The Volunteer Coordinator roles are vital components of this project. We want to attract candidates from the East of England with sound local knowledge (who are able to travel around the area) both of which will be important parts of this job.

About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager (External) to provide continuity while our EDI Strategy Lead is on maternity leave. Reporting to the Executive Director, Impact and working with key stakeholders and colleagues across the whole organisation, you will help ensure alignment between our external For Everyone Strategic Framework and our new organisational strategy. As a charity for everyone, this framework outlines our approach to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion internally within our organisation and externally in our delivery work.

As the EDI Manager (External) you will be supporting the Senior Leadership Team to deliver core actions from the For Everyone External Action Plan. You will also be responsible for reporting and evaluating progress on the implementation of the For Everyone External Action Plan.

You will be overseeing the consistent implementation of Sustrans Approaches, a new document that sets out the services that Sustrans offers, with a particular focus on inclusive design and delivery. As part of this, you will be providing guidance, training and bespoke support to colleagues, so that they feel confident and competent in inclusive design principles and practice.

Ensuring quality and timely execution, you will be managing specific EDI work projects and change initiatives, as outlined in the External Action Plan and/or Sustrans Approaches. This includes coordinating colleagues across UK-wide teams to share knowledge, resources and good practice on embedding equity, diversity and inclusion across our external projects.

This role will be home-based, with the option of hybrid working. Occasional travel to our hubs across the UK will be required as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

About you

You should have previous experience of managing and implementing EDI related initiatives in engagement, infrastructure and/or urban planning projects, including supporting colleagues to embed EDI in their work.

You will be skilled in inclusive design principles in the delivery of engagement, infrastructure and/or urban planning projects, including training others to apply inclusive design principles in project delivery. 

You should have successful project management experience, with excellent time management and organisational skills. You will also be accustomed to multitasking to tight deadlines.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly skilled Training Development Manager to join our small, friendly and hard-working team.

We are Laurelle Brown Training and Consultancy (LBTC), an independent consultancy founded in 2017, as a response to the persistent challenges and discrimination faced by racialised children across the services and support systems they rely on. We collaborate with partners to strengthen equity, diversity and inclusion across complex systems for children.

We are a dynamic and busy consultancy, with 5 staff members, and a pool of associate consultants and trainers that support the delivery of our work. We break it up into 3 stages:

1. A skill-based task to complete and present at virtual panel interview (1 week to prepare).
2. A virtual panel interview where you will discuss your experience and skills with our Director, Business Manager and an Associate (1 hour) - scheduled for Tuesday 25 June 2024.

This Community Fundraising Volunteering Officer role is a newly created role due to the investment and growth across mass fundraising.

You will join the Community and Volunteer team, work closely with the Volunteering Manager, and will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of new and existing fundraising volunteering programmes, increasing participation and enhancing volunteer’s experiences. You will also support with the long-term planning of the volunteer fundraising programme.

As the Community Fundraising Volunteering Officer, your key responsibilities will be to:

• Coordinate the delivery and support the development of all volunteer-led fundraising and volunteering projects.
• Recruit, support, steward and develop fundraising volunteers and fundraising volunteer groups, enabling them to inspire and engage their local communities to generate income.
• Coordinate new and existing volunteer projects, enhancing the quality of the volunteer experience and meeting income targets.
• Responsible for researching and developing fundraising volunteering opportunities in communities across the UK, communicating these opportunities with the volunteers.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, ensuring excellent volunteer stewardship and delivery, working with the Community Team to maximise volunteer-led income.
• Coordinate resources, tools and products for fundraising volunteers, responding to localised needs of current communities across the UK.
• Lead on the planning and promotion of fundraising volunteering programme.
• Assess and identify training and development needs of fundraising volunteers, and work with the Volunteer L&D Co-ordinator to organise training.

To be successful in this role you will have prior experience and knowledge of:

• Working within a similar volunteer stewardship and community fundraising role, with the experience of volunteer recruitment and stewardship.
• Experience of working towards financial targets and KPI’s. With a proven track record in achieving financial and non-financial targets in a community/fundraising capacity.
• Experience with stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skills, with the skills to persuade, motivate and inspire external audiences.
• Also, strong working knowledge of: Charity Law, Volunteering rights, Data Protection Law and GDPR, The Fundraising Code of Practice, Gift Aid and other fundraising standards across the UK

Main Responsiblities: 

• Supporting the Professional Officer in managing finance, human resources, risk management, quality, operational change, board activities and business planning for the organisation.
