Re-engage has just launched a new five-year strategy which will have growth at its heart. We’re looking for an exceptional person to join our team as a Finance Officer and be a vital part of this exciting phase of our development.
 
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Resources and sitting within the finance team you will work with your fellow Finance Officer to provide an exemplary financial service to all our stakeholders.
 
Re-engage currently has a finance team of just two and we’re looking to increase our capacity to ensure resilience as we enter the first year of our growth strategy.
 
The person we are looking for is self-motivated and highly organised and can take responsibility for the transactional processing of the charity’s finances along with your fellow Finance Officer, under the guidance of the Director of Finance and Resources.
 
There will be an opportunity to study for the AAT or another relevant financial qualification, with progression to providing support to produce financial information to trial balance.

Key responsibilities
 
Financial

• Undertake the processing of the purchase ledger function
• Ensure all stakeholders, internal and external, are paid promptly and accurately, and within the Charity’s payment terms
• Manage the finance mailbox
• Process all financial transactions relating to the charity’s bank accounts
• Undertake control accounts reconciliations
• Administration of the volunteer group funds
• Procurement of charity equipment
• Ensure financial controls are adhered to across the charity
• Ensure the financial timetables are adhered to

 
In conjunction with the Director of Finance and Resources assist with:

• the preparation of the monthly management accounts and reporting to stakeholders
• the preparation of the annual budget setting and interim reforecasts as required
• Assist with the preparation of the annual external audit

 
Systems
 
Work with the Director of Finance and Resources to improve, automate and streamline the charity’s financial processes and systems, including identifying and evaluating new systems where necessary and embedding finance into the charity's CRM
 
Other
 
You may be required to undertake other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post. There will be occasional out of hours work required and travel to regional and team meetings is expected,

The Role

The organisation is a Christian think tank which seeks a world in which Christian ideas about human flourishing are drawn upon to answer some of the world’s biggest challenges. They stimulate debate about the place of religion in society, challenging and changing ideas through research, commentary and events.

As Researcher you will work on mixed–methods research projects (potentially on subjects including recent interest in faith amongst young people, motherhood, and Christian Nationalism). You will work with the team to conduct literature reviews, design interview guides and questionnaires, identify and contact interviewees, conduct and analyse interviews, work on data analysis, project report write-ups and presentations.

About You

We are looking for someone with an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, proven ability to conduct in-depth interviews, some knowledge of quantitative research, excellent organisational and communication abilities, in particular to write research reports. You will also have an active interest and knowledge in the role of Christianity in contemporary Britain.

The Director of Income Generation and Engagement will be responsible for diversifying and developing RLSS UK’s income streams, predominately through fundraising. The role will also be accountable for strengthening and developing the RLSS UK brand, increasing visibility, growing engagement levels and income through enhanced presence and public awareness. • Work one-on-one with adults and children with a visual impairment and their carers/ families, providing a comprehensive initial assessment in a person-centred, empathetic, and empowering manner.
• Provide internal and external referrals and deliver follow-up actions to enable maximum wellbeing for service users.
• Manage incoming and outgoing referrals internally and with a wide range of external providers, communicating promptly to manage cases effectively and safely.
• Work closely with team members and volunteers to collate and send Information Packs and other necessary communications such as appointment letters in accessible formats.
• Assess risks as needed and report any safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.

Equipment:

• Be aware of and able demonstrate and advise on equipment for people with a visual impairment when needed and/or refer to other services.
• If needed during home/ care home visits, provide minor adaptations such as high visibility tape on steps or tactile markings on appliances.

Data management:

• Ensure that all service delivery to individuals and service user data is promptly and appropriately recorded and managed on the Vision North Somerset database, in accordance with procedures.
• Work with team members and volunteers to maintain accuracy of the Vision North Somerset service user database, including collecting data permissions and equality monitoring information from service users during visits.

Local networking and knowledge:

• Develop and maintain knowledge and resources on relevant services offered by organisations to people in North Somerset. Work with the Administrator to maintain records on online files and paper files (for example service leaflets).
• Occasionally attend local meetings, arrange meetings with staff from key local organisations or represent Vision North Somerset to develop mutual knowledge of local services.

· Maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with Vision North Somerset staff (and volunteers if appropriate).

· Ensure that other staff understand your role and that you work cooperatively with good communication.

· Maintain awareness of and follow our policies and processes.

· Undertake regular supervision meetings and training in topics such as: accessible information, safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

· Assist in the planning and improving of the delivery of service improvement and participate positively in the implementation of new working methods and practices as required.

· Be an excellent ambassador for the charity.

· Carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Centre Manager to play a vital part in leading one of our residential centres, ensuring we deliver unforgettable experiences for children and young people aged 8–13. This role will oversee operations at our Ashbourne site in Derbyshire, contributing to the safe, smooth, and inspiring running of our centres.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Centre Manager with strong leadership and operational skills, as well as a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people.

You will have the following essential skills and experience:

• Excellent understanding of Health & Safety, safeguarding, and child-centred activity planning.
• Proven experience in facilities, land, or fleet management.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a multi-disciplinary team.
