-figure donations

You will be working under our Legal Aid contract, delivering legal advice and representing tenants at Doncaster and Sheffield courts under the Housing Loss Prevention Advice Scheme. Delivering systemic change through legal challenge to prevent homeless will also be a key part of the role.

This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The salary for this position is £28,723 (FTE £35,904) – Manager Level, part time (28 hours – 4 days per week). Keychange is a Christian Charity working in elderly social care and homeless communities. Keychange provides care, support, development, and well-being services across nine sites in England, consisting of seven residential Care Homes for older people and two Housing Communities for young people, with an additional housing site in development. The Director of Strategic Partnerships reports to the CEO and is a part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) along with the Director of Finance, the Director of Operations and Facilities Business Manager. SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives.
Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.
Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.
Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Senior Development Officer (Fundraising)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role:The Senior Development Officer plays an integral role within the Development Team at Forces Employment Charity (FEC). You will work with the Head of Development to produce high quality, bespoke proposals, and reports to demonstrate impact and outcomes to help drive the delivery of FEC across the UK. You will also work within the team to research and identify new fundraising opportunities from trusts, foundations and companies and convert these into long term business relationships.
This position provides a full-time, permanent contract with hybrid working hours, consisting of a 35-hour week. The role allows for hybrid work, including remote work from home, with one day per month at our head office in London.
Principle Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the Head of Development to research and identify new opportunities.
- Develop, prepare, and submit high quality funding applications, acting as bid writing SME.
- Peer Review support to mentor other team members.
- Work with Head of Development to increase the accuracy of our Salesforce data, resulting in data dashboards suitable to the reporting needs of our funders.
- Collaborate with Development and Senior F&R Officer to implement a team strategy and support a lean process of reporting.
- Work with Senior Finance & Reporting Officer to report impact to our funders in line in the funding requirements.
- To work closely with Head of Development to develop and implement our fundraising strategy.
- Represent the organisation at research based events, developing our understanding and enhancing our delivery.
- Identify new opportunities and working with the team to covert these to applications and funding.
- Lead on individual Giving Strategy, working with Head of Development and Development Officer to expand opportunities.
- Any other relevant duties at the discretion of management.

About the team
The Supporter Experience team at Shelter exists to provide expert stewardship to build deep long-term relationships, enhancing the supporter experience to drive income now and increase lifetime values. We ensure supporters feel valued and appreciated by Shelter and understand the impact of their support. We’re part of a wider Community & Events team that sits within an Income Generation directorate. Together, we look after a wide variety of fundraising activities to help fund our mission to ensure a safe home for all. Your team are welcoming and supportive, we work hard but try to have a lot of fun as well. Your line manager will be there to support you and encourage your personal development and you’ll have the opportunity to progress within the Community & Events team and beyond.
About the role
The main objectives of this role will be to provide excellent supporter care to Shelter’s fundraisers, which will involve building relationships and giving fundraising and event support and advice, and providing efficient administrative support to the department. We want to give you scope to grow into a confident and successful fundraiser, so you will receive training and provide supporter care and admin support across a variety of community & events activities, events and products across all three teams.
About you
Communicating with a variety of people: you will enjoy communicating with people in a variety of different ways, over the phone, face to face, by email, letter and over social media channels.
Time management & organisation: there’s a lot to do, particularly when we have fundraising products live and during the busy winter fundraising period, so it’s important to be able to manage your time well. The team has a really positive collective attitude to helping you do this, and they will suggest different tools and methods to stay on top of your work. But your being organised from the get-go is important.
Attention to detail: in all tasks, you will need to have a good eye for detail to make sure work is completed with a high level of accuracy.
Proactive: there are many activities to get involved with at Shelter, so being proactive ensures you get as much from your role as possible. Within your role you need to take initiative in setting up meetings, asking questions and suggesting/trying new ideas. Beyond this, taking advantage of volunteering in our shops or at events, and visiting local Shelter Hubs, is a great way to understand the cause and sector.
Willingness to be busy: everyone in the team has lots to do and has a range of responsibilities across different areas. To be successful in this role, you need to be willing to be busy during the working day and enjoy the variety this brings.
Flexibility: as this role will support work across the wider Community & Events team throughout the year, it is vital that the successful candidate is adaptable and willing to get stuck into different activities when needed. There will be occasional evening and weekend work to support events, for which time off in lieu will be given.
Positive attitude to learning: one of the most important aspects of the job is being positive and willing to learn. Being open-minded and keen to find solutions to problems is essential.

Development Director
Main Purpose and Scope of the Role
The Development Director will be a key part of the Action4Youth Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic development of the whole organisation and taking responsibility for the leadership and management of all aspects of business development, sales, fundraising, marketing and communications.
The Development Director will ensure development to support the Strategic and Operational Plans in order to achieve growth, sustainability and stability and to support the Action4Youth core offer i.e. programme delivery and outdoor education.
Because Action4Youth is a relatively small organisation, teams are small and this means that even senior members of the team like Directors may have to cover for a team member when on leave or generally help out as necessary to achieve targets. In this particular role, that could mean undertaking basic tasks like completing a funding bid to meet a deadline, updating a webpage, writing blog posts or handling sales calls. This job is unusual in genuinely being both strategic and hands on.
Networking is an important part of this role so the post holder will often be expected to attend out of hours events to represent Action4Youth and to develop valuable relationships and connections.

Development/Sales

Fundraising
