The Fundraising Officer at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) supports a wide range of the charity’s activities, including but not limited to, helping to develop and grow income from individual donors with a focus on developing strong relationships with donors and families; as well as assisting with CHECT’s overall admin and operations.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping families affected by retinoblastoma and shares our values to increase awareness through communications and appeals, expanding our social media and website content and supporting our exciting fundraising efforts.

You will have a high level of autonomy and will be given the opportunity to develop new ideas in a role that is varied and flexible. 

Key Objectives of the role:

• To assist the Fundraising Manager on the organisation of events primarily mass participation events
• To assist the Fundraising Manager in providing excellent stewardship to all of CHECT’s supporters
• Management of the fundraising inbox, social media and regular email and telephone communications
• To provide admin and communication support to the wider CHECT team, monitoring the info@inbox and collecting and sending office post

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team, responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK.

The role is a combination of customer service provision and supply chain coordination with a strong data focus. You will analyse varied datasets to decide how food is distributed across our Network to ensure optimal and sustainable distribution. You will also be responsible for continuing and championing the high levels of customer service we provide to the food industry and our network of Regional Centres.

You will work closely with FareShare’s food suppliers, transport partners, and our Regional Centres to identify and overcome operational challenges to distribution. The successful candidate will also work closely with our Food Commercial team to ensure our food partners receive excellent operational support and customer service. We are continually evolving our processes and you will work within a culture of continuous improvement to improve operations within the team.

Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
• Work closely with the Food Commercial Managers, providing feedback and reporting on service issues and attending meetings and site visits as appropriate
• Assist Food Team with insight and feedback from food businesses, capturing key account information in our CRM system

 Regional Centre allocation

• Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste 
• Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
• Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
• Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres.
• Build your understanding of our Network and your relationship with Regional Centres through a programme of regular site visits in collaboration with the Network Development Managers
• Work with the Network Development Managers and Food Supply & Services Managers to identify opportunities to maximise and grow redistributed food volumes

Logistics and transport

• Work with Commercial Managers and hauliers to implement best practice processes and reduce costs for FareShare whilst maximising acceptance of food
• Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
• Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics
• Reactively solve transport issues throughout the working day

Data and Analysis

• Use FareShare PowerBI reports to ensure optimal product allocation within contract requirements
• Specify, build, monitor and analyse Salesforce reports to increase efficiency of allocation
• Use dashboards to monitor network issues
• Lead regional network agreement service level review meetings
• Report on data integrity issues to the Network Analyst

Team coordination and representation

• Support the Team providing assistance and cover when required e.g. during busy periods, annual leave and sickness to ensure an even spread of work across the team
• Support the training of new team members
• Represent the Supply Chain and Logistics team at network cluster and food category meetings
• Deputise for the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager when required
• Keep team process instructions up to date Project support

We are looking for a talented fundraiser, with a background in the cultural sector to join the Gardens, Libraries & Museums (GLAM) Team within the Development and Alumni Engagement team of the University of Oxford.

Key Accountabilities

· To maintain and update records on Remember A Charity’s CRM database and E-Comms mailing lists for charities, legal supporters and partner organisations. To run CRM reports as required.

· To assist with the onboarding of new joiner charities and legal sector supporters.

· To use the website content management system (CMS) to build member charity and legal sector supporter online profiles; and to make any amends to these profiles and other website pages as required.

· To manage the central In-Box and respond to all enquiries or signpost to the relevant team member.

· To co-ordinate the programme of rolling annual membership renewal and new-joiner invoicing, including credit control of all invoices.

· To prepare monthly engagement report  collating key activity metrics for members and legal sector supporters

· To assist with online and in person member, prospect and legal sector supporter events, including creating registration links, managing attendee information on the CRM and other events preparation and follow-up required.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to cover parental leave. 

The successful candidate will have accountability for several key areas of operational delivery of BITC’s programmes across England, Scotland and Wales. This role will ensure the high quality and consistency of performance through these aspects of operational delivery and development, working closely with businesses, internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team, delivering programmes and contractual obligations across their patch. We are looking for someone to work with a clear strategy and then develop, grow and successfully manage our Youth Advisory (YAG) and Alumni groups, as well as lead the engagement of families / support networks. We are in our third year of running our YAG and yet to launch our Alumni offer. This role will therefore involve leading the implementation, development, and growth of the membership of both DFN Project SEARCH YAG and Alumni group. This will include planning and facilitating a programme of activities throughout the year for YAG and Alumni members, which we hope will be a mix of in person and online events.

This post holder will also provide ongoing training to YAG, Alumni and parent/carer members and facilitate their participation in our advocacy work. There will also be opportunities to deliver training to our central and partner teams alongside members of these groups

• Contributes ideas and content for circulation across communication channels - web, socials, trade press - to increase the profile of PCF and ACE.

4. Ensure smooth and effective operations of PCF and ACE.

CamSight is a respected charity that supports people living with low vision and blindness in Cambridgeshire to live the lives they choose. The charity offers an holistic service ensuring any person with a vision impairment gets the support they need, when they need it.

We are looking to recruit a Community and Events Fundraiser to raise the profile and awareness of CamSight and increase income through developing and securing a range of funding streams including individual supporters, challenge events, community, and digital fundraising. The post holder will help to develop and ensure the effective delivery of the community fundraising strategy in relation to generating sustainable income from third parties, brand campaigns and challenge events.

The role will help grow our portfolio of events, working collaboratively to explore ideas and launch new initiatives to help us achieve our mission. The role plays an important part in helping us to meet our fundraising targets by increasing participation and community engagement in our events and fundraising activities.

The Inclusion Officer will be responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of the Trust’s social inclusion programmes across Northamptonshire, this includes the Premier League Kicks programme and anti-crime initiatives. The Premier League Kicks programme is a flagship targeted project, which uses the power of football and sports participation, alongside personal development activities, to help hard-to-reach young people in some of the most high-need areas. 

The Inclusion Officer will be integral to the successful delivery and growth of the Kicks Programme across Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and development of the Kicks programme, as well as other disability and inclusion projects that help to connect communities, leading a team to deliver these initiatives. In addition, the post holder will have frontline delivery responsibility, engaging with young people, leading on the delivery of youth engagement sessions, and the delivery of educational workshops in the local community. 

These will be based on themes including knife crime, equality, anti-social behaviour and mental health. You’ll be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential. You’ll use your skills to help inspire, motivate and engage young people so that NTFC CT can enhance life chances and contribute to building stronger, safer, connected communities. This role will require some evening working and a flexible approach is required.
