Job description

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. It drives us.

It drives our award-winning Policy and Public Affairs team to shape law, policy and practice to ensure children can grow up free from abuse and neglect.

To help us achieve even more for children, we are recruiting six Policy and Public Affairs Officers across the UK. We are looking for:

  • 1 x Policy and Public Affairs Officer based in Northern Ireland
  • 1 x Policy and Public Affairs Officer based in Scotland
  • 1 x Policy and Public Affairs Officer based in Wales
  • 3 x Policy and Public Affairs Officers based in England, with one focused on online safety

These will be key roles in a high-performing team with an inclusive, supportive and empowering team dynamic. Post-holders will support the delivery of a range of policy-focused projects both within their respective nation policy team, and across our UK-wide team.

The successful candidates will be:

  • committed to our mission to prevent child abuse;
  • able to demonstrate good policy development and policy research skills;
  • a strong communicator and effective network builder; and
  • have experience of influencing policy change in England/Northern Ireland/Scotland/Wales, as the specific role requires.

 Join us and you'll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You'll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that'll bring the best out in you. And you'll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.
