About The Role 

The Communications Officer will play a critical role in contributing to and delivering The Phoenix Way’s communications

objectives. They will increase public awareness of the challenges faced by Black and Global Majority communities,

highlight the work of our partners, and influence wider change in the funding sector.

This is a dynamic and varied role, requiring a strategic thinker with excellent storytelling, advocacy, and stakeholder

engagement skills.

Main duties and responsibilities 

Increase Public Awareness

• Develop and implement a communications strategy that frames the lived experiences of racial inequality through

compelling data, case studies, and human stories.

• Commission and manage research and data-gathering projects (e.g. £10k budget for Equity in Philanthropy report).

• Produce and disseminate research findings in accessible, engaging formats (reports, infographics, videos, blogs, press

releases).

• Deliver and oversee a coordinated social media plan across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp).

• Lead the press and media strategy, building relationships with journalists, particularly in Black, Asian, third sector, and

mainstream outlets.

Foster Engagement

• Review, update, and embed TPW’s key messaging framework across all channels.

• Work collaboratively with regional teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure consistent and inclusive messaging.

• Engage and mobilise stakeholders including community organisations, funders, policymakers, and the general public.

• Promote and amplify the work of TPW’s funded partners.

Influence Grant-Making Practices

• Develop and execute advocacy strategies targeting policymakers, government bodies, and philanthropic institutions.

• Publish and amplify policy briefs, research reports, and case studies to influence systemic change.

• Promote TPW’s capacity-building programmes (Community Connect, training, resources, and toolkits).

• Collaborate with partners to co-create resources that help community organisations strengthen governance, visibility,

• Signpost community groups to external funding opportunities and wider resources.

• Develop creative, inspiring content that educates, informs, and motivates action.

Amplify Impact

• Develop and deliver TPW’s Social Impact Reporting Framework.

• Collect, analyse, and share data on TPW’s impact and funders’ progress toward equitable grant-making.

• Create powerful storytelling content showcasing success stories, lessons learned, and examples of best practice.

Weekly hours

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Events & Marketing Coordinator will play an essential role in delivering high-impact engagement activities and supporting the wider work of RABI’s Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Events & Engagement Manager, you’ll help coordinate the charity’s presence at a wide range of events -including agricultural shows, external affairs engagements, conferences and community activities, ensuring a consistently professional and compelling presence across England and Wales. You will play a key part in engaging with supporters, volunteers, ambassadors and the public, representing RABI with warmth and professionalism.

The role will also help collate and provide valuable marketing and content support, including supporting the capturing of photography and video for use on digital channels, assisting with the development of volunteer and ambassador case studies, and supporting CRM data collection and engagement surveys. This is an exciting, hands-on, outward-facing role suited to an organised, creative and personable team player.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Coordination and Delivery

• Assist with the organisation and delivery of national and regional events including agricultural shows, external affairs events, volunteer engagement activities and community outreach initiatives.
• Support event logistics such as venue booking, catering, AV, signage, promotional materials, staffing, travel, and health and safety compliance.
• Coordinate post-event evaluation, collecting feedback, attendance data, and impact measures to inform future planning.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive events calendar.

Marketing and Promotional Support

• Work with the MarComms team to coordinate event and show related content for social media, digital platforms and printed collateral.
• Ensure all events, shows and conferences are added to RABI’s website and online calendar.
• Assist with design and distribution of promotional materials, using templates in Canva and maintaining brand consistency.
• Help to prepare pre-event and post-event communications including invitations, newsletters and thank-you communications.
• Manage and maintain an up-to-date inventory of promotional stock and branded materials.
• Support the wider MarComms team on cross-department projects and campaigns.

Stakeholder, Volunteer and Ambassador Engagement

• Liaise with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure smooth event operations and representation.
• Coordinate volunteer and ambassador attendance at events and help ensure a positive experience.
• Provide on-site support at key events, acting as a friendly and informed ambassador for RABI.

Administrative and Reporting Duties

• Support the Events Manager with budget tracking and processing of invoices and expenses.
• Ensure accurate record keeping in the CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics).
• Support internal coordination meetings and help document action points and timelines.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Proven experience in event delivery, marketing or a related role.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in managing social media platforms and scheduling tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

We’re seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the development and delivery of a new collaborative, cross-sector programme in East and North Hertfordshire, aimed at growing and sustaining volunteers across health and community settings.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative initiative that builds on the surge of volunteering for health we saw during the pandemic. Essential skills, experience and personal attributes:

The Role

As Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the financial strategy and operations of LTM, ensuring robust financial management, governance, and performance. This is a pivotal role on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting directly to the Director and attending all Board meetings. You will also deputise for the Director when required.

