As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Harrogate Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. The Development and Advocacy Department are looking to appoint an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our Philanthropy team on a permanent basis. Reporting to one of the Senior Philanthropy Managers, in this role you will manage a number of philanthropic relationships and make a significant contribution to the team through developing new initiatives and growing the portfolio.
The ideal candidate profile for this post will be a team player, with the following credentials:
- An established track record in philanthropy or fundraising for major organisations
- Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of high value relationships with experience of personally securing significant gifts
- Ability to think strategically to devise relevant engagement and cultivation plans and identify opportunities for approaches to prospects
- A balance of experience and innovation to be able to develop new ideas and launch new initiatives successfully
- Credibility as an ambassador in the area of philanthropy, able to work effectively at senior levels and liaise with high-net-worth individuals
- Strong project management skills, with demonstrable experience of solving complex problems, drawing on given resources and collaborative working
A working knowledge of our repertoire is not a pre-requisite for this role but the ability to upskill quickly in our art forms in order to confidently speak to prospective donors is essential.

Overall purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the national development and delivery of our relationships with the private sector to maximise income and impact to support refugees into meaningful employment.
The main purpose of the Partnerships Manager role is to deliver first-class account management and development of corporate partnerships to drive Breaking Barriers mission.
Working closely with Senior Partnerships Managers, Head of Corporate Partnerships, and members of the Income & Engagement and Services Directorates, you will be responsible for launching, retaining and developing a portfolio of partnerships ensuring we deepen and strengthen relationships whilst identifying opportunities for growth.
You will play your part in delivering and developing strategic relationships to bring value to our refugee clients and our employment and education programmes.
The successful candidate will have experience managing corporate partner relationships, including making fundraising asks and managing external communication with donors and partners at all levels of seniority. You will deploy your influencing skills and ability to build profitable relationships to great effect as you take a leading role identifying and nurturing future strategic partnerships. An understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility would be advantageous.

Waddesdon Manor offers visitors a programme of changing exhibitions, talks and tours, family activities and public events. The income from our private events, shop, restaurants and sixteen-bedroom hotel help support keeping the Manor open to the public, our education programme and the care of the collections and gardens for all to enjoy.
What you will do:
The role encompasses all aspects of digital marketing activity, including both B2B and B2C. You’ll also be supporting commercial activities for Waddesdon Manor, the trading company RWL which includes Catering for the Manor operation, visitors, retail, public events, private events, The Bow and The Five Arrows, and any special projects for the Rothschild Foundation e.g. future commercial property developments.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Develop and deliver an online strategy to drive engagement and conversion across Waddesdon’s digital channels.
- Develop and manage digital content, including copywriting and proofreading content to develop our storytelling and ensure academic accuracy, standards and tone of voice are consistent.
- Manage updates to the website to reflect the brand and optimise commercial performance.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to implement new content, amends and updates, which optimise the website and keep information up-to-date. Be the point of contact to help other departments with advice on digital content.
- Manage SEO focused activities to increase quality traffic across the website.
- Plan and manage social media strategy to drive engagement and build new audiences.
- Track and report digital performance across digital channels to enable strategic decision making and share information across the organisation.

- Be part of project teams to deliver a new website for Waddesdon, trading subsidiaries and the Rothschild Foundation, and support integration of new systems including a DAMS and CRM.

- Monitor the outcomes of marketing activity and evaluate against plans, contributing to monthly reports.
- Develop partnership ideas for content and social media and work with third parties as required to deliver these.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a Full Time, Permanent Basis.
As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Kirkby Stephen Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.
Location: 14 Market Street, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, CA17 4QS
Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to on a rota basis which will include weekend, evening, and bank holiday working.
Parking is available behind the shop and there is also a free car park nearby to the store.
Some but not all key responsibilities are:
- Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
- Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
- Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
- Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines
- Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
- Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.