This role goes beyond traditional finance leadership. You will be a moderniser—driving transformation, leading negotiations, overseeing broader business support functions, and contribute to LTM50, including capital programme oversight. You will be the face of financial and business systems at LTM, helping to deliver a future-fit museum aligned with our strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of LTM’s overall budget, ensuring financial sustainability across short, medium, and long-term goals
• Oversee all aspects of financial control, governance, reporting, and compliance with statutory, charity, and TfL requirements
• Deliver timely and accurate statutory accounts, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
• Lead business support functions and liaise with TfL departments including HR, Procurement, Reward, Tech and Data and Finance
• Provide strategic financial advice to the Board of Trustees, SLT, and wider teams
• Represent LTM in financial negotiations with external partners and suppliers
• Champion a high-performing, inclusive finance team—setting clear goals, recognising success, and modelling LTM’s values
• Collaborate closely with TfL Finance to ensure alignment and efficiency
• Ensure all financial and legal obligations are met and policies are up to date and followed

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven track record in senior finance leadership roles within complex organisations, and will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience at Board level and ability to work in collaboration with Trustees and colleagues;
• Understanding and experience of strategic risk management, finance audit and internal controls;
• Broad operational knowledge including digital transformation, estates, and HR;
• Experience navigating challenging financial climates and driving efficiencies.

DUTIES OF THE POST

• Co-producing and implementing data-led impact evaluation tools and a community needs assessment framework, grounded in the Theory of Change model, to support improved mental health outcomes.

• Leading the creation of a scalable follow-up review tool to track long-term service user outcomes and support strategic decision-making.

You’ll help run our Soup Kitchen sessions at St Peter’s Church in Blackpool’s South Shore, making sure food preparation, service and cleanup run smoothly. About the role:

To provide front-line support services to Motability, Warwick House and Stadium Way ensuring high levels of customer service.The role is a diverse role with an ever-changing environment, workload and demand so the ability to work under pressure and with a variety of priorities is essential.

As part of this role there is a requirement to work out of hours, in the evening, weekends and bank holidays as required, In addition you will be on call 24 hours a day on a 4-weekly rota.

What you will be doing:

Helpdesk and Building Management System (BMS) Usage 

• Use the Helpdesk system to monitor, input, respond and react to jobs logged.

• Utilise the BMS to control and adapt settings of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Identify and act on fault alerts within the system and identify the correct course of remedial action. 

• Be the main point of contact for any plant room issues. Take and record monthly utility readings. 

 Vehicles and Driving Duties 

• Safely drive the company minibus when required. 

• In accordance with the departments pre planned maintenance schedule, co-ordinate the MOTs, servicing, Road Fund License applications and tail lift services for the company vehicles. 

• Keep the pool vehicles and minibus in good condition to ensure roadworthiness. Record mileage, maintain logbook records. Prepare and maintain user guides for all company pool cars.

• Prepare Motability Foundation vehicles for end of lease return in a timely fashion and as to limit any penalties. 

• Receive in from suppliers and provide handover of hire vehicles and pool cars to staff including instructions on safe use and record damage, fuel levels etc. 

 Maintenance and Health and Safety Duties 

• Provide light maintenance as applicable.

• Ensure that all access and egress areas are kept clear and risk free.
• Provide retrieval, storage, and distribution of items to and from our storage locations.

• Ensure that all health and safety paperwork and logbooks are maintained.

• Conduct Health and Safety Walk Rounds for all new starters.

 Audio Visual and Technical Support  

• Be the first point of contact for any Audio-Visual queries, trouble shoot the system and resolve any issues.

• Design, arrange and deliver training for end users on how to use the equipment. 

Security and Disaster Recovery Duties 

• As required program the pass control cards for staff.

• Undertake the new starter and leaver process.

• Utilise the organisations CCTV system as appropriate in accordance with the security policy.

• Act as a key holder in the opening of the building daily.

• On a roster basis, act as a key holder for alarm activation call outs during the working week, out of hours and at weekends including public holidays. 

• Investigate any potential security issues that may occur during the day.

• Play a vital role in the recovery of the business in case of service failure or systems loss.
